Has anyone ever gone to a concert solo?

I am attending my first RUFUS DU SOL concert and also my first solo concert. I am so excited to see them live, and I wanted to have an authentic and memorable experience. So, the thought of dragging a friend along, trying to convince them how good the music is, and then worrying the whole time if they're having fun, just seemed like I'd waste the experience. I've introduced friends to new music before and brought them to live shows. But, always end up wondering if I would have enjoyed it more going by myself. So. I'm doing it. From what I've noticed, this is such a friendly community with positive vibes. But. I'm curious, has anyone ever gone solo and what was your experience like? Any advice for me, as a single woman? I will be sober and I know how to be aware of my surroundings. I'm strong and know how to defend myself. So, none of that is a concern. Just curious what the concert atmosphere is like, and if it will be awkward for the solo girl who isnt afraid to dance and vibe out by herself.

IMPORTANT INFO:

  • The Vantage Bridge will be under construction until 2028. Get updated info HERE
  • No Chairs are allowed in the venue. Prepare to rent your chair. As of this post, I wasn't able to find a current link for chair rentals.
  • Get to the venue right when parking opens even if you have to get there and just hang out. You don't want to get stuck in traffic any later than that
  • If you need to make arrangement for parking/shuttle, do it immediately. That way, you will get the most options. Reserving the day-of is very stressful and never guaranteed
  • Drink A TON of water before you get there. Make it a priority to stay hydrated
  • Bring earplugs (for those camping) mosquito spray, a light jacket and a very comfortable pair of walking shoes. It's incredibly hot during the day and surprisingly cold after the sun sets.
  • If you plan on camping, bring corkscrew stakes for your tents and sunshades. Those will give you the best results out there.

Good luck with your plans and please reach out to us if you have any other questions, we're local and love to help!

Art

Finally found a place where I could share this, it was painted by an artist in Colombia. I gave the artist freedom to make the colors more vibrant than the original song artwork to make the place feel more alive. Next to me is one of my favorite songs and I dedicated it to my ex gf, which is when I had this made for what use to be our place, now I am not sure whether to keep it as it always reminds me of her. What do y’all think? Keep it? Give it away? Paint over it? Try to sell it?
