Redesign of the Novigender Flag!

Novigender, or novogender, is a gender in which one's gender experience (or lack thereof) is complicated in such a way that it is difficult or impossible to fit into one term. Novigender falls under the umbrella of pomogender, which is defined as a gender in where one denies or does not fit any labels for any particular gender. A pomogender individual may know they are not cisgender, but cannot, or is not interested in specifying their gender.
Simply put, novigender individuals' gender experience cannot be expressed simply or in a single term, label or word.

Indigo represents the complexity of the gender experience
Purple represents acceptance of uncertainty
Lavender represents the difficulty understanding own gender
Grey-ish Blue represents gender ambiguity
Cyan / Sky Blue represents individuality with each person’s experience
Blue represents personal identity and defining themself

This isn’t made to replace the original Novigender flag, just another option!

Omnisexual/Genderqueer flag.

I wonder what ideas people may have for an omnisexual/gender queer combo flag? Something fun and festive. Looking for a possible tattoo from it. Also, can it avoid the pink shades in Omni or is that baaaaaaad🐑? Don't ask me why I added the sheep.

Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, I'm new here and Iwanted to share my new custom xenogender flag 🌌🌿🌸⭐️ and experiences!

I made my own custom pride flag! This is my first time doing anything like this. I am new to the LGBTQ+ community to some sense. I've been an ally for 2 years now (i never hated the lgbt even before that) and i have officially been a part of the LGBTQ for one month. I've faced a lot of hardships and i have nobody to rely on to support me. Despite the struggle, i stay strong and embrace myself. I'm still working on my name and pronouns, but I'm testing the name Val and Star, with the pronouns He/they/she and neopronouns star/stars/starself. I would absolutely love your input, whether it be encouragement, support, name ideas for the flag, testing my name and pronouns, or just vibes! I support everyone here! Now, onto what the flag represents.

This flag represents a unique xenogender identity rooted in both celestial (cosmic/space) and floral (nature/flower) elements. It is designed to capture the feeling of a vibrant, blooming garden growing under a vast night sky. For name ideas I have astroflora and moonpetal. Let me know your thoughts, and feel free to just say say hi! PLEASE ASK AS MANY QUESTIONS AS YOU WANT!

came up with a name & flag that fits me (Brightskygender)!

I haven't been able to find a term that fits my gender and gave up on trying years ago lol, but my brother recently suggested that I just make my own, so that's what I'm doing here.

Brightskygender: a gender that feels connected to the sky, white clouds, and the color light blue. (Also aligned with the Sanrio character Cinnamoroll because he comes from the sky and can fly, hence the "W" shape on the flag matching his mouth. He has a soft color palette.)

The pale blue background with the clouds represents the sky (ofc), the light yellow stripe represents joy and gender euphoria, the light pink stripe represents a detachment from binary genders, the darker blue stripe stands for security in one's identity, and the darker pink/salmonish-colored stripe represents connection and community support between people who identify with Xenogenders.

My gender feels very cloudy, but not dark clouds, more like fluffy white ones. The description of Cloudgender has to do with depersonalization/derealization. Pastelbluegender is closer, but doesn't include the cloud/sky feeling, and Skygender is described as "a gender that varies in clarity." Brightskygender encapsulates all the aspects that I haven't been able to find with other terms!

Twilight Girl (created by u/Fall_cat14)

u/Fall_cat14 asked me for help drawing the flag and requested that I post it here for them :)

Twilight Girl (noun / identity aesthetic): A gender identity that is anchored 50% in womanhood, while the remaining half is evenly split between masculine (25%) and non-binary (25%) energies. Like the twilight hour, it represents a specific, beautiful state where light dominates, but perfectly coexists with shadow and dusk

Pride Flag Redesigns

I decided to try redesigning pride flags from simply being horizontal bands, and I came up with some concept ideas. While the colors themselves have become iconic/symbolic, and the horizontal band theme provides consistency (people know they are looking at a pride flag), I feel like they all might appear too similar and generic if they are all horizontal bands, and people who are colorblind and have difficulty telling apart certain colors might have difficulty. With specific designs, people will have easier times remembering and distinguishing different pride flags instead of just having to memorize colors. I preserved the original color schemes as I think they are already iconic representations of their respective identities/communities, and so people with prior knowledge will already know what each flag represents. Also, the original pride flag can stay as horizontal bands, as it is the original, it is iconic and the most recognizable, and it is a natural phenomenon. Plus, if the more specific pride flags have their own non-horizontal band designs, then that makes the original pride flag more distinct in its simplicity and enhances its symbolism as something that is broad (like a rainbow stretching across the horizon) and all-inclusive, as opposed to the more specific flags.

Aromantic flag: The flag makes the shape of an arrow, which is a symbol of aromantic people, as "aro" (a shortened form of aromantic) sounds like "arrow." The colors mean the same things they do in the standard aromantic flag designed by Cameron Whimsy.

Asexual flag: The purple is symbolic of the asexual community, and the triangle is a reference to the logo of AVEN (the Asexual Visibility and Education Network), though it is flipped. The white-to-black gradient is similar to the one in the AVEN logo, and also represents the spectrum of asexual orientation. This gives it a resemblance to the letter A (for asexuality), and it can resemble a pyramid pointing to the sky, symbolizing boldness and progress.

