JOB OFFER/APPLICATION

Share ko lang thoughts ko as a newly licensed pharmacist. April 2026 passer here and been applying na since I passed. No oathtaking schedule yet since I don't want to go to Manila (I live in Mindanao) pero idk medyo nalulungkot ako for pharmacists in this economy. I've been offered jobs sa Watsons, Generika, and other hospitals but they're in competition of lowballing pharmacists. 🤣 Watsons offer is ₱22k + ₱2k allowance. Generika's offer is the same. The other hospitals would even offer you ₱15k if it's private.

I applied in Thermo Fisher hoping for a larger salary and 8 days na lumipas, I haven't heard from them so I guess hindi na ako pasok doon.

In this economy and the amount of workload na ipapasa sa'yo is so unfair. If you enter as a community pharmacist, immediate supervisory level ka which means more workload, more paperworks, in short, ikaw LAHAT. For a ₱20k+ compensation, I'd say it's pretty unfair. When the PPHA called for voices para sa bill na taasan ang sweldo, I hope it would also include private sectors :)) grabe sila mang lowball.

Isa pa hirap din pasukan ang government, some hospitals (not naming names) would prefer politics rather than your qualification. No backer? No job offer which is a really sad reality.

If abroad, you'll have to go through an exhausting process of getting the requiremens that it'll cost you with an estimation of ₱500k and higher (this includes your master's programs or PhD). Ang hirap maging pharmacist sa Pinas.

But I'm not saying this to discourage anyone ha, this is just the reality of the many. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Beware of this company

Beware of this company, One That Love Trading (OTLT Pharma), formerly located at Ezekiel St., Santa Barbara Villas 2 Phase 2C, San Mateo, Rizal, and now transferred to Blk 16 Lot 21 Phase 2, Lemongrove St., Mambog 3, Bacoor, Cavite. The owner, Cathy Cayabyab, and the general manager, Manuel Mahusay, are allegedly scammers, which is why they are always hiding. Be careful when dealing or transacting with them.

LTO Initial Application - How long?

Hello! We applied thru FDAs website for LTO application nung last April pa pero until now wala pa din reply from FDA. Hit me with a harsh reality, ganito po ba talaga sila katagal? 😔 We are only applying as medical supply store not even as a Pharmacy but didnt expect ganito sila katagal.

Also, tama ba ginagawa namin na dapat sa website or should we hire someone to apply for us to speed up the process? Not under the table type pero yung may alam lang sa processing and processing of whatever documents.

TIA guys!

Thermo fisher - Drug Safety Specialist

Hi! I’d like to ask the people here who work at Thermo Fisher as a Drug Safety Specialist. How’s the work environment and workload? I’m applying for the job but want to know your insights since its remote work (I’ve been really inclined to try remote work due to me realizing that traveling for duty is really not for me). Pwede po ba mag pa refer? kasi may nababasa ako mas napapansin daw if may referral? (Currently, Head of QA/Regulatory Affairs Officer but I’m dreading the work environment 🤧)

REALITIES OF HOUSE BILL NO. 8891

Hey everyone, regulatory pharmacist here.

By now, I’m sure most of you have seen House Bill No. 8891 making waves sa FB and other socmed. For those who haven’t, it’s the proposed law aiming to upgrade entry-level government pharmacists from Salary Grade 11 to Salary Grade 15. but, can we look on the other side of it especially on economic reality or sustainable ba to in the long run?

to be honest, Entry-level SG 11 is already a massive jump ahead of the private sector. isama mo pa ang Magna Carta benefits (25% hazard pay, longevity pay, laundry and subsistence allowances), plus guaranteed 13th/14th-month bonuses, and so gov pharmacist is easily walking away with a total package equivalent to ₱40k+ (well based on papers ito yun)
perooo your average junior pharmacist in a private community drugstore or local manufacturing plant is lucky to clear ₱20,000 to ₱25,000.

