As a certified noob who just escaped the hell of being hard stuck in SOAF 1, I'm gonna try to start a series where I will give suggestion on how to fix unbalanced phobies ✨️

Today we are gonna take a look at Cluck Norris! As much as I love this phobie, even I gotta admit that is just HOT GARBAGE, and I wanna change that ❤️‍🩹 and I actually think it's really simple

In my oppinion, fixing Cluck Norris dosen't mean buffing ANY of this stats. The factor that would make this phobie good forever and allowing it to finally be balanced is the ability turn usage! By that, I mean his ability should NOT count as a move/turn whatsoever so can power up, advance AND attack in the same turn. That would make him finally playable and worthy of being a 6 key ultra rare! 🔥

How I said, I don't think buffing his health or damage would really do much, and I don't think we should be touching his ability either. So basically make his ability not count as a turn/move. Example: You use your ability to gain the buff, but you STILL have 2 turns to work with, so you can actually do something. I think this would make Cluck Norris really good but not broken, which is exactly what I'm looking for! 👀✨️ (with this buff, Cluck Norris can MAYBE get a 200 health nerf IF it's too good, but still, with this change I think Cluck Norris would be much easier to balance)

Slammer Head stomps onto the grid as a position bully. It doesn't annoy the opponent with debuffs, poisons or other passive abilities, Instead, it relies on an absolute brick-wall frame, using raw physical force to alter the position of any target that dares stand in its path ✨️

Slammer Head embodies:

Ichthyophobia & Carcharodontophobia: The deep-seated, instinctual terror of sharks and ancient marine creatures.

Traumatophobia: The physical dread of blunt-force trauma and having your skull fractured, which is the exact sensation its massive mallet-head design promises.

Its anatomy is a direct adaptation of the real-world Hammerhead Shark. Its ability name, "Play Smashface," perfectly matches its simple-minded personality. It doesn't scheme, its idea of a fun game is to literally smash its face directly into yours until something breaks, in this case being the positioning that breaks ✨️

Slammer Head looks like an ancient, mutated land-shark. It features a hunched, reptilian body sporting a vibrant, slime-cyan upper skull contrasted against a deep magenta torso. Instead of a normal face, its entire head is elongated into a giant, solid, horn-tipped hammer structure. Two massive, round, unblinking blue eyes protrude from the sides of its mallet head. To top it all off, a row of sharp, golden teeth jut awkwardly out of its jaw, giving it a perpetually angry, predatory snarl. (People call this design ugly, but I find it rather good, the coloring is nice) ❤️‍🩹

Stats:

Key Cost: 4

Race: Monster (No upsides, no downsides)

Movement: 2 Tiles (Ground / Walking)

Health: A whopping 1800 Health

Attack Range: 1 Tile (melee)

Attack Damage: 350

Special Ability ("Play Smashface"): A targeted melee strike that deals 350 damage and pushes the enemy phobie 1 tile away

Slammer Head’s shoving mechanic is a nightmare to face on maps with lots of abysses. Position him next to an enemy tank and use "Play Smashface" to launch them directly into an abyss, buying yourself a great key trade and value! ❤️

With a massive 1800 HP pool, Slammer Head is a supreme frontline defender. If an enemy is holding a crucial Panic Point, don't just hit them, use your ability to punch them off, letting your other phobies walk in and steal it, or straight up recapture it with Slammer Head instead, bodyblocking the said pushed phobie if their damage can't match Slammer's health ✨️

Use his knockback ability defensively to push high-damage enemy brawlers away from your fragile rangers, keeping your glass cannons safe while bursting the attacker down for a safe defense. This is in case they even can get past since Slammer head makes for a great tank.💕

Moving 2 tiles on the ground with only a 1-tile melee attack range means Slammer Head can get dismantled on wide-open maps. If you march him carelessly across open fields, agile ranged units will kite him into oblivion before he can ever play smashface. This can be said for all melee phobies.👀

While 1800 HP is great, he can easily get shut down by freeze, stun, or high poison stacks. Don't let him wander too far from a supportive friendly healer.

Also, while dueling head-on with Slammer, don't think he will outpreform phobies like Baby Snakey which are specialized on that kind of situation. Use Slammer Head only for position sabotaje and tanking💞

8Slammer Head is a great, high-impact midgame tank. His high health pool makes him a fantastic meat-shield, but his real value lies in the tactical game-change potential of his knockback ability. If you love Finnigan, there is a big chance you'll love this grown up version of him 💖
