Upgrade?

Has anyone used the bathmate hydromax 9 extreme?

I’m thinking of upgrading as I’m currently filling out the regular hydromax 9 after a few pumps and I’m not seeing anymore gains with it. Just wondering if it worth getting due to the better suction? TIA

What am I doing wrong?

Hydro 7. Really difficult for me to get a good seal and no air bubbles.

When I do have a seal after one pump, it’s stuck in the down position, can’t pump up all the way.

Instructions state to hold the black pip in the closed position when filling with water and while making the seal.

Pressing that little piece of plastic takes incredible force and is so awkward and kind of hurts my fingers.

Where can I find a video or better tutorial for shower use?

Routine advice

Hi Guys

A quick one

I used to use the bathmate infrequently and got blisters so now I use and air pump. I do miss how uniform my dick would be after the bathemate and how my flaccid would hang and be like that for longer.

I think pumping is great that though it a measured approach.

I have been pumping for about 30 min using intervals and then I do a 20 minute feeder set before bed in 5 min sets.

I have been pumping at 7hg and it seems like the sweet spot where I see good expansion and feel and intense stretch in girth and I don’t increase much in length in that session. I do get some edema because I am uncut. Don’t think there is any getting away from that.

Should I go up by half an hg every 2 weeks or 1 a month so that I am at 10 in 3 months? Will I see that famous bathmate “all day pump” with air pumping too?

I will be adding the male hanger to the interval session soon. So that should be fun?

Thanks

Why Recovery Is the Most Ignored Part of Progress

Most people focus on what happens during a session. Very few focus on what happens after.

That’s the problem.

Progress isn’t created by stress alone. It’s created by how well your body recovers and adapts to that stress over time. Without recovery, even a good routine eventually turns into fatigue.

Why Recovery Matters

Every pumping session creates stress on the tissue — temporary expansion, fluid buildup, circulation changes, and fatigue. Recovery is what allows your body to normalize, adapt, and come back ready for the next session.

Without enough recovery, session quality drops, EQ can suffer, sensitivity may decrease, progress slows down, and setbacks become more common.

Why Most People Ignore It

Because recovery feels passive.

People naturally focus on longer sessions, more pressure, and more frequency because those things feel productive. Rest days don’t.

But recovery is what makes productive sessions possible in the first place.

Signs Your Recovery Isn’t Keeping Up

A lot of people don’t notice recovery problems until they’ve already pushed too far.

Lingering soreness, persistent swelling, reduced sensitivity, irritation, weaker EQ, or sessions starting to feel less effective over time are usually signs that recovery is incomplete.

What Good Recovery Actually Looks Like

Recovery isn’t just “no pain.”

Good recovery means normal sensitivity, stable EQ, no lingering discomfort, and feeling fully reset before the next session. If your body feels ready each time, you’re probably in a good zone.

The Mistake That Slows Most People Down

Trying to increase pressure or frequency before recovery is complete.

A lot of people progress too aggressively because things seem fine at first. But fatigue builds quietly in the background, and eventually progress stalls.

Long-Term Progress Is Built on Recovery

The people who stay consistent long-term usually respect rest days, adjust based on recovery instead of ego, progress gradually, and avoid extremes.

The best routine is not the hardest one. It’s the one you can maintain consistently without setbacks.

Recovery Is Part of the Process

Hydration, sleep, nutrition, stress levels, and rest days all affect how your body responds over time.

Ignoring recovery while constantly increasing volume is like flooring the gas pedal while ignoring engine maintenance. Eventually something breaks down.

Curious to hear your experience:

Did improving recovery change your progress? What recovery habits helped you the most? Have you ever realized you were training too much only after backing off for a while?

6 Types of Penis Pump Beginners (Which One Are You?)

After reading a lot of beginner posts and messages, I noticed most new pump users usually fall into one of these categories.

  1. The “Too Much Pressure” Beginner

Starts pumping too aggressively on day one thinking harder pressure = faster gains. Usually learns quickly that comfort and consistency matter more.

  1. The “Measurement Addict”

Measures after every session and gets frustrated over temporary size changes. Post-pump expansion is normal, but consistency matters more long term.

  1. The “Overthinking Researcher”

Reads forums and Reddit for weeks but is still scared to start because of sizing, pressure, routines, and conflicting advice.

  1. The “Inconsistent Beginner”

Pumps for 2 days, disappears for a week, then comes back and restarts the process over and over.

  1. The “Instant Results” Beginner

Gets discouraged after a few sessions because they expected permanent changes immediately instead of gradual progress.

  1. The “Routine Hopper”

Changes routines every few days because someone online recommended something different. Never stays consistent long enough to properly judge results.

Honestly, most beginners are a mix of several of these at first.

I made a full beginner guide covering pressure, routines, recovery, warmups, sizing, and common beginner mistakes here:

28M | 18 years of daily porn + fapping | Severe weak erection & no morning wood | Getting married in 6 months | Need serious help

Hi everyone,

I'm 28 years old. I started masturbating at age 10, and from 12-13 it became a daily addiction. For almost 18 years I was fapping nearly every single day (around 350 days a year), mostly with porn + vivid imagination. I used to lie in bed the whole day.

