The current corruptions available to different items all are the same. Rare, Unique, Crafted, or Magic all have the same pool. Instead the pools available for an items are based on both the item type and rarity; Rare, Unique, Crafted, and Magic gloves can get different, but similar, corruptions.
Some made up examples:
Gloves - The corruption: +30-40% Enhanced Damage. Magic gloves can be corrupted to add +50-70% ED. Rare gloves get a lower amount at +40-50% ED. Crafted gloves get a lower amount at +35-45% ED. Unique gloves keep the current +30-40% ED.
Orbs/Wands - The corruption: +10%FCR/5% Elemental Skill Damage. Magic Orbs/Wands get a +1-2all/x%fcr and/or +20%fcr/+5-10% Elemental Skill Damage added to their pool. Rare and Crafted items keep the +10%FCR/5% Elemental Skill Damage. Unique items have this removed from its pool.
Chest - The corruption: +1 to All Skills. Magic Chest gets +1-2 to All Skills. Rare and Crafted get to keep the current +1 to All Skills. Unique items have this removed from its pool.
Chest - The corruption: +1-3 Sockets. Magic Chest gets +3-5 Sockets. Rare and Crafted Chests keep the current +1-3 Sockets. Unique Chest gets reduced +1-2 Sockets.
Belts - The corruption: +2% to All Max Res. Magic Belts get +2-3% to All Max Res. Rare and Crafted items get +2% to All Max Res. Unique items have this removed from its pool.
Maps - The corruption: Area gains +1 Zone Level. Magic maps get Area gains +2 Zone Level and Area Gains Rarity & Density. Rare maps no longer have this corruption in its pool(but can get it from normal mods, like a few seasons back)
These are all just some ideas I came up with off the top of my head and are probably not balanced at all, I am just trying to get the idea out there.
Overall this would take a lot of work to implement in a balanced way but I think it would add quite a bit of diversity in items and how they're used. I would like to hear what you think of it.
Does that work like it reads? A 20% increase in radius would be a 44% bigger slapping area.
Is there a way to compare this like a mod with invincible mob packs?
Pretty good one if feel. Max All res, 2/10 with MDR
I’ve been a long time ladder player in d2 and d2r. Always started a ladder with blizz sorc for easy start then switch to hammerdin/ javazon once I get an enigma. Will it work in pd2? I’m currently leveling a frozen orb sorc as some guys suggested in games
Trying out single player for the first time, gotten my barb to start doing maps and I have some questions
My barb is not good geared at all just got some random stuff and managed to craft a 300+ed maul that’s the only good item I got, should I run maps rare or just white at the start? Got my res capped at 75. Or should I be farming chaos or pits or something else?
Question 2:
I want to fix a torch soon so question is should I make a sorc for that? And what type of sorc is least gear required for farming keys / potential UT?

Since .allstats was only introduced in season 10 (i think) and i didnt really document most of the stats anyways, apart from occasionally checking, i am not to sure on the exact numbers of statistics, but these are some rough stats i remember:
Total monster kills: ~ 29-31 million
Most maps for level 99: ~1000 - 1100, on the first lvl 99 necro, due to inefficiency/deaths/no SoH used/etc
Least maps for level 99: ~720, on the paladin - iirc 100 RoB and ~620 T3 Pandemoniums
.played total: ~3100 hours, this one is really hard to tell, realisitically it is a good bit less, since this includes afk time - some chars took around 200 hours, while others were at 300 - though the time/map was rather similar
Least amount of monsters killed to lvl 99: 1.55 million on Paladin / 1.65 on Amazon and one of the necros
Most amount of monsters killed to lvl 99: likely over 3 mill on the first necro
These differences heavily depend on maps ran. For example Pandemionum Citadels has roughly half the total monsters as something like Throne or RoB, and i did alot of Citadels on most chars. Some builds though, couldnt do Citadels, due to immunites, so their killcount is a lot higher by default.
