Hello, everyone.

Half a year ago, my best buddy and I had an idea during one of our late-night Discord chats. We are both big nerds for fantasy and mythological stuff and wondered how fun it would be to have banners or coat of arms for different orientations and identities. What could they look like, and which mythical creature could fit well or just be fun to see like that? Thus, this little collection was born!

We got:

-Hydra of Omni

-Unicorn of Pride

- The Phoenix of Trans

- The Siren of Lesbian

- The Winged Lion of Gay

- The Griffon of Aro

- The Dragon of Ace

- The Harpy of Sapphic

- The Minotaur of Achillean

- The Oroboros of Intersex [really proud of that one]

- The Hippocampus of Genderfluid

- The Sphinx of AroAce

- The Peryton of Non-binary

- The Winged Wolf of Bisexual

- And Pan for...well Pansexual

Please let us know if you come up with other cool ideas for additional identities and what they may entail.

For now we think we wanna turn this collection into something fun and thought that having these designs somehow made into pins would be a neat idea.

If you would like to support us with this plan, check out our tumblr here:

Or follow this link where we present our plan to have these made into pins in greater detail:

Take care!

What are these flags?

Hello!! I'm hoping this post fits this subreddit, it seems like it does? Anywho. I just want to make it clear, I am gay and trans (ftm), this post is purely because I am wondering and wanting to be educated.

I saw a tik tok post and the creator said if I wanted to know what the flags meant, I could reverse image search them. I tried that, several times. And not a single thing came up. I'm hoping to receive some answers.

Just to make sure everyone is aware, I do not have opinions on these flags yet and I do not intend to make an opinion until I know what they are. Please help me out lol.

I've considered myself to be extremely open minded and accepting of people of all types. But I was genuinely so confused when I saw this post.

Image 1: the only flag I have a question about is the all pink one

Image 2: I have almost no idea what 90% of the flags in that image are. I have some ideas, but none are exact to ones I have seen in the past.

Do we know anything about this flag?

I've found this flag with "gay mlm flag" description, but I can't find any info about who, when or why made it. The design is so pretty and I'm really invested into finding all gay flags I can

My Alternate TransFemme, TransMasc, TransNeutral, TransAgender and TransFluid flags

I made variations for trans flags based on current/true gender, I wanted to keep all the colours of the original trans flag but add the coloured stripe in the centre that represents the gender of the person, inspiration from the agender/demigender flags. I personally dislike the most common transfemme, transneutral and transmasc flags because they use the binary AGAB colours on the outside, to represent the birth gender/sex of the person. I can see how that’s something some want to use, especially if newly out or closeted, but as an intersex trans person I don’t really relate to my birth gender at all anymore, because I am a different sex than I was assigned. And I know a lot of trans people that are intersex or don’t allign with the binary idea of being trans FTM or MTF because AGAB is complex, and so is gender. I don’t want to be related to “AGAB on the outside, true gender on the inside” personally by the flag I use to identify myself. I also wanted to include fluid genders and a genders as I feel they get lumped into “neutral” but are often distinct. My point being, not to crap on the work of former flag makers but to provide a different option for those like me that want it and have the same or similar issues with the original flags.

Queerian gaybian

Gaybian - being both gay and lesbian in some way, being 'gay in both ways' due to being genderqueer/
trans

Queerian - attraction to queer individuals

This can be used as any combination of these terms but the main idea i had for this was a gaybian who would only date / is attracted to someone who is also attracted to them in a queer way

Cherrydollic and strawbdollic <3

The genderdollic system is a xenogender system for genders that are related to being [x] and a doll.

Cherrydollic (1-3)

A gender related to being a cherry and a doll

First image is rum cherry / any dark cherry and the second and third are for rainier cherries

Strawberrydollic / strawbdollic (4-5)

A gender related to being a strawberry and a doll

Is this the bigender flag or the intersex flag?

I keep seeing it shown as either. Does anyone know what it actually is? Also, sorry for the bad photo, this is the only form I could find it in.

Mavapora and maverpéra

Mavapora (1-2)

A centrigender that is between aporagender and maverique

Maverpéra (3-4)

A centrigender that is between maverique and péra

Centrigender - being between / in the middle of two different genders

Aporagender - a gender or genders (can be both a singular gender and an umbrella term) that is not male, female or anything in between while still not being genderless. Some aporagenders are neutral while others arent

Maverique - a gender that is completely independent from female, male, feminine, masculine, neutral or anything in between or related to those things, it's categorised by inner autonomy and conviction regarding a sense of gender that is unconventional, unorthodox and completely independent from 'conventional' concepts of gender

Péra/péragender - a gender that is not feminine, masculine or neutral and is not related to those things in any way. It's not a lack of gender or confusion or apathy about ones gender

Might make an ilyamav flag idk

Also a lot of posts incoming i have a lot of flags i forgot to upload here

What is the use of the ally flag? (new here)

It instinctively strikes me as signalling "I want people to know i support LGBT but i am scared people will think im gay if i just fly a regular pride flag". Id be grateful if anyone can change my mind because this creates a tiny frustration in me

Voidfluid

voidfluid individuals would have inconsistent gender identities with holes in their logic, branching from genderfluid

half of the flag is lighter, representing an inconsistent identity

the purple represents the mystery aspect

the star in the middle represents an „anything under the sun” mindset, while also being hollow to represent a „nothing under the sun” mindset aswell.

Queerdom wiki is closed

Fandom continues its spree of bigotry.

First it was the Gender Wiki.

Then it was the Pronoun Wiki.

Then it was the Orientation Wiki.

Now it's the Queerdom Wiki.

What's next? The LGBTQIA Wiki?

u/Forsaken_Site_2268 — 10 days ago

So uh, I think FANDOM is queerphobic

So I don't know if anyone else knows this but I was just organising flags to put into my CharacterHub profiles and I find out that the damn Pronoun Wiki was shut down today.

I'm starting to think that FANDOM is just queerphobic because they shut down the very big and very beloved Gender Wiki not too long ago.

As far as I can tell, there was no reason for taking the Pronoun Wiki down alongside all of the flags made for many of the pronouns and neopronouns.

I'm just pissed, man.
