Anywhere to go to have nice cocktails with an Afro-Carribean vibe?

I'm hosting an event in Preston! There will be musicians, games, activities, sports, shopping, cash prize draw, bottle in a bag, good local food and loads more. There will also be a Galloways Bake Off competition, £3 to submit your show stopper - win a brand new mixer and bakery hamper.

Celebrating the skills and talents of our community while raising money for Preston's sight loss charity, Galloways, who turn 160 next year.

Recently started eating more seafood but haven't had the chance to try anywhere that really specialises in it. Are there any highly recommended/rated seafood restaurants nearby? Willing to travel anywhere near the NW aside from Manchester city centre.

Hi community, I’m looking on advice of areas to consider for a mod 30s couple with a 2 year old. Preference is to have a peaceful, friendly neighbourhood with good transport links and connectivity, good nurseries , primary schools around as well as other amenities.

I’ve been living in Preston for over six months now, and to be honest, I’ve been feeling quite lonely. I haven’t managed to make any friends, whether male or female, and being single has made it even harder.

I work from home, so I think that probably doesn’t help. Recently, I’ve started getting out more and spending time in Preston city centre. For example, if I see a woman I find attractive, I’ll smile, politely introduce myself, and compliment her. I’m just trying to be more social and step outside my comfort zone.

Life is starting to feel repetitive and boring, and I’d really appreciate any advice from people who have been in a similar situation. How did you make friends or build a social life in Preston?

We're going to Rockprest tomorrow and then once it's finished at 10, we're looking at getting an Uber then to a pub or bar to watch the England game, where would you recommend to watch it?

Looking at a house on St Austins Road in Preston. It is social housing as I am fleeing DV. Please can people tell me any more info about the area ?

I am currently in the process of moving to Preston to start work as a new graduate. I would prefer to rent outside the city centre as I have a car and would prefer parking to be less of a pain. Ideally 1 bed apartments/ studio. Does anyone have any suggestions or areas known to be better
