Unable to access alumni portal

I recently resigned from PwC AC and got an email to register for the alumni portal but was unable to access it. Has anyone faced this issue or does anyone know whom I can contact to get this fixed? Also what is the process to return assets?

What insurance plan do you use?

In the United States, I’m curious, what insurance do you guys use? Like should I get the high deductible one or the open access one? Or something in between? Me and my wife are pretty healthy but I want to be able to go get proactive care like dermotologist, dentist cleaning, urologist, podiatrist, etc throughout the year and not get dinged for hundreds of dollars. What should I get?

Associates, can we talk about the silent treatment

So I came into PwC as an SM after spending my whole career in industry, which means I’m watching this from a slightly different seat than most people at my level. And there’s one thing I keep noticing.

Yes, a lot of associates are still finding their footing technically. That’s normal, you’re new, nobody expects you to know everything yet. But the bigger issue I keep seeing isn’t the technical gaps. It’s the communication around them. Associates go quiet on an engagement, and I end up having to track them down over and over just to figure out where things stand. When I ask if they need help, it’s almost always “nope, all good!” Then the deadline hits and it wasn’t actually all good.

I promise it’s not just me being paranoid. A bunch of us at the SM and Director level have quietly compared notes and noticed the same thing. It’s honestly a big part of why office days are getting pushed harder lately.

Here’s the good news though: you have way more tools in your back pocket than any associate class before you. AI, honestly, at your fingertips, with permission to actually use it. That should be closing the technical gap fast, if you’re using it right.

So my one piece of advice, if you take nothing else from this post: stop trying to be the smartest person in the room. Instead, get really good at talking to the smartest person in the room. Don’t make your manager hunt you down. Beat them to it. Tell them where you are, what’s tripping you up, what you need. That one habit will make you stand out more than any technically perfect answer ever will, and it’ll buy you a lot of grace while you’re still building the technical skills.

You’ve got this. Just talk to us. 🙂

What do Tier 1, 2, 3 rating mean?

I am new to the market and recently joined the PwC US as a SA. I wanted to get clarity on what the tiers mean here when my RL says “we can try to get Tier 2 rating for your first CRT”

Is Tier 1 better than Tier 2 or is Tier 3 better than Tier 2?

How do these tiers affect bonuses and promotion?

Would be great if people who know this can help out here! Thank you!

PwC India interview completed but no response for weeks. Does this mean rejection?

Hi everyone,

I interviewed for the Associate – Risk Consulting at PwC India on 13 June 2026.

I completed all the rounds on the same day (Technical, Partner, and HR). During the HR round, they asked me questions about citizenship, passport, academics (60%+), relocation, travel readiness, previous association with PwC, etc., and mentioned that all the interview stages were complete and that further communication would come through the placement cell.

I recently contacted the interviewer for an update, and he told me that the details had already been shared with the placement cell. However, my placement team says they haven't received any update yet .

It's been quite a while now, and I still haven't received any selection or rejection email.

Has anyone else experienced such a delay with PwC India, especially for off-campus or fresher roles?

Does no response for this long usually mean rejection, or is it normal for PwC to take several weeks to communicate results?

Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!

Understaffed? No help

~1 year associate in assurance. Is it normal that our managers do not have time to go through things with us because they have a lot of things? And then expect us to know what to do, how to do it and do it by the urgent deadline? 😅

Passed over for Manager for the second year in a row

Just found out I didn’t make Manager again.

Last year, I was told I wasn’t ready because I was split across two large listed engagements. I took that feedback seriously, dropped one engagement, and focused on my main client. This year, I genuinely felt I had stepped up. I led a sub-team, coached staff, solved issues independently, and my manager told me she had no concerns about my readiness.

At CRT, though, the feedback was still “visibility.” The partner and director on my main engagement said they didn’t know me well enough to support my promotion, even though I’ve made a real effort to be more visible.

There were only 19 promotion spots this year, and we were told there were more candidates than usual, so I understand it was competitive.

Still, missing out for the second year in a row after acting on the feedback is really affecting my confidence.

Has anyone else been through this? Did you keep pushing internally or decide it was time to move on?

I'm a newer SA who needs advice on how to ensure a good CRT next year

I've been working in the industry for the last 7+ years; I've recently joined Advisory a couple months ago as a SA. My first CRT will be next year in 2027 since I wasn't employed long enough to be evaluated, any advice on what I should be doing to ensure a solid CRT?

Also, when requesting snapshots, how should I approach this? I've successfully worked on several project, that led to additional work/great director/partner feedback. I also have been asked to singularly present proposals to clients who we're looking to sign. I've also created RFP decks that led to signed work. How should I approach the "snapshot" evaluation? Who should I specifically be asking for it? I feel like there are so many unwritten rules that no one's being honest about with me on my team.

Any advice would be appreciated. I have a good parter, but my DL is strange. She seems to have a favorite manager who I'm working with on a project and I have a feeling he's wrongly characterizing my work on this project. Any advice there?

Not reporting on Checkpoint

What happens if you get selected for a review? If my partner had investments that were not reported on checkpoint, could I just say he doesn’t have any or how do they check this?

Technical interview for PwC UK Director role, what should I expect?

Hi everyone,

I've been invited to a technical interview for a Director position at PwC UK (Customer/Technology Consulting).

Has anyone been through the Director interview process recently? I'm curious what the technical interview is actually like. Is it more of a deep dive into past client work, case-based, commercial discussion, or should I expect detailed technical questions?

Any tips on what the interviewers are looking for at Director level, and how best to prepare, would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

PwC KYC/AML Associate Final Interview – What should I expect?

Hi everyone!

PwC Southeast Asia Consulting reached out to me through LinkedIn for their KYC/AML Associate position. I applied, took the online assessment, and shortly after, they emailed me saying I passed and was scheduled for a final interview tomorrow.

However, the email also mentioned that I should "be ready for the assessment and interview," which confused me a bit. Since I've already completed the online assessment, does this mean there will be another assessment before or during the final interview?

Also, for anyone who's gone through the hiring process for this role (or a similar KYC/AML position at PwC), what should I expect during the final interview?

  • Is it mostly behavioral questions, or do they also ask technical KYC/AML questions?
  • Do they give case studies or situational scenarios?
  • Any tips on how to prepare would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Salary increase

Hi everyone! Joined last fall so this is my first new FY. I’m in advisory in the US and want to know when salary increases go into effect. Also, where can I go to find what my new salary will be? I’m not expecting anything huge but I have heard that my salary will increase but just not sure by how much. I was told I’d see it in Astro but still nothing.

Hi all,

My partner interview was a week ago, and I still haven’t heard back.

I’m curious if anyone has heard back - either a rejection or an offer, and if so, which office ?
