Kickstarter Advice for a New Smart Home Light App

Hello, I am on the team for LUXION, a bio-sensory lighting app that connects to Phillips Hue bulbs and smart watches to adjust the lighting in spaces based on your body's current state (heightened, at rest, etc.). We will be starting a Kickstarter, and I want to know the best way to promote it to interested users. Have you had success with Kickstarter or similar crowdfunding? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as we develop this technology and share this concept we have been working on for a while now.

NHIS Insurance Double Billed?

I have insurance covered by my company. I switched companies from the end of February to March. Due to the holiday, my new start day was March 3rd. I received a health insurance bill for the entire month of March from NHIS and haven't again. My company assures me that they paid my insurance since March. They called and NHIS said due to the two day gap from February and March, they charge me personally for the "gap in insurance." Is this right? Can I appeal? Has this ever happened to you?

My only 2 issues with the Devil Wears Prada 2:

  1. SEQUINS!!!!! Why did every outfit have sequins? No, like EVERY outfit had sequins. Why?
  2. The end line should have been Anne Hathaway saying “that’s all.”

The question from Miranda Priestly was something like “Anything else?” and it would have KILLED to hear the iconic That’s All. While it is second best to mirror the first ending with “Go”, “Go” is not really as memorable. I would have died if Anne said “that’s all.”

Otherwise, a very enjoyable movie! I highly recommend.

I look pretty young for 30, but I have just started noticing one or two lines on my forehead. I know it sounds dramatic, but it does bother me. Friends say they don't see anything (maybe because they're friends) but I scheduled botox before my birthday and then cancelled it because I'm worried about the Spock brow, bruising, etc.

Should I wait for Botox a little longer, or start right now to be more preventative? How can I avoid Spock brow and just flatten the few lines I have?

I already use wrinkle cream and moisturizer, and I did three Rejuran treatments, but I want to try alternatives because I also feel weird about injecting this into my face over many years. I don't want to create a habit I later regret. P.S. I live in Korea. Thank you so much!

Focused on skincare, color analysis for your wardrobe, and full reports to address your personal skin and body concerns, we have developed Venus to help people glow up in 2026.

From personalized programs to expert skincare and color consultations, we are focused on Korean skincare, connecting you with a real network of Korean doctors in Seoul through 1:1 consults, and scanning your face to find the root causes of your biggest skin issues.

Our app was not always like this. It started as a simple product page with a basic face scan, but there was no connection to detailed reports or personalized programs that map out what you need to do and when you need to do it. The onboarding was also a little time consuming, so we cut way down on the process to deliver exactly what you are looking for.

Personalization is also key. Especially in skincare, it is definitely not a one-size-fits-all. With different skin colors and textures, our engineers have worked for months to get the proprietary face scan just right to deliver trustworthy recommendations. And because we are not doctors, we connect you with the real ones who can give the proper advice.

Venus is free to use for your full skin report, so we hope you can give it a try and see what you think: https://venus-labs.io

Sincerely, Venus

Hi, everyone! For my university capstone project, I am doing research on what collections hold the most value to you, and what you have collected over the years.

Could you please respond with what you collect, how many years you have been collecting it, and why it holds meaning to you?

Thank you so much!