sooo if ever mag lapsed into law ito, every single peso used to fund that public salary hike is extracted directly from private businesses and corporate workers via corporate taxes, VAT, and heavy regulatory fees. tapos ang mga private MSME drugstores and distributors na maliit ang margin of profit will either have to spike medicine prices or face bankruptcy trying to match those gov-subsidized wages.

ang question ko din is ....does a higher salary grade automatically equal better competency? well depende! if the government wants to mandate higher wages, wag niyo gatasan ang private sector or even tax payer. Lower the cost of compliance for doing business para yung ibayad sa pesting permit na yan, pweding ipang sahod sa pharmacist. And more importantly, they need to crack down on the toxic "ghost pharmacist" culture where people rent out their licenses for cheap retainers, completely lowballing the profession and cementing the expectation that our fees should be dirt cheap.

Let me know your insights on this house bill

I’m from Mindoro and am planning to work in Iloilo and do remote studying in a school in Cebu.

Hello! I am currently a hospital pharmacist in a Level 1 hospital here in our province. I’ll be moving to Iloilo next year and will pursue the PharmD program in USC via their flexible learning mode.

As someone who grew up in a Tagalog region and household, I’m worried na baka mahirapan ako makahanap ng work sa Iloilo as a hospital pharmacist at lalo na sa community. In addition to that, yung planned schooling ko sa Cebu adds to my worries haha. Language barrier thingzz.

Sa mga may experience po dito, kamusta po yung adjustments and coping up sa bagong lenggwahe sa Visayas in terms of working snd studying sa mga nabanggit kong areas? TYIA!!

25k monthly salary

Hi! Would like to ask lang po if 25k monthly salary is enough for my role as a Regulatory Affairs Pharmacist? I'm currently working in a Drug and Medical Device Distributor Company and also a franchisor of drugstores, although hindi gamit ang license ko, pero sole pharmacist lang po ako na nagpprocess ng LTO and regulatory docs sa distributor company and sa mga franchise drugstores (25 overall).

Tasks:

  1. Processing of LTO application for the distributor (Drug and Medical device) and renewal

  2. Processing of LTO application, including renewal, to franchisee drugstores and assisting during FDA Inspections

  3. EDPMS compliance to distributor

  4. Monthly conduct of trainings/ seminars to franchisee drugstores

  5. Quarterly warehouse audit

  6. Compiles suppliers requirements, such as LTO, CPR'S, Distributorship agreement, etc.

  7. Creating RMP's, SOP's, Certificate of Initial Capitalization, and other templates needed for FDA Requirements (both in the distributor and franchisee drugstores).

  8. Attends trainings (FDA, DSAP, etc.) pero may bond po ako here since Company ang nagbabayad.

  9. Include ko na rin po here yung training ko for NC3. I need to have training din daw po ng NC3 so that maituro ko rin sa mga franchisees namin. Pero the company said na bibigyan ako ng bond here since sila ang magppay for my training.

Is 25k enough po kaya for these roles? Or should I demand ng higher? Also, ask ko na rin po ang thoughts ninyo regarding the bonds mentioned. Thank you po!

clarification lang po about generic and brand name

Dispensing Sari- sari stores☹️

Solo pharma na newly licensed for botika work, keri ba?

I need someone's input about this job offer 😭 I submitted my resume and got a short phone call kasi.

Basically ako lang daw magiging pharmacist sa TGP branch na yun if ever, then 1 PA raw. Kaso iniisip ko yung magiging responsibilities ko as the pharmacist, hindi naman fully naturo sakin sa internship kung pano humawak ng botika aside from dispensing, patient counselling, and inventory 😭 What I mean is pano yung ibang paperworks and documents? Walang magtuturo sakin if ever, worth ba i-risk toh as my first job hahahah

Also halos walking distance lang sya sa bahay namin so nag cocontemplate talaga ko 😭 di ko rin natanong hm sweldo hahaha
