Are Night Owl and Mephisto really that far ahead of other auto breeders?

I’m curious how good Night Owl and Mephisto really are these days. I’ve grown both before, but that was with some of their older strains from a few years back, and honestly, they didn’t seem that special compared to something like HSC autos.

Would you say Night Owl and Mephisto are actually in a league of their own when it comes to autos, or has the competition pretty much caught up by now?

And if you do think they’re better, what specifically sets them apart? Better terps, denser buds, less leaf-to-bud ratio, more consistent phenos, better structure, potency, yield? What are they actually doing better than other top auto breeders that justifies the hype?

What’s a classic “can’t go wrong” Speedrun strain?

For those of you who’ve grown Speedrun Seeds before, what would you consider their absolute classic pick?

I’m looking for something with terpy, compact buds, frosty and preferably not too leafy. Basically something that trims up nicely and has really good bag appeal.

Been wanting to give Speedrun a try for a while, so I’d rather start with one of their proven favorites.

How can I prevent powdery mildew from spreading to my flowering plants?

Hey, what should I spray on my flowering plants to prevent powdery mildew?

My cucumbers and melon plants are pretty badly infested with powdery mildew, and I’m worried it could spread to my cannabis flowers. Is there anything I can spray or do to prevent it before it becomes a problem?

It’s also supposed to rain for like 2 weeks straight, which makes me even more worried about it spreading.

What’s the densest/most compact, low leaf auto you’ve ever grown?

Here’s mine (grown outdoor), I know it’s still pretty leafy and airy compared to some of the stuff you guys grow on here, all the other autos I’ve grown before had a really bad bud to leaf ratio.

What time of day do you water your plants? Any effect on terpene preservation?

When do you usually water, early morning, during the day, or in the evening?

I’m also wondering about terpene preservation. Are there any studies looking at whether the time of day you water, or the plant’s hydration level/dryback cycle, has a measurable effect on terpene/trichome production or retention?

Thoughts on doing drybacks during flower?

What are your thoughts on letting the soil dry out completely before the next watering during flower?

I’ve seen some people say that drybacks can make the buds more compact/dense and increase terpene production. Is there actually any truth to that, or is it mostly bro science?

What is wrong with my pepper plant?

Did I overwater it? It's been like this for a month now

For those who have grown Mondo Smash, would you consider it a must grow?

I’ve been thinking about ordering a pack since it was recommended to me a few months ago, but I’d love to hear from people who have actually run it.

How was the bud structure? Pretty dense and compact, or more on the airy side? And how leafy were the buds?

Also curious about the terps, anything that really stood out? And how was the smoke overall?

Is my plant reveging?

It's likerally stuck there since 1 week, I see no progress and since there's new leaves coming out of the buds I was thinking this could be a reveg😪

What do y'all think?

What type of pepper is this?

Normally, pepper plants have smooth, glossy leaves, but this one doesn’t. At first I thought it wasn’t even a chili plant, thought it might be sage or a physalis but now it’s started producing its first fruits.

Do you let your soil dry out completely before you chop?

Hey, I grew 2 autoflowers outside and they turned out pretty good this time.

Now I was wondering if I should let them dry out for like 5 days until chop. I already haven’t given them any water for 2–3 days and when I lift the pot, I can still feel that it has some weight.

I’ve read somewhere that it can make the buds a bit denser and could also produce more resin as a defense mechanism. Others say giving them a good watering before chop is best because you can benefit from a longer dry.

What are your experiences?

First succussful outdoor grow

This time I got 0 budrot and since it's going to be raining in the coming days I decided to chop today.

What do y'all think? In a perfect scenario should they be growing a bit longer or does it look like a perfect timing to chop?

Unfortunately I don't have a microscope so can't really check the trichomes.
