Bowfin or Snakehead?

South eastern Florida. Palm beach county. Inland fresh water canal. 2 large adults with a large fry ball.

I see lots of them regularly as this canal is in my yard and I’m always told they’re not snakehead. That snakehead are rare in PBC. I have a hard time seeing the anal fin without catching them and they do not seem to go after lures while breeding.

Baby permit off florida coast

Pretty sure this is a baby permit. I caught it while fly fishing off a jetty. Maybe it’s a pompano though?

What are the names of these two fishes? I saw them in a market in India.

What are the names of these two fish?

Each one is roughly an 2-3 inch in size, and I came across them in a market in North India.

Chapel Cove in Pictou County, NS, Canada

Couldn't get a closer shot without scaring them away.

Found in late June, morning time and early afternoon. No sign of them in the evening time

Shallow water near the shore with a sandy base. Schools of around 40. Approx 3-4 inches long with a luminous green/yellow pec/pelvic fin.

No other distinguished features (lateral line etc.)

My guess is some form of minnow, likelyusedas bait. Be interested in seeing if they are commercially available. Would like to research and keep some of these cool looking guys

What is this Minnow? Found in a creek that feeds into the Roanoke River (SW Virginia).

Excuse the bad photos, I'm took them on a flip phone through somewhat murky water.

The creek near my house is drying up and if it continues to dry up I want to take a few fish and start an aquarium to keep the bloodline alive. People on the aquarium sub recommended identifying it to give them the best care possible.

I believe them to be Bridle Shiners (Notropis bifrenatus) based on https://efish.fishwild.vt.edu/families/cyprinidae.html Am I right?

Edit: They range from maybe 3cm to 6cm, the one in the photo is probably 45mm long.

Spotted in a slow-moving North Texas river. Longnose gar?

I’m new here and am still learning the local wildlife. Being a northern, I first thought it was a pike but I don’t think northern pike live in warm Texas rivers. It looked to be about 3-4 feet long and it was brownish. So, what is it? Thanks in advance.
