Genuinely what’s the point of this

Why give us a locked option to pick up a rifle if there is no other way to pick it up.

This probably the most useless feature in all of gaming

Does anyone else have "signature" kills with their Arthur?

Anytime I come across the Murffee brood, once I've killed them, I take time to take a shotgun and blow off their heads, arms at the elbows and legs at their knees. I like to imagine when others of the brood come across their mutilated corpses they're like "This guy again!!!!" and it invokes fear within them as if they are being hunted down.

Also anytime I come across them looting the dead bodies of the couple who were out for a picnic, I take the bodies of the couple and lie them side by side on the blanket, then take the Murffee bodies away from the scene and mutilate the corpses as described above.

Anyone else got weird signature kills or is it just me?

I have a problem with the weight system

The player tab shows I am overweight even though the weight loss core keeps showing up whenever I sleep and Arthur’s physical appearance is no longer overweight but average.

I keep eating big game meat and prime beef each in game day including chocolate bars and assorted salted offal and yet when I sleep the weight loss icon appears. No matter what I consume the game says that Arthur is losing weight even though the player tab clearly shows that I am overweight and that my stamina and health are affected by the “overweightness”.

I want to keep Arthur overweight for as long as possible physically.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how can I fix this?

Devastated.

So this is my first play through and I’ve been reading a lot of spoilers so I know what happens to Arthur. However the moment I got to chapter 5 and entered Saint Denis and he collapsed, I almost cried. I thought things were gonna go to shit in chapter 6. I wasn’t ready. Idk if I am ready to continue playing.

RDR2 in Minecraft

Me and my team of 2 others are recreating all of RDR2s map in Minecraft 1.21.11, this includes all terrain 1:1 imported through real game files, all trees in correct places using plugins and every building with interiors . This has been a huge undertaking but Im showing off our progress here. So far we have valentine, emerald ranch, the heartlands, the oil fields and bob crawfords house 100% complete. If you want more info or want to help DM me

It's my first playthrough , Just got to Roanoke Ridge ... WOW I think that's my new favorite part of the map now.

I think it's a very underrated part of the map... Never heard talking much about it. I'm playing slowly, I'm enjoying more camping outside and hunting and surviving rather than doing missions, I mean I try to balance the two of em.
So untill now I was living in the little hunter's cabin in West Elizabeth (amazing place) And thought that it was my fav place on the whole map, but after I got while exploring from grizzlies to roanoke just WOW, my mind exploded... what you think about this side of the map??
Maybe to me looks so familiar because it resembles very very much the place where I live here in italy.. humid, foresty, misty, suggestive place with a lot of waterfalls and same type of trees. ( both norther mountain part of Grizzlies East and Roanoke ridge looks like an exact copy of where I live. If i'm not wrong, Roanoke is the "real life Appalachia" . It's all so green and mysterious.

Found this old Sears ad that was obviously inspiration for the catalogues in RDR2

(I'm not from the US, so sorry if this is something that's painfully obvious to those who are)

I just stumbled across this and thought it was so cool to see that the developers took inspiration from real era-specific ads and flyers, especially the identical font on the price.

I do appreciate the level of detail that the game took to being era appropriate.

Rest in peace, dear Spirit. You were the greatest horse to ever live. You'll forever be missed, my friend.
