What do you think is the role of Shehbaz's character in Hurmat? Is he an anti hero or the main villain? I heard they were going to cast Ahmed Ali Akbar for a negative role.
For the past year, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched our TV dramas and wondered: Did they just hire a wedding videographer to edit this? There is a glaring lack of basic cinematic vision. I know incredibly talented editors who could make every penny of a drama's budget look like a Hollywood blockbuster, but their talents are entirely monopolized by the commercial (TVC) industry.
Honestly, your average TikTok edit pages have a better grasp of pacing. The editors working on these dramas seem to have no instinct for when to cut a scene or how to properly layer sound effects. It’s painfully obvious that storyboarding is a foreign concept; episodes frequently kick off with so-called "hooks" that are just chaotic, mismatched clips mashed together.
If I have to see one more show open with a cliché shot of a character waking up, or a completely pointless drone shot trying way too hard to look "edgy," I might lose it. It makes you wonder what is happening to our film and television standards.
Yet, the real punchline is the sheer delusion of the production companies. They sit back, watch these sloppy, uninspired edits, and genuinely believe they've just produced the next Netflix Original.
For now with how small the community is, we

If they are actors or influencers it doesn't matter we'll expand the awards once we get bigger. Names with top upvotes will be nominated with a final poll to cast your votes.
For a few days, possibly even more but I'll be watching over and moderating in the mean time, and will continue next week after a few posts, some of them are scheduled.
First and the most obvious one, it is too late for OTTs. People have gotten sick and tired of paying subscriptions to companies, only for them to fail in guaranteeing the integrity of the content they paid to watch. You do not own anything it's just a license. YouTube was at least way better if they removed those intrusive Ads on the corners. Also, will actors, writers, and the rest of the crew receive their shares?
OTT is only exclusive to Pakistan, others like Prime Video and HBO Max target a bigger demographic, which brings in returns. There is also the fear of creating a monopoly and allowing for more corruption in the industry.
Lastly, piracy is the most obvious one, not even Netflix could do anything about it. Why would people pay services unworthy of trust when they can watch it for free? Not to mention the data server maintenance costs along with cyber security risks.
