Failed Nclex my first time what do I need to do?

This is my CPR, I took it on the 18th of this month and felt like I did great. I got shut off at 85 questions and majority of my test was case studies and SATA, I feel very discouraged considering I thought the harder the questions the better you were doing. I didn’t study that much and watch Mark K’s lecture 12 about 4 or 5 times before my test and on and off his other lectures for about 2 days.

Whats some advice you can give me? I had a Labor and delivery job on the line and now I feel like I don’t even want to do nursing.

PVT TRICK NCLEX 2026

So I tested yesterday and I wanted to know if the Pvt trick still work or how accurate it is. I’ve tried it many times and got the “good pop up”. Anxiety post exam is sooo baddddd! I wasn’t mentally prepared for it.

HELP

This was my last attempt. I really REALLY want to pass this time around. I'm currently using Saunders questions on evolve and a little but it hurts but not a lot. I think Saunders is helping more. Anything you recommend more? I only work about 4 hrs but I have such a hard time studying. Like I will literally yawn. I also take adhd meds here and there to help me but I don't take it often. I need help retaining things to my brain. I feel like sometimes it goes out from one ear to another no matter how much I study it. This studying has made me not want to do anything until I pass LOL. Any advice you can give me studying wise? I also feel like I see so many things online and I wanna try each and every but I know Saunders is what's really helpful. TIA <3

Passed my nclex at 89 on first trial.

Nclex is not as hard as you think. I studied for 90 days (day and night)
I used Bootcamp for a month, Asher for the second month and mark k/ dr Sharon for the 3rd month. It was worth it.
I didn’t think I was guessing the answers, I felt like I was practicing questions the same way I was practicing with my resources. It felt regular to me and I wasn’t anxious. I was confident in my self throughout the exam but after few days waiting for my result, I start to loose confident for nothing lol. I hoped and prayed and lo and behold, I passed. If I can do it, you can do it.

Passed Nclex at 150 questions

I’m an internationally educated nurse, and my NCLEX preparation was honestly a rollercoaster. I used Uworld and completed 100% of the question bank, and my score was 67%. I was not bothered about the score because I was actively learning while doing the questions and reading rationales. I also watched Mark K , Dr Sharon and simple nursing videos on YouTube.

My self-assessments weren't exactly reassuring either. I had 2 bordeline and 2 highs on Uworld including a bordeline score on a bootcamp assessment. Instead of obsessing over the percentages, I eventually started focusing on why I was getting questions wrong and targeted my weak areas like prioritization, delegation, maternity and pediatrics

During the exam, I went all the way to 150 questions and didn’t panick because I was expecting it. There were a LOT of SATA, a couple of bow-ties and case studies, and several questions where I genuinely had no idea what the medication or disease was and I had to guess. The exam difficulty seemed to fluctuate, and I walked out thinking I might have just failed.

The 48 hours waiting period for the quick results was the hardest but seeing the pass when I checked made the wait worth it.

For me, the biggest lesson I took from this is don't let one readiness score or your QBank percentage determine how you feel about your ability to pass. Use those results to identify weaknesses, learn from the rationales, practice clinical judgment, and keep going.

Likelihood of passing the nclex?

Hi I take the nclex next week. I have experience working as a medsurg tech in the hospital for 3 years. I’ve been using ATI and U World to study and listening to Mark K lectures. My ATI pulse score is 95%. UWorld says I’m on track and in the 68th percentile rank. I score mid 70s with high percentile on UWorld CAT tests. And I score mid 60s with mid percentile on ATI’s CAT tests. Is there a high likelihood I’ll pass? Or can someone help interpret my scores? I’m not sure how my scores compare to the nclex. And any study tips or things I should do to prepare?

Passed in 85

Used bootcamp, archer and nurse achieve (just cos my school used it so might as well). 3 months to study only from 4am-7am only maybe 3x a week ( im a dad to two small kids and work RPN full time, not gunna take more time away from them cos fuck that) then random questions on my down times. Replaced doom scrolling with nclex apps - biggest game changer. Listened to all Mark K lectures on my way to work and back. The pressure to pass this exam was crazy high for me, like i can’t fail. I can’t afford it. I’m not losing more time with my wife and kids.

None of these apps will prepare you fully for how vague the test is. I’ve always been a strong student, but always had a grind mentality. Don’t walk in there hoping that bitch ends at 85. Turn off that counter and save yourself the anxiety. Peak here and there for time management. Go and assume that the exam will go the full 150. Ive scored very high and at top percentiles of 11 readiness rest/CATs in three different apps - and I still got anxious, still went WTF in almost every nclex question.

What I’m saying is this. Trust the work that you do. Go in there and accept that it will be a grind. Practice self regulation and lowering your anxiety. Celebrate after without knowing if you passed or not - you’re celebrating hard work. Read everything twice and go slow. You passed nursing school, you know enough. Keep asking yourself “What would a safe nurse do?” Especially when youre really lost.

Get the work in. Trust the work. Learn to calm down. Pray. Execute. Celebrate. Then let God do His thing. If it’s your time, it’s your time.

Go get that RN.

Stoped at like 112 or 120

I feel like that was hard.

I got all high pass for UWORLD and BOOTCAMP etc.

I can’t believe it did not stop at 85.

I don’t know how to get rid of this horrible feeling.
