Y’all really sit on this forum & act like Candiace has said & done the worst on rhop. Not today, no ma’am!

This is a long one.

The narrative has always been that Candiace has the “nastiest mouth” on RHOP. My question is: how many of her infamous clapbacks actually happened without someone coming for her first?

Let’s start with Ashley aka the real evil nasty mouth cast mate.

Ashley repeatedly criticized Candiace’s finances, mocked the fact that her mother Dorothy helped support her, questioned her pageant accomplishments, talked sh*t about Chris and called her the least successful woman on the cast.

Later, Ashley also participated in helping to spread allegations involving Chris Bassett, giving support to Gizelle & Deborah’s claims and the storyline that he was inappropriate with them.

When Ashley was in labor with her first child, people love bringing up Candiace calling her a “roach and bed wench”.  What they conveniently leave out is that Ashley started the back and forth tweets first. Once again talking about  Candiace and her mother Dorothy while she was in labor! Candiace responded without knowing Ashley was actively giving birth. Ashley was more worried about trying to drag Candiace instead of pushing that baby out.

Now we can dissect the roach and bed wench comments but Candiace said on her podcast she called her a roach because Ashley called her a hamster. And she called Ashley a bed wench because Michael controls every single aspect of that marriage and that she was dependent on him for her lifestyle and had to take all of his sh*t.

Y’all really sit in these threads acting like the sh*t Candice has said is the most vile and unhinged things when Ashley has done the following:

-Told Charisse to get over crying about her divorce and insinuated that Charisse was a drunk. But when Ashley was going through her divorce she wanted people to be respectful and give her time and space to process.

-Suggested Monique’s drinking may have contributed to her miscarriage and she might have a problem with alcohol and that’s why she crashed her Bentley, not because she was sleepy.

-Was being messy regarding Wendy and Eddies marriage by bringing up the cheating rumors and insinuating that Wendy got her body done to compete with the women Eddie really desired.

-Told Katie she should stop using “what’s between her legs” to find love and questioned whether Katie was mentally stable enough to be around the group while Katie was publicly struggling mentally.

-Body shamed Charisse and called her a walrus with T-Rex arms.

-Exposed Robyn and Juan Dixon’s financial problems, showing documents where they only had $25 to their name (season 1); and Robyn was about to beat her ass.

-Called Karen a “broke Tina Knowles” and mocked Ray’s finances (calling him the broke bill gates) and said his penis was dry.

-Called Candiace hamster face and made fun of her hair (calling it dry).

-Mocked Karen and told her that she was married to a real millionaire and if Ray is nice he could possibly ask for a loan from Michael

Yet Ashley never gets labeled as having a mouth and doing evil things.

What’s interesting is what Candiace didn’t say.

Since Ashley has such a hard on for Candiace mom (she constantly brought her up during her attacks towards Candiace)…Candiace could have repeatedly mocked Ashley’s difficult upbringing and really got nasty:

-How she was born from a trick that turned into a pregnancy.

-How her father threatened to call the cops on her for showing up at his door.

-How Ashley’s mother was living in a tent under a bridge with her drug addicted baby daddy.

-Ashley’s mama having (3) kids with (3) baby daddies

-How Michael was playing daddy to Ashley and her mama and had financial control over them.

Instead, Candiace’s insults generally focused on Ashley herself and Ashley continued to target Candiace and her loved ones.

I’m not arguing Candiace doesn’t have a mouth on her. She does. Just like all the other women who are housewives shows. The thing that I notice with RHOP is that this is the only franchise where the women get so upset for how their castmates respond to their bullshit.

Meaning, you can’t start sh*t with me and then dictate how I respond. If you know I got a mouth on me and you cry every time I use it…how about you leave me alone?

Y’all were the same ones cheering on Porsha for pulling Kenya’s hair when Kenya called her a dumb hoe; y’all were laughing your asses off when Nene called Claudia a half breed…but y’all clutching your pearls at Candiace calling Ashley wide body and roach.

People remember the response (Candiace) and conveniently forget the provocation (Ashley) because Ashley has said and done far worse.

