Is there anywhere to buy just sections of fence. Or anywhere to get a few sections made. I would like to extend my front. Go from square to the rounded front end. Just for the extra room.
I know it’s not much to go on, but any Harris boat enthusiasts who may be able to identify the approximate year of this pontoon boat? It’s a FloteBote Sunliner 200 with a Mercury 75 hp outboard. Thanks.
Good evening all. With the season here I am looking for a super easy cover to use ok my 22.5’ pontoon. The factory one is a pain and it causes me to be lazy and put it on.
Is there super easy elastic or something cover that doesn’t take 20 mins to put on?
My wife and I recently purchased a '95 Crest 22' pontoon, with a '95 - 40HP Johnson outboard. Compression testing was fine, with new battery, new seats, a solid deck and nearly flawless toons. we paid 8K to bring it home. Finally got a full free weekend to change fluids, and do a proper test of the outboard. Plugs are good, boots, ignition coil, ignition and even the safety switches are good. We cannot get it to spark. My over the phone diagnostic with a mechanic got priced at a $2k repair. A shop nearby has a 2015 90HP Evinrude outboard, with a purchase, and complete install around $6k. Is repowering immediately a terrible idea? Or for the price, would getting the 40HP running again be a smarter option. Am i missing a troubleshooting step entirely? any help is appreciated!
2013 22ft SSX Bennington with a 115hp fourstroke yamaha, $18k w/ trailer. Think it's an ok deal if I can clean it up.
I'm familiar with the engine, checking compression and lower unit but I'm more curious to get opinions on the seats, floor and these hard water marks on the actual pontoons. I've owned pontoons in the past and mine never looked like this - even the old ones.
Think I could get by with starbrite for the vinyl seats, floor cleaner and acid wash to bring it back to life? A bit weary of the pontoon spots and hoping I can bring the mildew out of these seats. Don't want to be stuck with a $5k bill for recovering.
Hey all! We’ve purchased a new Harris cruiser and loving it so far! Just wondering if anyone has recommendations on cleaning products for the seats and floor? Do you all wash every time you go out? We go on lakes so no salt water and we trailer it so it’s not sitting in the water for long periods. Thanks!
Does this look like old Shark Hide protectant?
Just got a 2018 Sun Tracker Sportfish 22 DLX with a Mercury 150. Had it out for the first time today. Loading is a little tricky, but I'll get the hang of it.
It handled and rode the water like a dream. Kids and wife had plenty of room to move around and get comfortable, even with all of our gear onboard.
I was able to get 33mph with me, my wife and two kids, a cooler, fishing gear and full tank of gas.
Does that sound about right or can I get a few more mph somehow?
I've read about dirty tubes slowing it down. How can I tell if these need a cleaning?
And what is this silver port on the lower right side of the motor?
This is my boat (1988 Godfrey Aqua Patio with a 40HP Yamaha). In the rear compartments I recently added a backup gas tank (6 gallons in addition to the original 6) as well as a house battery. This is my first time having it in the water fully loaded with full tanks since adding this stuff. I know it will level out with passengers in the front and as gas is used, but is this too low? And if so are there any realistic solutions other than relocating the batteries and gas?
Does anyone have a cover that is fast and easy to take on and put off? Maybe one that clips under the rail?
Ours fits great, but it is a slow process to unsnap the many snaps around the railing. Thanks for any recommendations!
This was at lake Pleasant.
Sorry if this isn’t allowed. A group of us from England are holidaying in Lake Country BC in August.
I’m looking at hiring a pontoon for the day, but I can’t for the life of me find any details of what each of the available pontoons to help me make a choice on which to go with.
I’ve googled and searched on the South Bay website but still no firm details on any on the available pontoons, which are:
South Bay 115 23’ Pontoon Boat Rental (Seating Capacity 12)
South Bay 150 22’ Pontoon Boat Rental (Seating Capacity 11)
Crest 22’ DLX 220 Pontoon Boat Rental (Seating Capacity 12)
Crest LX 220 SLC 22' Pontoon Boat Rental (Seating Capacity 12)
The last two are more expensive, but I don’t know why, is it bigger engine size? Better/more facilities?
Is anyone able to help with any details of what the differences are between these Pontoons please? It would be much appreciated!
Ignore my crappy drawing on my phone lol. My pontoon is currently down to the frame as I am doing new flooring/seats etc.. anywho, I am thinking a clean front deck would be nice. Maybe I don't know how anchoring works?? I have one located on the port rear and one starboard front. Do most have two? Where else could I put one that's on the front to keep the deck clean?
Besides Blue Sky, since they seem to be sold out of most sizes, does anyone recommend any UV covers for their Pontoon?
Looking for something quick to deploy and doesn’t take up a lot of space when not in use.
TIA
What’s the trick? I replace the bunk carpet 2 seasons ago and it already looks like garbage and is shredded. Are there different grades of carpet? I was considering going to the plastic bunks but cannot workout a positive cost/ benefit assessment.
Got a solid deal on a boat last year, like I'm talking $9k under average for a Sylan Mirage. Previous owner was lazy with putting the cover on so the seat vinyl was in mildly ok shape.
I used it for the season and the boat has been absolutely fantastic, reliable, etc so now I'd like to invest a touch on some things at the close of that s season. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get the upholstery? Asked a guy locally and he even recommended to look online.
The problem I'm running into is most of these websites look like they're made in 1995 and the information on them is pretty unhinged like someone's drunk grandfather out them together.
Usually I'm pretty good at finding things, but asking for help on where to look or from personal experience.
Looking to add a second Bimini. No clue where to start. The canvas is Ameritex. This is a single Bimini with no front zipper. Where can I find the front frame and buy a double Bimini? Is it possible to add onto the existing frame? Has anyone bought a second frame that looks the exact same as existing and buy another canvas? Will 2 biminis look weird if they can’t connect?
Grew up boating on lakes as a kid. Started sailing about 27 years ago in the Caribbean. Back then it was 90% monohulls and 10% catamarans. Catamarans have since taken over the charter market in the Islands due to their space and comfort. Likewise pontoons have taken over our lake in northeast PA. Getting ready to retire next year and finally broke down and moving to a pontoon. Taking delivery of this 2023 South Bay 523RS 2.75 and couldn't be more excited.
