This is an appreciation post to say that President's songs are GROWERS in the extreme for me.

So I don't know how typical of a fan I am by saying I am a Sleep Token fan who was algorithmed into watching In The Name of The Father when it debuted and I was like "Oh cool a Sleep Token inspired band I'll check them out and try not to compare them too much." I know now how different President are and not derivative of ST at all. They are probably my new favourite heavy band.

I listened to the King of Terrors EP and was kinda underwhelmed at first. I liked ITNOTF and Fearless was okay and Rage was kinda meh but then I read some blurb about how Blood of Your Empire was about the loss of faith and what comes after that and then the lyrics became super sharp and relatable because that's what I have been going through the last few years as well coming from a very Christian background. Now I can feel the lyrics of every song in a way that makes me feel almost personally addressed and it's fucking awesome to hear music about this specific experience. I know there's other stuff going on in the lyrics but for me these songs seem to have come at just the right time.

My favourite songs are definitely Conclave followed by Dionysus and Angel Wings and an honourable mention to Destroy Me and dark heaven but yea.. I am so fucking hooked.

If anyone else has had this experience with their music I would love to hear about it.

If you haven't listen to Fightstar, I HIGHLY recommend that you do! You can so feel the PRESIDENT dna in Charlie's earlier work! I belive there's only 5 albums and so far I'm loving going back to it! His first album Grand Unification is from 2005 and it's so nostalgic yet refreshing!

Does anyone have a spare ticket for the Orlando, FL show?? I tried to get them but couldn’t. Would prefer 2 if anyone has them, If this is allowed

I have 2 extra tickets to see President on Sept 4th in Nashville. My 2 friends aren’t able to go. I got them on Ticketmaster and it won’t be me resell/transfer. This sale would have go to someone that will meet me at the venue so I can scan us in.

I've struggled badly with alcohol. I finally stopped over 2 months ago after never going more than a few days without a binge drink for 20+ years.

I've been listening to President since the beginning primarily because I'm a C*****e S*****n fan and yeah, it goes without saying the music is incredible and inspiring. The whole gimmick is pure art...I was in awe when I saw them at Slam Dunk festival recently.

But anyway, I just want to say this music is HEALING me. My anxiety, my depression, my fight to stay sober has been helped deeply by President.

Can anyone else relate here?
