Hey all, I have a PCL which I use exclusively for MSFS2024. I love it, no doubt it will serve me for years to come…

Recently (I think since the last update) I’ve been having these seemingly random shutdowns whilst playing. The screen suddenly shuts off, the led will be red but looking at my monitor it’s still connected and tracking. It usually comes back almost immediately. But yeah it’s been driving me crazy and I don’t even know where to start with addressing the problem.

I’ve already opened a ticket with support, just wanted to get on top of it here and see if anyone else has experienced this and/or has any advice to offer ….

just recieved a follow up email from pimax. ordered on the 28th April 2026,

I received my Dream Air on 7th April. Today it died.

Since day 1 I had connection issues - which I assumed were base station related, because once the headset found them it was solid.

However as time has gone on, its been increasingly difficult for the headset to find the base stations.

My cable has always got hot - It's subjective, but I would say hot rather than warm.

3 weeks ago I contacted Pimax and they asked for logs - I didn't hear anything specific back other than they would send me a new cable. Two and a bit weeks later the cable has not been sent.

Yesterday I started getting grey screens while gaming.

Today the headset died.

There's alot of play where the stem meets the headset. I'm not convinced a new cable and stems will fix the issue.

I'm really not convinced about this design for long term use either. Every time you put the headset on, you'll be putting tension on this connection.

This is my 5th generation Pimax headset - ive had them all.

Sad times.

So over Christmas I was gifted a crystal super. I used it a ton the first couple of weeks and it was just kinda ok. Well fast forward to today and it turns out the individual who gifted it to me bought the prime version and I have to pay like 900 more for the thing to even work. So is there any way I could sell a bricked headset on eBay? If so what could I even get out of it? I already contacted pimax support and they said they would not accept a return.

Hey everyone, just got a PCL about 4 days ago. Spent a few days tweaking settings to get a good experience out of the the until. The clarity is really nice when you get the headset just right. However I cannot see myself keeping this if I cannot get the headtracking to corporate. Its seems random at times but in iracing and dirt 2.0 there is some serious floaty/laggy experiences between where my head is and what im seeing in VR. After looking through the tutorials pimax suggests a 12th gen or new cpu. Do I need to just accept my 10600k is not cutting it or is there more to this? I've noticed high cpu usage on pisever sometimes up to 20% or more. I've tried Lasso to restrict the cores and priority but not luck. Im addition I've readjusted lighting ans tried the black tape. Any feedback would be really appreciated. 😀
