I've done a lot of research and my battery is different than the older model version. This does not have the standard fuse. It's a solder type fuse. Won't charge anymore. A year ago after winter I charged it to half. Rode it. Came back. Put on charger. Few days came back and it was flat and didn't take a charge anymore. Anymore have experience with this , and this model of battery ?
I recently wanted to sell it for financial purposes, but I am new to this selling thing, and so wanted to have other's opinion on the bike.
The bike can still run normally and hit 20 miles, it has a modded double battery, with the second battery resting on the back fender and held in place by a rubber rope.
There are a lot of duck tapes on it too, since the modding process wasn't pretty.
And the back fender lost a screw that held it up, and so I had to use a zip tie and some tight plastic strings to hold it up.
I don't expect the price to be high, since the batteries look ugly in the eyes.
Other than aesthetics, it still runs like it should.
Hey folks! My RadRunner+ and I have been on many a journey over the last few years. Unfortunately, my mileage has reset twice now since I purchased the bike and I have no idea how. I’ll get up to a certain point and then the bike just seems to forget about the mileage and resets to zero. My best guess is that I’m currently at around 4000kms but my mileage is at ~900.
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Bought a lightly used Radmini 4 and I've paid for it twice over now with flat repairs.
Personally, I live somewhere that people have developed a hobby of scattering debris of all sorts in every bike lane they can find. It seems to me that I dodge the majority of it, and then BAM, after seemingly running over nothing but pavement, I've got a flat.
I know this isn't Radpower specific at all, but I'm less likely to get brigaded by a-holes here than a random bike sub.
I bought a rad power wagon 5 last summer in 2025 before there as a risk of it going bankrupt.
I’ve had good experiences with my bike, but I’m also not sure I’d buy another expensive bike from rad.
Would any out here buy a cheaper bike from them still?
My partner can’t keep up to us when we’re cruising because he has an aluminum bike.
So I’ve been thinking about getting the rad kick that’s $1900 CAD.

I'm trying to find a place to recycle/get rid of the faulty battery. I've contacted so many places but no one takes them.
REI, local bike shops (called 20 around me), contacted the rad retail stores listed on their own website NO LUCK, called my towns DPW they aren't licensed to take e-bike batteries.
I've checked out batterynetwork.org, earth911.com, some private companies. NO ONE WILL TAKE THIS DAMN THING!
Does anyone have CONFIRMED info? I want to get rid of this thing ASAP.
I haven’t used my rad power bike in awhile, I called a shop today to have it serviced so I can use it this summer and was alarmed when they told me that they wouldn’t allow it in their store due to the battery issue.
I went home and immediately did research and holy moly, am a bit alarmed. I confirmed my bike has the affected model number RP-1304.
I plan to purchase their newer battery that’s on back order, but am also hesitant to invest more money into this situation.
Mine has no rain damage, never been dropped, less than 500 miles. I don’t want to store it in the house due to the safety issue now. I will be leaving it in the shed but the temp here in boston will reach 100 plus degrees this week which is also concerning.
2 questions:
Is anyone using their existing effected battery/will continue to just use it/keep it?
Any thoughts on how I could safely store this outside with summer temps around the corner?
So I have a rad rover 6 plus I bought back in July of 21.
I just did a 25 mile ride on a local trail and when I got to the hill at the end I started getting noise from the motor in the rear wheel.
I had it on pas 5 in 2nd gear. If I put it down to pas 2 it didn't make the noise. But even in a straight section its making noise now if I raise the pas to 4 or 5 or use throttle.
Anyone heard of this? Is the motor toast, or the gearing stripped.
I went and swapped out my brakes over the last two days. front brakes + rotor and just the brakes for the back. I used a pre bled kit and ended up running the host to the back brakes around the frame and not through it. I'll probably get around to bleeding and re running the lines at some later date.
Overall the process was not super hard. It just takes time and a lot of muscle to get the grips off. Took the bike for a 50km ride today and the brakes are better for sure. I'm also looking forward to only needing to replace the pads in the future. The stock brakes constantly needed adjustment and I no longer felt safe with them and I'm glad I've switched the brakes out. I'll report back if I see any issues over the next year.
Hello all, i have to rad bikes; at a garage sale i saw someone had a newer looking battery for sale. Owner said it kept blowing the 10amp fuse. She sold it for $5!
I checked both fuses, theyre currently fine. Got a mew charger for it, and its now fully charged. The status battery lights up and shows a full charge.
When i install the battery is doesnt light up the bike screen at all, ive checked the pins, port for signs of looseness damage or debris but its seemingly clear.
Anyone else have any ideas? Id love to get this one working and have a second battery for the cost of almost just the charger

I just bought the new battery because my battery has been died and luckly the new battery seems to work well with my Rad Runner 6 plus which I disassembled to identify the root cause.
But I just noticed that the new battery is required to charge with new charger... I want to refund everything.
I hear there were some battery issues, so I can't ignore the below warning. What do you think?

The rad rover, 6 plus battery had gotten down to one bar, so I took it out of the bike, brought it into the house, plugged the charger into the wall, and the charger, and it was showing the green, solid light. Then, I plugged the charger into the battery still showed one bar on the battery, but the charger started flashing a red blinky light. So I unplugged everything to the battery back out to the bike, turned the bike on. Looking for any error codes? There were no error codes, but I did notice the LED stack for the strength of the battery on the handlebar meter. First, it showed a blinking bar, a blinking segment of the bar, then the second light came on. And they both went solid. But now I don't know what to do. Since I plugged it all back in inside the house. And the charger's just blinking red any advice.Please.Thank you

I have a radrunner 1 with an aftermarket Area 13 controller on it. I’m getting sensor errors and want to replace the controller.
Any suggestions on aftermarket controllers? Will an OEM rad power bike controller work with the aftermarket display?
All, I am at an impasse. I have an older Rad Runner plus and a Rad Mini 4. Both bikes are in okay shape and batteries that should be replaced. Do I get new safeshield batteries for them or do I sell both and use the money for a new bike? We don't use the third bike that often, but it has been nice on a couple of occasions.
On a similar note, anyone have any experiences with the Runner Max or similar?
I recently acquired a pair of RadRhino 5 ebikes which have been neglected for dinner time. I had hoped that there would be enough good parts to save one of them. One has a dead display but the other powers up and turns on fine. After that it has some very bizarre behaviour. I have disconnected the PAS sensor and the throttle will work some of the time (sometimes no motor output at all). The brakes correctly stop the motor but after a couple of minutes the motor will run continuously unless the brake is pressed. I assumed the throttle was on the blink but the spare throttle does the same thing. I also swapped out the controllers and it has the same behaviour as well. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this. I have a spare everything from the other bike.