Bisexual flag: The colored stripes represent similar things to what they do in the original bisexual flag. The pink stripe represents same-gender attraction, the blue stripe represents different-gender attraction, and the the purple stripe represents attraction regardless of gender or sex. It could also be interpreted as attraction to women, non-binary people, and men, similar to the pansexual flag. Since the flags are tilted, the top and bottom stripes become triangles, referencing the biangles symbol, while not directly including it as to not alienate those who do not want a connection with the Nazi-associated pink triangle. It A double crescent is a symbol of bisexuality, designed by Vivian Wagner, and I modified it into a circular moon with both a waxing and a waning crescent. Just as the phases of the moon wax and wane, so can sexual attraction, and as the phases of a moon are a spectrum, so too is sexuality. People can change the phase of the moon in order to best suit their personal identity. They can remove the blue or pink crescent, or they can increase or decrease the size of a crescent. For example, a man who is more attracted to men can have a variation of the flag where they increase the size of the pink stripe since they are more attracted to people of the same gender.

Lesbian flag: The modern standard lesbian flag was designed in 2018, an inverted version of a flag from 2017, and is known as the "sunset" flag, so I redesigned it to look more like a setting sun.

MLM flag: The standard MLM flag was designed in 2019, and is referred to as the "ocean gay flag," so I made the three bottom stripes wavy to symbolize ocean waves, and I added the symbol for Uranus as "uranian" is a word used to describe gay men. Also Uranus is the personification of the sky, and the top three stripes represent the sky over the ocean waves.

Non-binary flag: The flag itself is not binary, as it is divided into four sections, while binary is a system that writes all numbers as a combination of zero and one, so a binary flag would have only two colors. The flag is arranged as a quadrant to represent gender as a space with multiple dimensions. The circle in the center represents the circle in gender/sex symbols, and it has nothing attached to it to represent the fact that it is a formless template that can be modified to represent any different gender identities. It can be kept to be an agender symbol, or it can be modified into the asteroid symbol, the comet symbol, the genderfluid symbol, the male and female symbol, the transgender symbol, etc. People can modify the flag to align with their specific identity. The circle in the center is similar to the intersex flag, which I did not redesign because it is already not composed of horizontal bands. Note, I was looking at other pride flag redesigns and found that u/Locus8 made a similar redesign, this is a coincidence as I did not see their version before making mine, but I will still credit them.

Transgender flag: The background gradient represents the gender spectrum. Alternatively, it could also represent the spectrum of sex, and the center symbol would represent gender identity and how it can differ from sex assigned at birth. The center symbol is a circle split into three equal parts, representing male people, non-binary people, and female people. Since the parts are equal, it represents how all gender identities should be treated equally and should be marginalized. Trans males, trans females, and non-binary people should all be equally respected within the transgender community and so are given equal space. The way the parts curve from top to bottom can represent transitioning.

Finally, as the queer community is diverse and many people have multiple identities, this is accommodated in the fact that each flag has a unique background, color scheme, and symbol, which can be mix and matched to suit each individual person.

Vocorian spectrum!!

I wanted to share the vocorian gender spectrum that i've found somewhat recently, i really love these genders and i think a lot of you on here would to so i'm sharing them here :D

(Note that this explanation is basically word for word from the yb3 wiki, i'm keeping it as exact as possible as to not mess up any definitions)

Vocorian (1st image) is an umbrella term for genders related to the feeling of fullness, being strongly gendered, having a gender that is 'loud' or takes up a lot of space, and having a gender that feels intense or abundant. It's defined as being 'loud and proud' and having strong gendered feelings.

The main 5 categories for vocorian genders are:
volume: how 'loud' a gender feels
Density: how full or 'saturated' a gender feels
Multiplicity: how many gendered aspects or qualities there are
Expansiveness: how much space a gender takes up or how far it might expand

It's gender quality is vocorine (2nd image), genders that are vocorine-in-nature are called VOCINgenders (3rd image), the spectrum is called vociaspec (4th image) and vocorian-aligned is either vocoric (5th) or capellaen. (6th) capellaen id part of the galactian alignment system and is named after capella, the brightest star in the constellation auriga.

Now, onto some specific vocingenders!!

(7)Elatarian: a vocorian gender that encourages intense feelings of gender euphoria and pride

(8)Sonorian: a vocorian gender that is resonant and can echo. It may feel as if its presence repeats itself rather than just showing up once

(9)Plexarian: a vocorian gender that is made up of an uncountable number of parts or layers. Not the same as omni/pangender as plexarian is a singular gender made up of smaller parts

(10)Lusteraen: a vocorian gender that feels like
It lights up a room and stretches out in all directions in a way noticeable by all. It is meant to draw attention to oneself and take up space

(11)Amplarian: a vocorian gender whose fluctuates can fill a space. It might overtake one's multigender identity so that all genders have the same aspect or quality

Texas x Pride flag design

So, Austin Pride is in two weekends, and I finally got around to publishing a design I’d been toying with for a while. 🤠🏳️‍🌈🌟

This merging of the Texas + 2021 Pride flags into one kinetic design is intended to celebrate queer Texans, help folks to share both Texas pride + queer pride/support simultaneously, and raise some funds for the advocacy work of Equality Texas. (100% of seller profits are donated.)

Available so far on stickers, magnets, actual flags, usable as a phone wallpaper, and open to suggestions for printing on other products. More details in each product listing.

Fundraising Shop:

(All should ship within 2-5 business days, in time for Austin Pride weekend.)

You can read about the design rationale, donate directly to Equality Texas, or download the design for free here:

The designs are now complete, but I’m always open to constructive crit. 🤓

Enjoy, and take care of each other!

(I know this is closer to a mashup than a redesign, but in case anyone’s celebrating Austin Pride in two weekends, I wanted to get the word out in advance for shipping times.)

Jackalope trans man/trans masculine flag

Primary for trans men and transmascs who exclusively want to identify and present masculine and/or neutral*.* Made to look similar to the trans flag but replacing the pink because it's usually directly considered feminine.

Also I used baby blue instead of the slight cyan for aesthetic reasons.
