Looking for crankbaits for panfish.
Zero experience. I currently use trout magnets, Mule Fishing soft plastics etc.
Want to expand my horizons.
Suggestions welcomed.
Edit: Thanks to all who responded. I am now armed with a great list.
Had a successful little evening session and got rewarded with a bass thumb for it.
I am on the lookout for a small suspending jerkbait for perch. It would be nice if it was also effective for Asp.
My rod setup is a 4 to 18gr rod.
I have access to Rapala mostly. Also some Savage gear, DUO, etc.
I would like to hear you suggestions.
Thank you very much in advance.
Quick little session until we both had two decent sized eating fish
I started fishing in August last year, mostly off popular piers. I spent the first few months confused about basically everything. I didn't know what rig to tie, I couldn't tell which fishing spots were good for which fish, and I couldn't read a tide chart well enough to know if I was showing up at the right time.
So I made a website for it: usekarp.com
You can find spots near you, compare them side by side, and get gear and bait suggestions for whatever you're targeting.
Check it out if you're getting into fishing.
I cannot even guess the length but it was very fatty. For Serbian fishing conditions I thinks this can be categorised as a big perch.
Caught in the danube River on a Rapala X light crank in the colour perch
Caught from a clear Czech river on a 2 g spoon.
Was so fun to catch it with a shoal of similarly-sized perch following it in!
I couldn't say if it was 25 or 30 cm. But it impressed the kids who saw it!
Hello,
So im pretty new to this UL / Perch fishing thing, but i have caught fish before.
I've been on 2 perch fishing sessions and both were blank. I dont know what i am doing wrong, i ussually throw a small 6g tail spinner or a size 2 spinner.
Any tips?
Hello, this is bothering me. I've been fishing in a private pond for a few days now and haven't had a single catch or even a bite. I'm fishing for perch and trout with all kinds of lures and want to avoid pike. I have a 5-20g rod with a Redfish CS 2000 reel. I'm using 16/100 braid without a leader: the water is murky and green, and beyond 15cm you can't even see your hand. I have these lures with me, but I'm not getting any results. Oh, and I also have a snap swivel.
