Can any of Ash's previous teams defeat the Alola League?

He has the best combination of Pokémon for the teams that have more than 6 members, as for what is the best combination for these teams, well you can decide that.

Also Ash and his Pokémon are at their consistent absolute best.

Round 1: it's the Ash and his teams straight up out of that moment in the series, so for example for his Kanto team his Pikachu is as strong as it was at the end of the Kanto series, and Ash is as skilled and experienced as he was there, and same goes for all others.

Round 2: It's Alola Ash in terms of skill and experience and his Pokémon are as strong as they were at this point in the story.

Round 3: round 1 but with Z-Moves (and arguably gimmicks in general)

Round 4: round 2 but with Z-Moves (and arguably gimmicks in general)

How well can they do?

Team MZ vs Team Galaxy vs Team Scarlet and Violet vs Team Sword and Shield. Who has the strongest team/trainers?

So in most of the Switch era games we've had three main rivals/companions who are all strong trainers.

We're also counting them having access to their own gimmicks.

Only Team MZ can use Mega Evolution

Only Team Galaxy can use different fighting styles

Only Team SV can Terastallize their Pokemon

Only Team SW/SH can Dynamax

Red/Ash Battle Royale

I thought about this wild idea that I had, that being, who would win in a battle royale between all of the main variants of Red and Ash? And well here they are:

OG Red: RGBY/GSC/Stadium 2

Red from the Pocket Monsters manga

Red from the Pokémon Adventures manga

Pokémon Trainer: Stadium 1/Stadium 2

Ash Ketchum from the anime

Ash Ketchum from The Electric Tale of Pikachu manga

Ash Ketchum from the Ash & Pikachu manga

Fire Red: FRLG/HGSS/B2W2/SM/USUM

Red from Origins

Red from generations

Ash Ketchum from the late movies timeline (I choose you, the power of us and secrets of the jungle)

And Red from LGPLGE

All of them are at their absolute best, also for any version that I didn't include it's because I either don't know em yet, don't find them particularly relevant, are just a part of any of these versions or it's because they're rather complicated to handle (like Masters Ex which I think fits more as a part of the already existing versions of the characters instead of being something completely different)

So yeah. Where would you rank them from weakest to strongest and why?

Pokémon Company imput on which Pokémon is the strongest in 2002

In 2002 at the official Pokémon website, replying to a mail made by a fan here is their response for which Pokémon is the strongest

>Who is the most powerful Pokémon of all? Is it Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Entei, or Celebi?

>The most powerful Pokémon of all is the one you believe in. You can make Psyduck or Phanphy or Jigglypuff the most powerful Pokémon ever – all you have to do is train it and support it.

>But if you’re talking about plain HP power, then there are a variety of Pokémon with high hit points, and not all of them are legendary. Entei ranks high on the HP list, but so does Wigglytuff, Wobuffet, and Vaporeon. For Attacks and Special Attacks, Ho-Oh, Dragonite, and Moltres are all high. But remember that HP and Attack/Special Attack are not the total sum of a Pokémon® character’s power!

What do you think of that?

Personally I agree, even tho it's an old interview we can see that in old and new media

- Delibird vs Ho-Oh (manga)
- Pikachu vs Tapu Koko (anime)
- The Ancient Hero vs Arceus (games)

If we look at the franchise with powerscalling lenses this can be thrown straight out of the window, but when we analyse the franchise as a piece of fiction it does make sense, the whole point of the franchise since the beginning was about catching, trading, and battling, the whole meaning of the word Pokémon is Pocket Monsters, Monsters that you carry around in your pocket, as friends, partners and teammates, not gods or deities, at least in regard of power
