Aside from the obvious sights like the cathedral, the town hall, and a large, famous park... what else is interesting in the area? I look for typical picturesque places known only to locals.
For reference, I like military themes, animals, vegetarian food, videogames and historical architecture. Does anyone know of any heavy metal or rock bars/pubs? Anywhere I can be welcomed with my horrible English pronunciation but good intentions 😄
Are there any areas to avoid? Day or night? I don't want any scares if I go alone.

Is anyone else in Peterborough experiencing a water shortage.
I have a friend who live in the south of Peterborough who recently called me who live in the North of the town asking if I have water because where he living they don't have any water and his neighbours have the same issues no water but where I live I still have water just wondering if anyone else in other part of the town is experiencing the shortage.?
All in the title loads of police some UC cops stopping a bus and searching it then had the bus i was on stopped and searched a bit later anyone know why?
Is anyone else just able to hear their neighbours walking around above? The insulation is awful and I’m considering moving because of it. Is there even any point in raising a complaint for something like that?
Anybody else feel that the vivacity swim lessons are ridiculous? Daughter was in stage 3 for more than a year and is now in stage 4 for 11 months. They dont provide any feedback nor do they mark progress week on week. For some skills the last updated is beginning of May. I feel like they deliberately dont progress due to no spaces in the next stages. On some days the reason is they dont have their device to update or its a different instructor who cant mark progress because they are only filling in.
Has anyone found anywhere that stocks these? 5000-9000 BTU would be enough for the room I need it for. Lidl was a joke this morning, only 1 unit on the shop floor.
My other half is due in a couple of weeks so trying to keep her comfortable is challenging with this heat.

It's basically been sat idle for 5 years. It blows cold air, but it isn't frosty air-con cold. Given that 40C is going to be a more common occurrence these days, there's no time like the present!
