Ahad Raza Mir as Dr. Asfandyar Ali Khan 🩺

The power walk, head held high, the oath in his voice 🙌🙌🙌 ain’t no one out there like Ahad Raza Mir! Total goosebumps!

One of his most powerful scenes in the drama.

Ishq Murshid is an underrated Master Piece

I love how the director and producers were more focused on making on an enjoyable story with composition that supports it, from the first frame, down to the last episode frame it felt like they paid so much attention. There were some editing mistakes I noticed.

I enjoyed it better than the recent Ahad - Maya drama, that one felt like it was less about story and more about being a seminar lecture about feminism and masculinity, it feels forced and manufactured, like someone threatened the writer. It doesn't flow or connect with the story which makes it unenjoyable and most importantly unbelievable. Same problem with Zanjeerein with their other scenes.

Now I understand why Bilal and Durefishan are praised. I really wished they were together in real life.

Men written by Women ♥️

Abu Bakr by Umera Ahmed, Sarbuland and Mudasir by Farhat Ishtiaq. Men should take notes. Photos are taken from Pinterest.

Lazy Drama Editing Rant

For the past year, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched our TV dramas and wondered: Did they just hire a wedding videographer to edit this? There is a glaring lack of basic cinematic vision. I know incredibly talented editors who could make every penny of a drama's budget look like a Hollywood blockbuster, but their talents are entirely monopolized by the commercial (TVC) industry.

Honestly, your average TikTok edit pages have a better grasp of pacing. The editors working on these dramas seem to have no instinct for when to cut a scene or how to properly layer sound effects. It’s painfully obvious that storyboarding is a foreign concept; episodes frequently kick off with so-called "hooks" that are just chaotic, mismatched clips mashed together.

If I have to see one more show open with a cliché shot of a character waking up, or a completely pointless drone shot trying way too hard to look "edgy," I might lose it. It makes you wonder what is happening to our film and television standards.

Yet, the real punchline is the sheer delusion of the production companies. They sit back, watch these sloppy, uninspired edits, and genuinely believe they've just produced the next Netflix Original.
