If Platinum Legacy is ever made how mcuh would you expand the Sinnoh Regional Dex?

I know there's currently no plans for a Platinum Legacy but since I've seen others talk hypothetical I'd go with a subject I haven't seen much of. While Platinum has a pretty solid regional dex in terms of both size and type distribution, already something I don't see people not is if Platinum legacy stuck to the trend of every Legacy game thus far has made the ENTIRE Pokedex catchable within the Post-Game, which would mean over half of all Pokemon would be stuck to the post-game if this remained making catching everything feel extremly tedious. Obviously, you don't want to bloat a regional dex and make things too imbalanced, but I feel at least half of the species should be obtainable before the credits roll.. As such, I feel adding roughly 40 species to make a dex total of approximitly to the main story would benefit the game greatly, assuming Legacy wants to continue to make Dex Completion possible with a single game. In the end I added 42 species I would add to the Sinnoh Dex, making for 252/493 Pokemon species (or rather 244 species, given Dialga, Palkia, and the unpicked starters will be locked to the postgame).

Every pokemon I listed was for one of four reasons: they were either Pokemon that were in the Hissui dex, meaning they canonically were/are Sinnoh native, they're lesser Gen IV legendaries and mythicals who could be moved up to pre-Hall of Fame without affecting game balance too drastically, they were Pokemon with next to no regional dex distribution after their debut or they are Pokemon that would fit the Sinnoh Region thematically for one reason or another. Let me know if you agree or disagree with any of my picks.

[Bug] If you use the menu while Weebra is moving after beating her, she goes a little crazy.

Pretty funny discovery. Not sure if this was triggered by saving or entering the Pokemon menu and swapping my lead. She disappeared after a minute or so and was not invisibly in the spot she's supposed to go to. She did not reappear after a Pokemon battle, I had to switch floors to respawn her.

Ludicolo appreciation post

Ludicolo is the glue guy of my team. He has been in the 4 boss matches(all are in silver match so far) in the battle frontier. He’s very clutch. I just love the green guy.

Note: I’m running no legendary in my line up. Just pseudos and fossil Pokémon.

There are also some heartbreaks but I love the battle frontier so far.

Just realized that in Crystal Legacy, they added a shiny indicator to unhatched eggs. What do you think about this feature?

I think it's a cool idea, but also a bit bummed out that it takes some of the excitement out of actually seeing the shiny pop out of the egg and being surprised about it. Now, you get all the excitement when you get the egg.

For anyone wondering where I got these shinies...

- Exxeggcute was a full odds encounter from headbutting a tree

- Bulbasaur was bred using Exxeggcute's shiny genes (Exxeggcute -> Bulbasaur)

- Aerodactyl was bred using the red Gyarados' genes (Gyarados -> Ekans -> Farfetch'd -> Aerodactyl)

Help with finding this Pokemon please

This is the National Dex, and I'm trying to find Pokemon number 201...

Please help 🫠

Ps: it's not Wynaut (who's number 360).

Decided to use some of the less popular pokemon in a yellow legacy run through, nice to give them a chance

Jolteon is actually quite good with the right move set

Team Building - Advice

I’m trying not to use any mons’ that appear in top 6 and more underused. I think out of all maybe Jynx or Parasect there’s a case to be made there more common.

Either way just looking to see if this is reasonable for a fun casual playthrough.

Having some trouble

So I got it working on my flash cart (EZ omega DE), it's definitely WORKING as it prompted me to choose difficulty but it never gave me an option to choose dex mode. I wanted to play this in national dex mode

Whole team is swept by a houndoom with solar beam, crunch, flamethrower, and sunny day…or a crowbat with gigadrain wipes my swampy boy.

Pokemon Core Crystal - Updates (v2.1.1)

Hey everyone! Last time I posted about Core Crystal there was an understandable complaint about the removal of the running shoes. I'm happy to announce that the running shoes are now available, along with some additional fun features!

Core Crystal is a ROM hack inspired by and built off of Crystal Legacy. Initially, it was just a personal project to tweak Crystal Legacy to my own preferences, but developed to a point that I think it stands on its own and might be enjoyed by others!

Here are some of the key differences from Crystal Legacy:

  1. It breaks compatibility with Pokemon Stadium.
  2. The Fairy type has been added as SPECIAL.
  3. The option to add Scaling Stat Exp to trainer battles in any difficulty mode.
  4. HMs no longer need to be taught.
  5. An "Easy" mode has been added. With Re-usable TMs.
  6. The option to use the Kanto starters.
  7. The Pokedex has been slightly updated to include more Johto original evolutions.
  8. Built in "Elemental Exchange." New game options to play with "Faithful", "Updated", or "Extreme" pokemon typings.
  9. "Evening" has been added as a time of day.
  10. Fishing is available while surfing.
  11. Running shoes at a middle speed (These are missable - Talk to your Mom!)
  12. Addition of a Shiny Ball.
  13. Optional Battles added with Giovanni, Lorelei, and Agatha.
  14. Additional tweaks and QoL changes.

How do I catch the Gen 1 fossil Pokemon in Emerald Legacy?

I know part of Legacy is being able to catch every Pokemon without trades or cheats, so how do I get Omanyte, Kabuto, and Aerodactyl? I'm trying to do an all-rock run and those would be really helpful.

When people ask why I play romhacks...

This is Emerald Legacy Enhanced btw. Exclsior added following for the first pokemon in your party and since starting almost 200 hours ago I've been going crazy with screenshots! I love seeing my little homies--and sometimes very big homies--walking with me. It brings me so much joy. Thank you again to the original crew on Legacy and to Exclsior and all the other devs that worked on their individual features that he compiled. <3

Traded Jynx soft-lock Battle?

I'm not sure if I'm using the latest version, but when I go into battle with the Jynx you get from the Saffron trade, and use a move, the game just locks up. I googled and saw a 2 year old post that this could happen with traded mons. Is there a newer version or patch that could fix this or am I screwed?

Also, are the Attack and HP DV's still swapped in the stat screen? It was mentioned in the same post. Can I use PKhex to fix that, since I spent a LOT of time hunting good Dv's...
