Renal Function Assessment Prior to IV Contrast Administration.

Hi everyone. To CT techs, I'm curious as to what your department or facility's policy is regarding creatinine results for patients who are going to undergo imaging exams with IV Contrast. Medyo magkakaiba ata kasi. And also new guidelines are being published. Another thing I'm curious is if you require fasting for non-abdomen contrast exams. And lastly for patients taking metformin.

The images I posted is from the 2026 ACR Manual on Contrast Media published by the American College of Radiology. Does you Department or Facility adhere to this guidelines.?

RadTech or OT?

I’m currently a g11 student and I’m considering a lot of programs for college, all of which are essentially in the medical field or health allied. I think Radtech is interesting, but my main prio has always been occupational therapy—however RadTech is making me reconsider that. The main problem is parang ang baba talaga ng sahod ng Radtech dito sa ph eh. Mas worth it ba mag OT kesa sa Radtech? 🥹

Help me decide guys😭😭😭

Hello guys! I need your help deciding po. I’m currently working na sa a private hospital, and I’m rotating between 3 modalities. Okay naman po yung environment and I’m actually happy with my work. The only downside is that sakto lang din po yung salary.

Now, nag-email yung dream hospital ko, which is St. Luke’s, offering me an opportunity but X-ray lang yung modality.

So now I’m torn kasi I really want to work at St. Luke’s, pero I’m also thinking about my growth and the experience I’m currently getting from being exposed to 3 modalities.

If you were in my situation, would you take the opportunity sa dream hospital kahit X-ray lang, or stay muna sa current hospital because of the wider modality exposure?
