Coron Tour

Hello. I'll be in Coron this June. My problem is 2pm ang hotel check-in and 8am ang arrival namin. Pasuggest po ng pwedeng gawin sa spare hours namin.

reddit.com

[PH] Anyone has ever been scammed, cheated, fooled by Ace Travellers Inn in Palawan?

I would like to share a serious safety and customer service issue regarding this property.

I was assigned a room where the window could be opened from the outside with minimal effort, which raised significant security concerns. When I raised this issue, I was informed that the room was considered “safe,” despite the clear risk to guest security and personal belongings.

As a solo female traveler, I found the situation unacceptable and incompatible with basic standards of accommodation safety. I requested a room change, which was refused. I also requested a refund, which was likewise denied.

In my view, the property failed to meet a reasonable duty of care toward guest safety and did not provide an adequate resolution after the issue was raised.

Just One Week - Is this reasonable?

Would really appreciate some help!

I'm tentatively planning to head over from Canada for some diving, thought I had everything figured out then realized I can't get direct from MNL to ENI. I land in MNL June 12 at 0620, and depart MNL June 19 at 0925.

My original plan was to fly into ENI and stay a couple nights in El Nido town along with the overnight dive trip with Submariner before heading to Sibaltan for 3 nights. But there's no direct flights MNL to ENI any more, and Submariner isn't running the overnight trip.

Option 1: I can get to PPS at like 1130am, rent a car, and theoretically be in El Nido by 6ish. But I understand Google maps drive times can be ...misleading... And then would have to be back in PPS by 1950 June 18 to fly back to MNL. I feel like i might be burning an extra 2 days just for travel.

Option 2: Get from MNL to Clark and fly to ENI that way. Still 2 hours ish on the road each way to Clark.

Option 3: Find somewhere else I can get to direct from MNL that has cool diving. I really liked the rustic aspect of Sibaltan though.

Thanks for your help, and I'm definitely open to suggestions!

Watch out El Nido the p***raelis are here.

Was looking to book a tour just now and overheard this woman say. I want to do the p***raelis tour group only. Yikes. Almost couldn’t contain myself and had to ask the concierge not to put me with their kind.

Fuel Smart - Live Fuel Price Tracking App

For all the drivers that are trying to save some gas money. 🙇‍♂️

Started as passion project, not really a mobile developer but ended creating one. Project started 4th week of January giving 30mins - 1 hour a day progress. Learned everything from scratch and forced to expedite the project because of the ongoing fuel crisis.

This is now what it looks like 1 month after going live.

It has massive support in some areas of the Philippines and is sustainable but it is struggling to retain users on areas that has no data yet 😞

Features ⛽:

✅ Crowdsourced prices

➡️Usually requires 2-3 exact same reports to be verified but for now in the early stage, disabled muna.

➡️Distance constraints: User can only update a fuel station's price when it is near to that area by approximately 3km. Some users take pictures and update the prices later when on when they are on full stop driving.

➡️Price guard, only accepts values near the current market price average per fuel type Price photo capture, works only on mobile app using ML kit as tesseract.js for browser seems insufficient.

✅ Dynamic station indicators

➡️Green: Prices were updated on the current week's fuel price adjustments

➡️Red: Prices were not updated after the week's price adjustments

➡️Gray: Stale, no fuel price info yet. No DOE prices as this creates user expectation when in reality, the actual fuel price is not close to the DOE's. P.S. Fuel stations can set their own fuel prices higher or lower than DOE's.

✅10 cheap fuel list

➡️Displays the top 10 cheapest fuel based on the filters of fuel type, distance, brand, and max price.

✅Route Planning

➡️Set a route and the app will display only stations near to that.

➡️Filters and sets the prices along your route in the "Cheap fuel list" Purple markers: Means that it is the cheapest fuel along your route.

✅Leaderboards

✅Fuel Expense Tracker

✅Vehicle Registration Board

✅And many more features to go around.

Tuli operation in Palawan?

Is it possible to get circumcised as a tourist in Philippines, for example in Palawan. Would it be recommended or what's important to know about it?

I'm a student and my plan is to travel around the country for a longer period of time and I was thinking about getting it done there since it is really common there and cheaper than in my country. That's why I was curious if it's worth getting it done there. Thanks for any help or clinic recommendation.

Solo birthday trip to El Nido — where to stay if you’re not into nightlife?

Hi! Planning to spend my birthday in for 5D4N as a solo female traveler 😊

So far, I only plan to do Tour A and Tour C, then just chill the rest of the trip. I’m not into bars, parties, or hostel social scenes. More of an introverted tita who enjoys quiet mornings, good food, nice views, and a peaceful place to recharge 😅

Would really appreciate recommendations for quiet inns, B&Bs, or hotels that are:

- safe for solo female travelers

- peaceful at night

- accessible to tours/restaurants but not in the middle of the party crowd

Also, tips, do's and don'ts are appreciated!

Okay with splurging a bit if the place is really worth it. Salamat po!

Worried about Jun 29 - Jul 10 weather in El Nido

Hey everyone, I'm sure you all get messages like this, basically my girlfriend and I saved up a lot (for a long time!) for an amazing Palawan trip this summer and these dates were pretty much the only days we could get a vacation. A tropical paradise is our dream since we live in a cold and beach-less country 🥲

I've already read up a lot and found out that weather in this time can be generally okay, but I just want some reassurance I guess 🤣 🤣 is the weather going to be okay on these days? Especially considering El Niño is supposed to be super hot with a drought? Any first hand experience traveling this time in El Nido?

Thanks a ton! 🙏
