i moved into pilsen into a pretty small apartment, just have some extra stuff that really won’t fit. anyone have recommendations for a nearby storage unit? just looking for good price with ideally some level of temp control

I have a semi big party I wanna bring to watch the big game against England? Any suggestions guys? Or any recommendations in downtown area would be cool too. Hard to find info right now since they just rescheduled the game to 1pm Sunday

Guys I need some help! I can’t find my Mexico jersey anywhere for Sunday’s game. Does anyone know of any stores, small businesses, and/or vendors selling Mexico merch for the World Cup that I can purchase?

I've been thinking about moving to Pilsen since rent keeps creeping up where I am. I've heard everything from it's a great value to you'll need a car for everything, so I'm not really sure what to expect. I've been checking out a few apartments there and I even looked a couple up on streetsmart after seeing some mixed reviews about the management.

For anyone living there now, what's been the biggest upside and biggest downside?

Living on w 18th, and unfortunately, astound which I previously used is no coverage here... wondering what people use, how much you pay, and how much you like it. Thanks!

We just moved into the city from Kentucky. We have 1 TV that need to be mounted into drywall and it is ~80in. We spent a lot on movers, looking for someone to do it for cheap. Anyone looking for charity work?

You have a right to be really unhappy with his keeping the streets filthy, blocking all construction, which leads to soaring rent, blocking compassionate outreach to the plaza homeless, creating drama at every chance he gets, and doing absolutely nothing for the community.

Remember, he is the one who joined a flag burning and got within inches of Gov. Pritzker's face to scream at him, on Veteran's Day no less, all for publicity.

You and I are the normal, hard working, quiet, law-abiding renter. We have rights, too!

Hey y’all! I found a cute AirBnB in your neighborhood, and I’d love your thoughts about whether this is a good fit. I’m bringing my family and I want to visit the Field Museum. We will be driving in, so will need parking. We will probably also have a dog with us, so that means dog walks, etc. What do you all think? Any opinions, hints, warnings, or welcomes would be great.

I made the mistake of giving this place my money 3x. I have never received my artwork back. My first experience was years ago and I thought since they changed locations and were under new management things have changed. Boy I was wrong!

I did 2 classes in 1 week in October because it was cheap and I had wanted to do one class with a friend and another for a date night. The teacher was great! The pick up process, that I paid close attention to, was awful... I was being lied to, they were giving confusing instructions, and I was ghosted for a third time.

They encourage good reviews at the end of the class to give the teacher a bonus which I did because he was great! But now they have way more positive reviews than they deserve. I should have known when people were walking in complaining during my class that nothing has changed. But it was new management and I was hopeful.

Now everyday I have to walk by this damn shop and stop myself from defacing the window. It's not even about the money. It about the treatment afterwards.

The owner is a complete and total tool in all the Google reviews. I would love to speak with him in person one day.

Hi! i'm a incoming UIC student who is living in pilsen area looking for a job in the area! i'm open to anything with decent pay, but have experience in Food service (3 years barista and FOH) and would love to work as a server or somthing of the sort.
