Trying to find a markdown editor for linux that doesn't suck!

Currently using apostrophe but it's slow, bloated, and full of bugs. Any recommendations please? Requirements are side-by-side preview, "source-code" mode, so typing doesn't attempt to make a stylised version of what you type but leaves that to the preview.

What exactly is sent to the model on each request?

I'm trying to reduce token use and trying to figure out what's being sent each request for my input tokens to be so significant. What's sent per request?

- [x] the contents of the AGENTS.md file

- [ ] available skills? With descriptions?

- [ ] available MCPs / ACPs?

Anything else?

How come OC reports hundreds of thousands DeepSeek Flash Tokens, but Deepseek reports millions?

That's tens of millions on the DS platform (direct not via GO). I'm not really sure what people mean when they say that $5 would last all month for them. I'm using maybe 50c a day with just a few hours using Flash. I'm not sure if my account is discounted or not but I've only recently just signed up.

Other than the context size (200k vs 1M), what's the difference between big pickle DS v4 flash and the native DS v4 Flash?

The native one seems more to the point and 'on it' to me rather than verbose - is that what everyone is finding.

What model is bigpickle? It's freaking amazing atm!

It used to be ok, then recently and suddenly improved but was very verbose. Now it's at a great balance between not too verbose and great understanding.

What model is it?

When opening, can I force the full screen layout, not the small box for the first prompt?

I'd like to open with the full ui rather than just the small box for initial prompt - is this possible?

Multi-threaded parallel responses

E.g. the code is exploring different files. I have to wait for it to happen sequentially and seems a waste. Can such commands be run in parallel to speed up overall response times?

why does caveman skill keep getting disabled after a build response?

Despite stating caveman mode on, caveman mode always on, it keeps switching itself off. is there some magic sauce to get it to remain in use?

I like to play some of the roulette streams before signing up / having to play with real money - what casinos offer free view with 'free' money to pretend play?

So this happened today. Hear me out... So a group (clique) finish shift, get their work clothes off and have a little meal and drinks in the pub they work in. Sounds fine. The currently working waiting staff stop for a good while and talk to their 'friends', shouting happens between the working and non-working employees, some of the off-shift employees run into the kitchen to get this or that. They get their food first before nearby people who ordered a good while ago. One barmaid serves her friends before waiting customers. Customers are stood waiting at the bar not being served for minutes despite 4-5 staff just standing around talking to each other behind / around the bar, this group are getting their trays of drinks brought to them quickly. The off-shift group talk about other staff in a negative way, ha ha. Toxic. It reinforces a them-vs-us attitude and is where disobedience / childish behaviour quickly sets in.

It makes for a really bad atmosphere in the pub and when you employ young people who want to be liked by each other, a dangerous cliquey group because if a customer complains about one in the clique then that customer is in for a hard time from the clique.

I accept some employees will sit in the pub and chill and perhaps be on their own, but I've been in several spoons where the above has happened and it seems sadly these people spoil it for everyone else. I don't want to be socialising or chilling with this happening around me. It's not the school playground.

It's so stupid, doesn't understand instructions properly, does what it wants even after being told it's wrong, gets confused regarding answers to its questions, and comes up with terrible solutions. it used to be my free go to. Now I'm stuck.

Is it like an indicator / in-joke?

  • This sow is in season and ready for breeding?
  • This field is ready for ploughing?
  • This field is ready for seed drilling?
  • This field is blooming and ready for munching on?

I would have asked, but everyone was already pissed as they arrived at the station!

Sidenote: They're all terribly posh.

This is something I would use. I guess home / end kinda works like a web page when that part has focus, but I think it's undocumented? Something visual would be great. A scroll bar would be awesomest!

The famous one being how to make free "crystals" that would have exploded in your face as you were following the instructions - fortunately most 4chan posters of old (with moot running the show) were smart enough not to do it.

But now, the amount of teens who die from these "challenges" amazes me. As an older person - the age who could lose a son/daughter - I think TT really should have content warnings on challenges that are / can be deadly, or just remove them altogether.

I'd be interested in what do the younger generation think?

If you haven't seen it, it's worth a watch. So a brain implant adds a new 'voice' to people. The film follows a guy disabled from a car accident and the voice tells him during a fight "just say 'take control' and I'll take over"... he does and the chip - just self-trained in all forms of martial arts techniques takes over his body and all hell breaks loose!

Then... we learn later in the film - spoiler alert! - that the chip was screwing with him and was able to take control all along.

So it freaks me out when OC writes this on the screen!

Mine was with an extreme hoarder. Clear mental health issues. Single woman. We're talking junk piled waist high, rusty tricycle, old toys, black bags (some decaying) full of crap, a stack of old yellowed newspapers in a corner. Large rooms so full of rubbish that the only path is a small foot-width (that's a foot width, not 12") at one side of the room to move through.

Other houses I've seen included having cat-spray all throughout the house + aerosol spray paint fumes sprayed inside the house (with all windows shut), and another with the constant smell of hard drug use.

What horrors have you seen?
