Me and two buddies went out fishing at a new spot in the Baltic Sea. We fought our way through a severely overgrown channel with the boat and finally made it to a bit of a hidden pearl. We managed to catch around 200 perch (most likely more; lost count) and with a pretty good average at that as well.

Free rig absolutely dominated, as they didn’t want to touch hardbaits or anything that didn’t fish close to the bottom. Almost every spot held fish and we basically caught a nice perch in every cast in the last hour of fishing.

Best lures for me:

1. Geecrack SAF Stick 3” (free rig)

2. Nikko Craw (free rig)

3. O.S.P DoLive SS-Gill 2” (free rig)

What an adventure! It’s fun to discover those obscure places few people have the energy and chance to get to. It literally took us half an hour to get through the reeds, so we really worked for it.

Pictures show back to back 40 cm+ perch (1 and 2) and the reedy nightmare we went through (the best looking section) (3).
