Hey everyone! I cover Georgia Tech Football for The League Winners. I just wrapped up a press conference with defensive line coach Jess Simpson and some defensive lineman as well. Here were some key takeaways for me.
I’m personally fine with this. We lost too much personell to crack the top 25, but I’m glad we’re at least getting consideration. Something to build on.
UGA is the only competitive one at home. (Not that their home non-con was any better) but other than that should be a complete cakewalk in Atlanta.
They probably need the early confidence boosters with how they played last season.
They’ll probably get killed Florida but Butler is a good measuring stick on neutral floor.
Cal really ramping up NIL money, but GT rich alums just not as interested in sports. Any idea why?
First before I ask my question I gotta say I'm pretty excited about the game more excited then when we came down last year and played in mercedes benz stadium
Also I think your stadium is really cool seeing seeing downtown ATL and the stadium is nice in general!

My personal thoughts is that 2026 will be a transitional year, or an “in between” year if you will. We lost a lot of guys from last year and with two new coordinators there will be a lot of unknown. Mendoza is getting a lot of hype but for all we know he could be Zach Gibson 2.0 However, our running back room will be spectacular and we should at least be competitive. I have us at 7-5.
