Can I play this game until the end game?
I heard that the game is going to be hard to run in the end game but i want to try it so much

Hello! It's been a few months since I last posted about my progress but I've finally returned. I just posted a new chapter to my substack which you can find here:
https://anvilindustriesksp.substack.com/p/upgrades-people-upgrades
Since it's been a while, here is the previous chapter. And if you haven't read anything yet, I recommend starting with the first chapter here.
Apologies for spamming all these links.
Let me know what you think, either here or over on Substack. I'm happy to chat ^^
Saturn V rocket orbital test in the Real Solar system/Realism Overhaul mods!
I’m going to do an Apollo 8 mission next, likely tomorrow 🥹😼
Quality is kind of shitty, sorry. Tried to upload to my phone so I could post, it‘ll be much clearer next time 😔
Why are my lunar probes not connecting at KSC and the tracking station, even without blocking, no time warp, and there are available antennas on the probes and the station? However, communication works when I control those probes; this bug only affects lunar and near-Earth probes.
quality is kind of shitty cause i decided to use my phone taking pictures of my monitor instead of using snipping tool
thought it’d be cool to share to anyone who likes space or ksp
rocket took about 3 hours to build, playing in sandbox mode
in normal Kerbal Space Program, everything is scaled down about 10x. i’m using the real solar system and realism overhaul mods which makes everything real scale
I found this gem while just randomly searching for anything interesting on CKAN. I'm actually surprised no one's talking about it. It's literally what it says it is; an auto pilot for landing and an auto pilot for reentry. I haven't had the time to try it out, but I know everyone else would love to know something like this exists. It uses kOS scripts. You apparently don't need to know much about kOS to use these, just a few commands to call the script and a few things to do while running it. Check it out!!!!
I am just getting back into RO after some years away and wanted to address the gap in crewed programs between crewed lunar and crewed Mars as I quite like the crew management aspects (is a game really worth playing if you can't turn it into a spreadsheet). So I am working on a program/mission pack for Mir/ISS style modular stations.
Since I'm using it in my save and I still haven't gotten around to that time period (still in 1964 and just getting to unmanned lunar landings) I haven't gotten a chance to play test it but wanted to see if folks are interested. If there is interest happy to dump it into GitHub for folks to play around with, also would love to get some feedback or suggestions.
Attached a screenshot of the programs for the rough outline
Orbiting Earth at 2x Scale takes 13k Delta V
And a TLI is 4440 Delta V
Also this mod doubles only the Orbit sizes, Radius of planets and moons, and atmosphere height
I have been doing some research on optimal openings for RO and I think the best move is a large diameter sounding rocket(V2 type). You delay your first launch by 4 months launching in June 51 but you can hit first launch, karman line, suborbital return, first film, and pretty much any sounding rocket contract with that rocket.
Whereas with a small sounding rocket(Meteor/Aerobee) you get more launches in the first year but you can only really achieve first launch and karman line.
Anyone have other ideas?
If you want a realistic cryogenic effect and maximum launch immersion, you need to check out KerbalFrost by Manu93cxz.
It dynamically generates that dense cryogenic boil-off vapor venting from the tanks, builds up procedural frost while waiting on the pad, and then beautifully shatters the ice into flying fragments upon ignition.
KerbalFrost is available on CKAN, GitHub and SpaceDock.
Also, huge thanks to Manu93cxz for bringing this awesome feature back to life!
Hello!
I’ve been having a bit of an issue with MechJeb2 in RP-1 lately.
When I launch a rocket manually, it responds normally to my controls and doesn’t seem to have any major stability problems. However, as soon as I let MechJeb take control, either through PVG Ascent Guidance or Smart A.S.S. in Surface mode, the rocket sometimes starts rolling uncontrollably. It may begin rolling to the left shortly after launch, and later it can also start rolling to the right.
Has anyone else experienced this? I’m not sure whether this is a MechJeb/RP-1 bug, something related to how my rocket is built or configured, or just a quirk of the control system.
Hey guys! I wanted to post this here! This is a documentary I made on USC’s Rocket Propulsion Lab’s race against time to launch their world record breaking launch to outer space back in 2024! The club is run entirely by undergraduate college students from ages 18-22 and were the first ever student group to send a rocket into space in 2019. For anyone who’s interested in amateur rocketry or aerospace, this documentary is for you. Hope you enjoy!
it immediately starts pitching to 0 after going up about 500 meters which causes me to burn up in the atmosphere. how do i fix this lmao
i already reset it and tried launching with all the other settings but they just break it in new and exciting ways
I’ve been playing KSP for almost 600 hours and I feel like I’m ready for a new challenge. The only issue is that even after doing a bunch of research and fighting with the game. I can’t find a good mod list that A) looks good and B) doesn’t result in the entire game breaking and crashing. I want to be able to launch historical rockets like the Saturn V, space shuttle and even some Russian rockets. If I can have some good recommendations that would be awesome, thank you!
