Did anyone fly from Blackpool Airport before it shut down? Was it a good experience?

I’ll be having a few days at Marton Mere and wouldn’t mind heading out with the wife and kid for something nice to eat if there are any must-try places? Super easy in terms of cuisine.

Is Armenian kebab house also worth a visit? I’ve read good things about it but I’m not sure if a takeaway kebab is worth travelling for (or maybe it is, I love the stuff). 🥙

What’s the best Chinese takeaway in Blackpool for noodles?

This is something I was thinking about there is an entire generation possibly 2 that only know madam tussauds as being the waxworks on the front. So many do not remember the horror and utter terrible art pieces that was louis tussauds.

The things I remember was the exit just before the chamber of horror with the giant skull and spider legs, the random lone ninja turtle just standing in an alcove, and the fact that very little of the figures actually looked like the people they weren’t meant to be

I’ve tried googling more about it but like a lot of blackpools past attractions(peabodies, the tower dinosaur ride, the Gerry Anderson’s exhibit) there isn’t a lot out there as most direct to madam tussauds

So anyone got any pictures or memories of this place.

Does anyone remember Laser Quest or the Crystal Maze back in the early nineties?

I've been living with my mom for past couple of months until i find a place back home in Manchester, looking for a decent bar to get a drink and strike up conversation with strangers. Into rock mostly.

Is there anywhere that does semi decent food (or better) and will have the champions league final on.

Doesn't have to be terrific food, but the better food the better (will keep the Mrs happy for 90 mins hopefully)
