Gifted prayer plant(I think) looks like it's dying shortly after receiving

Hello, I need help please

Last week, I received this prayer plant as a gift but it looked like it had spider mites on it. So I used that YouTube video that was recommended from reddit with the dish soap, alcohol and water spray. Then I gave it a little bit of water and humidity. I touched the soil and it's still wet so I tried making holes in it, to help it dry out. But I'm not sure what's happening to it or what I did wrong? I feel I may have put it through so much when it first was just trying to transition from one house to another. It's in indirect light and away from any drafts. I usually keep the temperature here around 72°F - 74°F.

Thank you in advance for any help

Might need a little help!

Take it easy on me I’m a Hoya head and this is literally the only maranta I own 😂 This plant was literally twice as full six months ago and it’s been dropping leaves like crazy. Any advice? Should I just chop and prop at this point? 😬

Walked in for a prayer plant, walked out with a prayer plant... and an Alocasia because apparently I lack self-control. Meet the new centerpiece!

I went out specifically to pick up this prayer plant, and honestly, it was a steal at $10. I was genuinely shocked at how beautiful it was when I actually got it in my hands. It’s absolute perfection sitting on my entryway ledge.

Naturally, though, the person I bought it from asked, "Do you want this too?" holding up an Alocasia, and for five bucks, I couldn't say no.

Now I'm officially curating a growing family of prayer plants and Alocasias. (It’s only been the last couple weeks as I moved plants in and out of the house that I actually have a focus like that)

This newcomer Alocasias is currently doing a dramatic horizontal balancing act while it adjusts to relocation, and it’s hanging out in strict quarantine camp under an LED light for the next couple of weeks just in case it brought home any uninvited hitchhikers from the outdoors.

The new prayer plant is close enough to get some of that LED light across the entryway but not close enough to share bugs if there are any.

Roast me for my lack of plant restraint accordingly. 😂

This prayer plant is my favorite

i struggle to keep other plants alive but this one has always thrived for me! Bought it 3 years ago from Lowe’s when it was a wee lad with only 3 leaves

Prayer Plant Flower?

Is this a flower on my prayer plant? I didn’t know they did that, to be honest I didn’t think he was too happy so i’m awfully surprised haha! Any other tips for caring for him? He was a reduced to clear supermarket save and has had a lot of pruning in the year i’ve had him, he’s looking really leggy and bare though so any advice is appreciated! Especially since he keeps growing leaves but not many stems…

What are we doing wrong here?

This came in a smaller pot and seemed happy. We moved it into this larger one and it is much less happy. We have tried more water, less water, more light, less light, but the leaves just seem less and less happy. Not sure where to go from here.

Ok wait

WAY too stoked lol. Prayer Plants are the “hard ones” for me… but I cut some dying parts off one of em, and not only are they thriving now but already have been growth (leaves and a stem, I think..!?!).
Just sharing cuz I’m stoked. 🫠🫶

Prayer plant help

This prayer plant was doing beautifully for a long time, even blooming! (Pic#1 is from healthier times)

A few months ago, I noticed leaves were turning dull, speckled, and dying off all together. I repotted it in a pot about 2” larger than the rootball. The roots looked fantastic, chunky, white, lots of tubers.

But it continues to have dying dull speckled leaves and looks just generally unwell.
I have examined it for pests and not found any.

Any ideas?????

New Rescue! What to do?

Just got this zebrina at a discount I’m guessing because she doesn’t look great! Should I chop everything off and start from scratch or maybe keep the leaves for now??
