96 civic question

I have 2, 96' civics and was wondering what the second plug (white/blue/green/red wire) goes to on the 1st picture.

Second pic is the 2nd civic which only have the one plug.

Both civics both ex & 96

How should I connect wires to these pins?

My plan was to wrap the wire around the pins and solder. Will that work?

Which mtf ?

Hey guys, what mtf do you guys recommend? I have an 88 crx si , im scared to use honda mtf because that stuff is so darn thin. Its not the og stuff back then . What i have now is gm synchromesh friction modified in my trans. And ive tried penzoil but it was so notchy and grinds. Gm synchromesh is good but still feels a little notchy. Is our trans notchy by nature? In the manual they state using 10w30 or 10w40 temporarily but the one sold in stores nowadays i dont trust them in my trans. What do you guys recommend? Thank you so much!

What colour should I go with? (Need advice!!!!)

Looking for you guys opinion, currently building my ek and got to the part where I’ve spent a ridiculous amount on building a 450whp motor so now I’ve decided to just go all out with the car. The car is currently black (last picture) but it was painted back in 2017 and paint isn’t in the best condition not to mention I’ve got a lot of parts like lips, bumper, wing etc etc. The car was originally red like the second picture main reason why I wanna go back to that colour. These are my options being a charcoal metallic grey, gloss red or keeping it the way it is and painting all the parts although I doubt the paint will match. I really like the red personally as I’ve never seen one personally but the grey metallic is pretty cool but doesn’t stand out. What would you guys go with?

RYWIRE K SERIES ENGINE HARNESS

Hello everyone! I've been asking here frequently as of late and everyone has been helpful.

I was just wondering if this would work for a k20A dc5 type r engine with a civic ek coupe chasis and a dc2 subframe swap.

Also another question, would I still be able to put new speakers and a headunit like the idoing for carplay?

Thank you for everyone who answered my questions as of late I really appreciate the thread

90's Honda engine/transmission

Hi all - I'm doing a K Swap and I pulled a running B16a bottom-end with 97 Integra Type-R head (PR3-4). It has a Civic SI EK transmission. Any idea what kind of money I can get for this, or is it better to just fix it up and find a donor chassis for a new life?

Help 🙄🙄

Okay so I have a 00 Civic Ex coupe 1.6L d16y8….its my first project car and I don’t know much so here I am. So my D light is flashing. These are the codes that I scanned. I replaced a fuse because it was blown (I forgot which one but it was on the fuse box inside my dash ). What would the next best course be to see what’s causing it? I have watched videos on it and the guy talked about the solenoids…oh also it went into limp mode pretty much. Like I was not accelerating but then I let the car sit for like 5 hours and the tow truck dude was able to drive it on the rollback.
Please any advice would be pretty dope.

Getting too old for this.

Had to change out the brake booster on the coupe today. Must say my spine is not happy right now…lol. What’s the one part you dread changing?

Daily or project?

So i bought this ek3 civic but it has a pretty high mileage (290k km/180k miles).

Before buying this car my plan was to replace it with my current daily (2001 toyota yaris) but since the mileage is so high i dont realy dare to do it anymore and im thinking of just keeping the yaris and having the civic as a project car. The civic also has 0 papers so i cant really know if it was taken care of or not.

Can this civic still last me some years as a daily or should i really keep it as a project car?

Squeaky Clutch Pedal

Hey all, I need some help. I’m having some issues with a squeaky clutch pedal. It squeaks a bit during the top end and on the bottom end it sounds heavy. I tried silicone spray and regular grease for the spring and the actual part that connects to the master, nothing has worked so far.

Clutch engagement

Car ran fine a week ago until yesterday. Drove to the garage and couldn’t put it into reserve, this morning tried the same thing and still wouldn’t go into reverse. One thing I’ve noticed is the car will go into all gears except reverse but only when the cars turned off. Come to find out today I can shift into gear without engaging the clutch at all? First thing I’m doing is bleeding then checking to see if anything is bent out of place but other than that idk what else to check? Any ideas ?

Don’t buy this junk

Figured I’d try to save someone else the frustration. If you’ve got a 94-97 Accord (I think some Preludes use these also), don’t buy these Dorman exterior door handles. They fit like complete garbage. The originals were metal, the Dorman is cheap plastic. Get a used one from the junkyard and paint it to match.

Newest Project! 93 Cb7 2dr Accord Lx with a jdm f22b dual cam

Runs like ass currently. just went thru the vac box and have it idling now but still has a constant backfire lol. Only paid 580$ tho so we finna call this a dub I believe.

High idle

Rebuilt my civic motor. It starts fine and everything, but I can't figure out this idling issue. It idles super high, and when it warms up, it surges.

Edit: its a 99 d16y8. Tps, iacv, map sensor have been replaced. Tps has been calibrated as well.
