I've never had venison raw or cooked but I want to experience it raw first. I live in a place with deer but I'm not sure if I should kill them or not. Also could I just get some at the grocery store? What quality does it need to be?
A coworker gave me a raw pork chop that he put in plastic himself like it would be in a store. I'm thinking I'm gonna eat it tonight, but could there possibly be any risk to this? I don't know where he got the meat from, or the whole story behind it. I would think it's probably safe, he wouldn't hand these out if he knew they were bad, and he seems like the kinda guy that would know a lot of (often random) stuff. But I'm just unsure.
