Delusional Crafting Project

Hi all - came to Pishlander because I'm scared of the Outlander sub.

I'm attempting to make embroidery a true hobby - I've done projects for friends and I'd like to try and make a book cover for Outlander.

Crowd sourcing what some folks might think are good designs? I'm thinking botanical; maybe the stones and plants on the front and a sword and boat on the back to hint at the 2nd book?

Plants: forget-me-nots, barley, heather, borage, coltsfoot, dittany, lavender...these all seem to be plants mentioned / would have been important to Claire's physicking.

TIA!

forrest gump & outlander - same house?

the house used in forrest gump & the one on Jocasta’s property looks awful similar in this shot.

i doubt it’s the same house, nor have i gone back to either media source to verify, but from this angle it looks like the same house

Any fans of Silo also a fan of Outlander?

I just watched the first episode of Season 3 of Silo and the actors for Lionel Brown and Robert Cameron are in the episode.

Not enough screen time for the Robert Cameron actor to tell anything about his character on Silo but the Lionel Brown actor was definitely very irritating and slimy.

Both actors will be very interesting to watch this season!

And YAY! New show to watch waiting for 2nd season of BOMB.

Looking for TV Series Like “Outlander”

Just finished a rewatch, currently watching Blood of My Blood, and looking for series recommendations, particularly romance period/historical dramas!!

I know absolutely no one compares to Jamie Fraser, but I’m looking for that loyal, passionate, soulmate love!
A Discovery of Witches is on my list, however isn’t 100% the vibe I’m looking for.

Also, I see a lot of people recommending Poldark, but I personally can’t get behind what seems to be a crap ton of disloyalty, temptations and being tempted, and the cheating.

Sooo…
Looking for romance series, any type but particularly period/historical dramas, with a loyal, passionate, soulmate love, and with a Jamie Fraser-esque man.

Thank you in advance!!

Outlander published by Suntup Editions

Just wondering how many people were familiar with the illustrated publication of Outlander by Suntup Press. Beautiful books and illustrations!

Caitriona Balfe in Sense & Sensibility 😍

Who else is excited to see Cait in period costumes again but now as Mrs Dashwood?! 😍

Someone pointed out the resemblance of Elinor (Daisy’s character) to season 1 Clare and I couldn’t agree more! 🥹

Sam Heughan looks different!

I discovered Outlander last month.
Finished the show and currently reading the books.
I just saw this Season 8 promo clip on instagram and couldn't help but notice how Sam Heughan looks so different a year ago! This clip was posted May 2025.
Second pic was posted this month on his instagram.

The first pic looks like a difterent person. I've seen pics of his younger self that looked more him. Is it the facial hair? Or is it just me? 😅

Trying to make the first Fraser's Ridge Cabin in Minecraft

Hi, I would like to build Jamie and Claire's first little cabin from Season 4 in Minecraft. Does anyone have any floorplans or good pictures of it I can use as reference?

Thanks!