My condition right now is really bad:

No real morning wood for the last 10+ years

Erections are weak and lose hardness within 15-20 seconds

Cum is very thin

Flaccid dick looks shrunken (like 2-3 inches, dried kishmish type)

Even after cleaning or light touch, it gets semi-hard but doesn't stay

I tried sex at 18 (virgin both of us) and the girl said I'm not fully hard. At 19, I kissed a girl and came in my pants (she thought I finished). After that humiliation, I never tried sex again. Now my marriage is fixed in the next 6 months and I'm extremely scared and depressed.

I have tried NoFap many times. My longest streak was 13 days, but even then I was watching porn and sexting. Recently I keep relapsing every 2-4 days.

I know my main issues are:

Chronic over-masturbation (death grip + daily use)

Porn addiction (hentai, stories, Japanese porn)

Severe performance anxiety

Question for you guys:

Is this recoverable in 5-6 months?

Should I go full Hard Mode (No Porn + No Fap) or can I do No Porn + limited fap (1-2 times/week)?

What worked for people who had similar severe symptoms (no MW for 10 years, weak erections, thin cum)?

Any advice, routine, or success stories would mean a lot. I'm feeling very hopeless right now but I don't want to ruin my marriage.

Thanks in advance.

Does pumping help natural erections as well?

Just a basic question that for the life of me I can't seem to find the answer anywhere...

  • Does regular use of a pump help to achieve natural erections next time the sexy time calls?

I'm 39, still get fully hard morning woods about 2-3 times a week. But when it comes to sex, I tend to get in my head about it and thinking even a smidge of "oh boy, he's going down" can make my erection leave pretty quick, though I can usually get it back with some play time.

So yeah, I'm just wanting to get those rock hard, upward-angled erections more consistently, especially when it counts with my girl.

Do pumps help to achieve this end?

Size shrinks substantially as soon as pressure released, even with cockring

I’m using an automatic air pump, just started a few days ago. I tried using the default flat plastic cap with an opening, but even with the smallest one, sometimes a testicle gets sucked in which is extremely uncomfortable. So I figured I’d try the ‘toy’ attachment it came with, which is a very plush thick padded fleshlight type attachment. This solved the testicle problem, and it also feels great and makes a good seal.

Normally, before I ever tried pumping, I’m around 6.5 bone pressed. If I press hard into the pump with no vacuum, and the ‘toy’ opening attached, I come to around the 5.5” mark on the tube, so I figure the toy attachment takes about an inch off what the measurement would otherwise be. *With* the vacuum on, I come almost to the 7” mark within seconds, around 6.85” which presumably would translate to around 7.25-7.5” if the toy padding weren’t interfering with the measurement.

Trouble is, the *moment* the vacuum pressure is released, it shrinks back down to ‘normal’, even with a cock ring.

I know people say not to expect the gains to be permanent, but I assumed they’d last long enough to use. Is this normal? The fact that my dick apparently has the capacity to be well over 7 within seconds in a vacuum tube does make me wonder if that means I could conceivably achieve this with better cardio health or viagra etc..

Gain by Pumping Only?

So my starting measurement is 7.1”x5.5” bone pressed. But I want to reach 7.5”x6” BP. I was wondering if it was possible by only pumping.

I started using a pump yesterday and I was surprised with the erection and the fullness it gave me afterwards. So I’m planning to do 10 min. sessions 4-5 days a week.

Last thing, I had 2 varicocele surgeries in the past that’s why I don’t want to get too crazy with stretching or jelqing. I only want if a length increase of 0.4” and a girth increase of 0.5” possible in 6 months?

Beginner

M18, just bought a pump and looking for some tips. Also, is the little rubber piece supposed to be pretty tight? When I use it, it gets super veiny and it looks like the veins are about to pop. Just wondering if that’s normal or if it’s too tight.

Also, how long should sessions usually be, and how many days a week do people normally use it?

So I'm so new to this.

Recently purchased a pump with Guage and it came with rubber that needs to be attached at the base. I'm curious to know if it's necessary to use the pump with the rubber or if it's not cause I've seen some not using it. If so, what are the pros and cons.

First time pumping did I do it right?

Hello everyone! I am new to pumping and had my first session today. I bought this electric pump and wanted to see if I’m doing it right. It has three different suction mode and a quick release button. I used more than enough lubricant as suggested. I took the silicon insert out because it felt too tight. When I used it on the lowest mode it felt like I couldn’t go past 10 seconds without have to press the quick release button because it felt like too much pressure. There’s a little scale on the side of the tube which helped me stay within a certain range. In order to stay within that range and not feel too much pressure I kept having to press the quick release button to let off pressure every 5 seconds. I used it for 10 min as suggested and stopped. Did I do it right? Is it ok that I kept using the quick release button to stay within a certain range to not feel too much pressure? Thank you In advanced I suffer from ED and want to have better longer elections.
