Heard him running around in the centre and in winckley square screaming out ‘my phone’ before resulting to cursing. What we understood is that someone ran out of his apartment and left with his car after stealing his phone based on our proximity to him near his apartment. He was extremely noisy and I’m wondering how no one else in Preston heard the ruckus he caused and how come there weren’t any police in the area to take control? Hoping he’s not crazy because we’re close to where he lives…

Hi I’m Charlotte 32, I want to move to England. It’s always been my dream to move to England and the current regime in power has only made me want to do it faster. I’m looking for place to move to in the UK but I’m single and not rich by any means. I saw Preston house prices are some of the cheaper in the country. And I’ve been told ‘northerners’ are very friendly and welcoming. Is Preston a good area to move to, things to do, places nearby. I don’t mind the cold even though I am from Florida. Currently in the early stages of my search. Any advice or suggestions would be great. Thanks x.

Wondered if anyone had noticed the vandalised on the big willow tree at winkley square. I walk past it on my lunch and I saw it had been spray painted, when I went upto it there was a playing card and destroyed plant pot. Only reason I ask if that ive seen teenagers have a memorial there for a girl that died.

The graffiti was the symbol of red john from a show called the mentalist, gave me chills. Hope those kids are okay tho, as its their friends memorial.

Edit: because I didn't make it clear, someone has vandalised the memorial these teenagers left. It was done i can only assume to insult the girl who died.

Looks like it has finally shut down. The shelves were bare for months (albeit with a minor improvement in May).

Final nail in the coffin was most likely when Lane Ends Food opened.

Sorry, I know this is a rubbish thing to ask, but I'm struggling to get a plumber, someone who I know won't rip me off. I have a rattling pipes problem and a dodgy shower (which is probably a related issue). Any help other than "try googling plumber" would be massively appreciated.

Looking to become a forklift operator however forklift jobs are very sparse where I live, i am looking into getting my counterbalance and possibly reach certificate however I have no factory/warehouse experience as once again where I am from is not very industrialised.

I wanna surprise my wife for my marriage anniversary who has gone for vacations to Preston, UK. Since it’s not possible for me to be there, i still wanna make her feel special by sending over a cake and a bouquet.

I’m not naive I know there’s rats everywhere. I’ve seen enough around Preston over the years but never as frequently or as many as I’ve seen in the last week. Normally they are shy and hide as soon as they see you. I normally only see them once or twice a year. In the last week I’ve seen eight at the top end of Moor Park near the car park and opposite the Heartbeat entrance on PNE.

They’re brazen and couldn’t care less about people walking past. Two just literally hopped out of a bush right in front of me. I’m guessing they’ve been displayed by the pond works but still this seems excessive.

I haven't had my hair cut professionally in years because of bad experiences and general nerves. I want to get a shag cut/mullet/wolf cut (I have photos but don't really know how to describe it.) and when researching hair dressers in my immediate area they all tend to lean towards more sleek styles, still lovely just not my style. Any recommendations? I can travel to Chorley if need be.