Most run map 97-99:
T3 Pandemonium Citadel
T3 Throne
T2/T3 River of Blood
Map bosses arent worth it, unless you can kill them reliably in 4-5 seconds or less.
Before the map shuffle in season 13, Citadels certainly were the most exp/map, roughly 25-30% more exp than the next best map.
Maps needed for 98-99 (full SoH): ~350 - 450, so roughly 400 average, depending on deaths and investment (rerolling maps, catalyst shards, etc)
The map shuffle also means the exp/map is worse in s13 than it was before. I did mostly River of Blood this season, around 1300 split across the necro and barb and noticed the exp to be at most equal if not worse than throne last season.
The barb for example needed 901 maps total for lvl 99: 1 sewers (test map), 733 T3 River of Blood, 167 Kyovas - the latter are somewhat ok for exp, still alot worse than s12 Citadels, but better exp/map than River of Blood. That being said, if i played barb in s12 the total maps needed probably would have been around 800 instead, quite a difference.
Technically, for exp/h, T3 River of Blood is equal to T2 Pandemonium Citadel, atleast for me, while the latter is way safer, since it doesnt have archers, which can be plain stupid with auras and map mods.
On the note of exp, the addition of the "Exile" event also doesnt help. Apart from it being annoying, it dillutes the eventpool. Meaning you see less of the other events, which are generally quite good, especially mendeln.
Deathless characters:
Druid,
Sorc,
Barb.
The others either had deaths during campaign - i play necro as first char every season and stuff happens - or just unlucky situations in maps. Paladin had 2 deaths from double aura packs in t2 RoBs. Amazon was deathless from lvl 85 to 99 once i swapped to the defense setup (20 k defense + evade/dodge is nuts).
Cheapest character with then prices:
Probably paladin: Due to many item slots being fixed with runewords and specific uniques, it was "hard" to even spent 150 hr on it, if not for me wanting maxrolls on some items, the total definitly would have been less than 50 hr.
Most expensive character:
Sorc by far. Partly due to me wanting bis gear and partly lightning sorc being meta, sorc ended up costing around 575 hr, which could have been more i guess, but trade wasnt the most active at the time anymore, so thats what i ended up with.
Total Mirrors found: 1 - in s12
Total Vials found: 13 or 14 - 1-2 each season, 5 in season 12
Tyraels found: 1- 6 per season - Gheed played a big role in that, without gheed it would probably less than 1 per season on avg
Item i found the least of: Death's Web - i dont think i found more than 3 total - i also dont buy the base at gheed, but still, its the rarest item
Money made per character: conservative estimate 200 - 300 hr + their gear - no crafting.
See you next season.
Edit: Fixing some spelling mistakes.
I found vex ohm and ist on fresh holy grail quite early im lvl 84. Thinking of going split throw with exile shield - is it worth it? Or is the skill meh?
Would a 452 ed maul with %40 DS be better than a 572 ed maul? 700ed?
Sorry Im new here. What are these gems next to a perfect gems and how to craft this?
I would assume would be nice poke stick for a jabber. Is that my best option?
I was about to download D2 resurrected and noticed project d2. I'll ask some basic and probably obvious questions...
It's an mmo?
Are the servers active?
Do you need other players to make the full experience or can I just play this in place of singleplayer?
Pros cons? I used to play D2 years ago and wanted to go back to it. I like the look of the remaster or whatever but am open to this if it's an equivalent or better experience. Lost my d2 disc years ago so would need to rebuy.
Edit: Thank you very much for the answers! I feel enlightened. I've decided to play resurrection once through to remember the extent of the base game before going to pd2. I want to have a better understanding of the changes made.
My question is mostly towards Enchant-sorc, Tesladin / Dragondin, maybe Fire Claw druid, since I already have a Vengeance, but really like to build a character around that.
Or should I stick to skillers and % elememental damage large charms?
