I lived in University Village for almost 16 years in a unit hanging over the tracks in one of those cream-colored concrete buildings between Morgan and Peoria. Now I live on the corner of Halsted and 16th. I feel like fireworks were (for a long time) a fairly regular occurrence in Pilsen, but it feels like I've barely heard or seen any over the last 2-3 years...aside from the 4th of July?

Am I crazy, or have the number of fireworks throughout the summer decreased (I realize it's still early in the season)

We’d like to go dancing at an electronic music club or an electronic music venue (any kind will do).

Are there any clubs in Pilsen that play electronic music all the time, or do you know of any events happening this Friday, May 22?

anybody know what happened to cause the small group of people to come out on 18th PL? I was walking by and I saw them as well as a car leave and a cop (possibly) follow? I have chismosavirus and need to know and when I asked someone brushed me off 💀

Anyone know what that REALLY loud explosion sound was at about 8:10pm today? I’ve lived here (near Damen and Cermak) for 6 years and have NEVER heard a sound that loud before. Definitely not fireworks or gunshots.

Moving to Pilsen area at the end of the month.

Was looking into Pilsen Gym. Seeing mixed reviews on treatment of goers.

I am hoping for a place that has ample barbell racks for basic lifts.

Also do not have a car.

If not Pilsen Gym, any other recs?

I heard that somebody took 8 slugs in broad daylight near Cullerton and Leavitt over the weekend. Anybody know more? There's been a media blackout over it.