You don’t have to like Candiace to acknowledge that she’s often judged differently than other Housewives who have said equally cruel or arguably worse things.

I can remember one of the nastiest comments from RHOP was when Gizelle told Karen that Ray would be 6feet under aka dead before her looks faded away.

Gizelle, Robyn and Ashley dragged Karen for in their words “grieving too much or too long over her parents death”.

Gizelle said Karen had a hot box and that Ray penis was broken.

Karen said Gizelle had an std and had to be committed to a mental hospital.

Gizelle told the world that Ray was trying to get with her friend Erica Lyles.

Coming for peoples marriages and health is okay but y’all draw the line at Candiace calling Ashley big face.
Ok

This is still one of the most disgusting scenes i have ever seen on Bravo\reality TV

And i say this as someone who does not really like Ashley that much. I think she is an instigator and a coward.

But to body shame a woman so egregiously after giving birth is just a new low i can NEVER respect.

Candiace is a foul human being and genuinely i don't understand how people can like her after this scene.

Yeeah, she goes against evil Gizelle, but Candiace is just as evil or even worst in some ways.

Potomac is a franchise just full of low down women that the fans have to choose sides between the less of two evils.

Candiace and Gizelle are those evils.

Liking Candiace cuz you don't like Gizelle is dumb and stupid, they both trash for different reasons and its ok to acknowledge that.

EDIT: Candiace is also openly attacking Ashley's kids looks in interviews recently. This 40 + yr old grown woman is patheetic and needs to go tf away

Gordon Bipolar Diagnosis (Reunion)

Hi everyone, so I am a new viewer to Potomac and normally I don’t comment on things.

However something concerned me and I wonder if at the time anything was said. I have tried to Google it but everything goes to his bravery on speaking about his diagnosis - which is important and I completely agree!

What concerned me was he said something along the lines of having Bipolar 1 and if there was a Bipolar 2, 3, 4 he would have them too. Firstly, it makes it sound like there is no such thing as Bipolar 2, which there is. But also, it’s like they have tried to mould them into one and now possibly diminishes those with different types.

Did anyone comment or correct what he said?

the Monique and Candiace fight

I'm rewatching and the fight is still my favorite part. Candiace deserved all of that ass whooping tbh. Robin and Gizelle treating Monique like she's a thug, but you can't keep provoking people and expect them to sit back.

No one loves Wendy like Wendy loves Wendy.

I am an architect with two masters degrees but I would never think to weaponize my education in an argument to talk down to someone or to make them feel bad for not having as much education as I do 🙃 that doesnt even any sense. Especially if my platform was supposedly to uplift and empower women.

And btw... I know plenty of people with all kinds of degrees who are still dumb as shit. Degrees are important but they only mean so much about a person. They don't mean you're a good person. They don't mean you have any common sense. And they don't even mean you're a captain of your industry... just means you passed some form of education about the industry so when you graduate and start working in it as entry level, real knowledge can take effect to eventually get you real wisdom and experience.

How Would You Rank Cycles 1-19 Based on Tyra's Overall Panel Looks?

Putting this together was a lot of work lmao, but I've wanted to make a post like this for a while.

Here's my ranking:

  1. Cycle 13: I love the straight dark hair on her. Definitely the most gorgeous I've seen her.

  2. Cycle 10: Stunning. Love both the fringe look and the rich, soft curls she got later.

  3. Cycle 6: She is just glowing every panel.

  4. Cycle 7: I enjoy the big curls a lot!

  5. Cycle 11: Love the little black riding hood🖤

  6. Cycle 3: The era of Tyra's signature red hair. I'm sad she never went back to red in later cycles or in life.

  7. Cycle 15: If somebody asked me to describe Tyra's looks from this cycle from memory, I would SWEAR she had straight, shoulder-length hair the entire cycle. Only when making these did I realise her hair was curly most of the time. Very gorgeous.

