How to ask my doctor for a weight loss pill.
I have gained weight this past year about 50 pounds out of nowhere and I’ve always weighed around 160 back in 2024 and now I’m 210. If I ask can he just prescribe me one or how would I go about it. I’ve tried dieting, fasting, light exercise. I think I gained so much bc of depression I suffered with after a break up along with hormonal issues since I’m 43 and have had so many changes with my body. Can u help me out?

Potentially might start taking this combo…but upon reviewing comments, it’s seems like most people have only lost significant weight (beyond typical diet and exercise) because their appetites are so suppressed they’re barely at 1000cal/day if that.

Any experiences out there with taking this drug combo and still being able to get in 1500-1700cal/day and still lose meaningful weight? Im currently doing 5 HIIT workout classes/week (just started up about a month ago) and Im concerned that it going to be hard for me to maintain adequate protein/nutrition that’s adequate enough to maintain muscle growth.

Curious if folks just forget to eat, don’t think about food or actively feel full, or all of these above?

I’m currently on month 2 of phentermine & will have 1 more month till I stop. My doc mentioned Qsymia as the next step. I know Qsymia contains phentermine but curious if anyone else has done this & what differences they noticed. Thanks!

I’ve been weening myself off of my Topiramate for a few weeks after stopping my Phentermine cold turkey, and I’ve been having heavy breakthrough bleeding even when taking the active pills of my birth control. Has anyone else experienced this? I know Phentermine/Topiramate can affect birth control while on it, but I haven’t been able to find anything about when stopping.

I wish I could remember the phentermine dose I took in the early 90s (Dr. prescribed). My energy was through the roof! I lost about 50 lbs and craved nothing but shopping. Lol. Good times.

I was in my 20s. Now I'm in my 50s, menopausal, and fat again. Started the toperimate/phentermine combo at 25 mg phentermine and lost about 25 lbs in 6 months. Terrific! It has since halted for about 4 months. Now the Dr is upping my phentermine to 30 mg starting tomorrow.

The weird thing is, I have no energy on this phentermine. I did lose weight, yes, but I'm not even sure the meds helped. I also went through some pretty huge stresses and extra challenging work times so wasn't eating much. Curious if anyone recalls what dosages they were prescribing us in the fen/phen days of the phen? I did feel happier back then! The energy was so nice. I am secretly hoping the 30 mg I try tomorrow morning will do something. I still want to lose another 30 lbs.

Hello! I just got prescribed Phentermine, but I'm also prescribed 4 anti depressants (vraylar, wellbutrin, citalopram and klonopin) I'm worried about the side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this?
