Hi, I've had 3 dream air's due to a different problem on the previous two (they were the LH versions of the headset). I've now got the SLAM version. I actually noticed this issue I currently have in all 3 I've had so far so it suggests a meeting problem but still, I'd love to fix it.

I'm having an issue with the left display. It feels like the display is maybe rotated the wrong way 🤷‍♂️ when I only have my left eye open the display is sharp and same for the right display. However, when I've both eyes open I think it's a bit off as I can feel my left eye straining. Then when I remove the headset, that eye has issues focussing/sewing straight for a good few seconds.

I've played with the ipd and individual eye ipd with no joy (hence me thinking it's maybe the rotation/angle needs to be different for my head shape? I've tried moving the headset around with no luck too.

For some reason I can no longer get the sboys3 driver to work either as that may be able to help me. I have pimax Evo set to open ports. At this point it's working fine but as soon as I open the sboys3 driver steamvr sometimes has an issue picking up the headset and even when it does, the displays are just black. I can't bring up a menu etc. I literally have to uninstall pimax Evo then reinstall it.

Any thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated. I absolutely love this headset but I can't use it for more than around 40 mins and I'm worried about damaging my eyesight

Try out sboys but use the ultrawide distortion profile and make sure to run openxr (I did not have success in openVR) Try these settings (be sure to also calibrate your contrast/gamma)

I was pretty impressed enough that if it wasn't for the weight of the 50ppd, I wouldn't mind using it in iRacing to gain the extra fov now since it seems like a new panel with sboys.

Hello! I just got my Crystal Light and I'm honestly so happy, I come from the Quest 3 and those gave me so much trouble, it was insane. These? I do need to tinker a bit but overall first experience has been INSANE

My specs: 5070ti, 5800x3d, 64gb Ram

I have a series of questions I wanted to ask you guys:

1)I feel like I'm not totally nailing the IPD thing. Do I need to go to an optometrist to have it checked? Or to the optics shop where I get my glasses?

2. Playing IL-2 (only game I was able to try at the moment) I notice subtle vertical scan lines on screen, is this normal? If it's a limitation of the glasses, I can live with it, but I want to know if it's so or if it's something that I can fix

3)I notice some slight blurryness in the distance, and when I zoom in it goes away. Which setting would fix this? Or it is just a VR limitation?

4)What overall settings would you guys recommend me? I'm using 90hz and NIS Quality. Regarding other settings, I have no idea what else to tinker. Any suggestions?

5)How do you clean up the Headset? Can you clean the plastic surfaces with alcohol wipes?

Lastly, how do you guys store your Headsets?

Hey all. Got a seemingly serious issue with my crystal light. Last night when I went to play MSFS, only one eye (the right) was working, the left displayed some fuzzy lines. Then I tired to reset it, and the screen was blank ever since. Pimax play app says screen off. LED on the unit is blue, it still tracks and is connected but the screen remains off. I’m using a 7900xtx, latest software. Have tried a reinstall of AMD adrenaline and pimax play, but I’m at a loss with figuring it out. Randomly when I turned it on this morning I had the lobby screen, it worked momentarily, but now it’s back to blank.
Ive opened a ticket, but want to know if there’s any one out there with any suggestions with what could be the cause? Been dealing with a lot of hot weather here, but I’m thinking that’s an unlikely influence ? Thanks in advance to any suggestions….

I am running a Pimax Crystal Light with an RTX 5080 gpu., playing iRacing.

I have been moatly happy with it, apart from some occasional small frame drops.

I am thinking of upgrading to the Pimax Dream Air, because it's smaller and seems to have some better performance.

I have been watching countless materials and reviews, but still can't decide.

My main question is: is the Dream Air more demanding than the Crystal Light? I think so because of its slightly smaller FOV.

If anyone had a similar experience or can offee some insight I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'm trying to get SBOYS3 working with my Pimax Crystal Super using Pimax Play EVO, but so far I haven't been able to make it work. I'm hoping someone here who has successfully set it up can help me figure out what I'm missing.

This is what I did:

1. Installed Pimax Play EVO.

2. Downloaded and installed SBOYS3.

3. In Pimax Play EVO, I enabled Developer Mode.

4. I enabled the required function/option inside Developer Mode.

5. I pointed Pimax Play EVO to the SBOYS3 executable.

However, when I try to use it, my Pimax Crystal Super display remains completely black. The headset seems to be running, but I get no image at all inside the headset.

I'm not sure if I'm missing an additional step, if there's a specific order in which Pimax Play EVO and SBOYS3 need to be launched, or if there's another setting that needs to be changed.

Has anyone here successfully used SBOYS3 with Pimax Play EVO and a Crystal Super?

If so, could you please share the correct setup procedure or screenshots of your configuration?

I'd especially like to know:

- Which executable should be selected in Pimax Play EVO?

- Is there a specific launch order?

- Are any additional Developer Mode options required?

- Does anything need to be changed in OpenXR?

- Is there any additional software or runtime required?

- Has anyone else experienced the same black-screen issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've tried following the setup procedure, but I can't get any image in the headset.

I want the pimax super but I don't know how it will preform in a game like saint and sinners or boneworks, with the tracking.

Is there anyway virtual desktop coming to dream air. VD beta that support wired connection just came out for quest3. If we have similar to this happening to dream air and virtual desktop support it, will solve alot of issues with app compatibility and make dream air much easier and faster to use for all games.

Since 2 updates ago, I'm getting a badly flickering PimaxPlay UI window. Sometimes it flickers badly, other times the graphics on it get kinda 'stuck'. It helps if I maximise the screen but still not great.

Anyone else experienced this?