  8. Cycle 14: Kind of clean and simple, and I love it.

  9. Cycle 8: Not crazy about that colour, but I love the head scarf look.

  10. Cycle 9: The straight hair with the fringe is nice, but not nearly as great as cycle 10.

  11. Cycle 2: The most early-2000s imo.

  12. Cycle 12: I wanna like this more than I actually do. The hair being wavy like that doesn't fully work for me.

  13. Cycle 5: Beautiful but not the most memorable.

  14. Cycle 18: I barely have an opinion of these looks. They're good but nothing special.

  15. Cycle 17: Some of the best makeup she has, but one of my least favourite hairstyles.

  16. Cycle 16: The painful beginning of Tyra's hairstyle that I dislike.

  17. Cycle 19: Hit or miss. The pink dress hurts my eyes. Towards the end, in Jamaica, Tyra's hairstyle almost looks like a throwback to her glorious cycle 10 curls in Italy. But her hair looks dry and tired, and it's a very weak version of the look.

  18. Cycle 4: Soccer mom.

  19. Cycle 1: I don't hate it, but it's just the absolute least distinct or memorable of Tyra's looks. If I close my eyes, I can't recall any of them.

So what is your ranking?

I hope one day that someone loves me like Michael loves Juan.

Isn't that all that any girl could ever ask for? Okay, well maybe some better looks, less kinky weirdness, more faithfulness, and less overall general awkwardness...

It should be ILLEGAL to be allowed to sing for your tagline 🙉

No one give this idea to Countess Luann, Kim, or any of the other HWs who firmly believe they can sing. Only The Braxton sisters can get away with this and have it be enjoyable.

I know people don't like Wendy or Candiace, but i do think they were always valid about colorism being present in the group dynamics

And i say this as smth done unintentionally, but the bias is THERE.

Becouse when Mia or Robyn get angry and physically confrontational its treated as smth funny and a mishap, but when Wendy or Candice who act got physically attacked get blamed and ridiculed

Lets also not forget Gizelle and Ashley use words like aggressive and angry to describe Wendy and Candiace but never Mia or Robyn.

They get called out, Gizelle pulls the 'I went to a Black school' and Robyn cries instead of actually LISTENING or bring mindful.

You cannot neglect how you can come across to the audience and the dark skin cast mates simply by saying you don't think you are. how about actually listening???????

I think Wendy was right that the group don't have the range to discuss this topic as some of the ladies dont want to actually own their DOUBLE STANDARDS

And the fact that this conversation does not get talked about enough goes to show just how little colorism talks matters in most communities vs racism.

It might not be as talked about, but its def still as disgusting.

Mia and Robyn NEVER got held accountable for their aggressive behavior by most of the other ladies TO THIS DAY

This only goes to prove just how right Wendy and Candiace was about this topic, and its one of the biggest reasons as a dark skin person that i WILL NEVA EVA like Gizelle, Ashley, Mia or Robyn.

rewatching rhop - szn 4

gizelle was absolutely obsessed and jealous of Monique lmfao. it was extremely weird tbh.

I'm watching the scene when Robin had an open house at the home she had just rehabbed, Monique tried to greet her as soon as she walked in, gizelle immediately became nasty with Monique in front of potential buyers.

AT HER FRIEND'S OPEN HOUSE! NASTY.

This is the Candiace I miss when she is being funny and not taking folks too seriously.

She also looks good in this vid, which is nice departure from some of here recent styling choices, but someone did tell her in the comments to stop with the lashes 😆 and she replied in a fun way to them. If she ever returns, she needs to just let Stacey be her mentor and how to not sweat her opps and actually make them madder by being unbothered.

What season does Potomac start to drop off?

Frankly, pretty much every franchise drops off around 8 or 9, but it's always a bum to see it. When does this happen to Potomac?

Why do people say Gizelle has no iconic/memorable moments?

Number 1 for me is obviously the FREE UNCLE BEN/TAX REFORM tshirts at Karen’s “press” conference.

Number 2 is her and Cal messing with Charisse’s kitchen and opening all the drawers—-

But I also loved this moment (that never stuck with viewers) with the napkin holder during her argument with Karen in New Orleans. The whole table was laughing too.

What are your favorite Gizelle moments? And why do you think her moments are not as memorable as other housewives from different cities?
