Max Verstappen on Time Square, New York

A special gift from Chinese fans of Max Verstappen celebrating 10 years since Max first win.

Given his upbringing, How does Max Verstappen not have any mental health issues?

Excuse me for the way the question his phrased but here is some info:

Max started karting when he was 4 years old (on average 3-4 years younger). He would always keep pushing himself for hours. During monsoon or winter months, he would keep karting until his hands froze while kids his age had a better light/laid-back life than him. Even in his early F1 years, many did not look at him nicely.

I understand that his dad was also very rough on him since day 1, but I am curious to know how does Max cope so well. Often times, people with such competitive and toxic backgrounds tend to have mental health issues. He has grown immensely as a person as he is less angry, more mature, and so nice to his fans.

Is Red Bull bringing any upgrades to Canada?

I’ve seen a lot mentioned about McLaren’s upgrades for this weekend, so I was just wondering if anyone has heard about Red Bull.

One of the moments when only razor sharp reaction saved Max and the Aston.

Juncadella on the possibilities of reuniting for Nurburgring again ft. F1

Host: Will you gather the gang again next year?

Dani: Well, it will depend on a lot of things. I think Max wants that, but he hasn’t told us whether or not it will happen. I know Max wants to return [to the 24H of Nürburgring], but he hasn’t told us if that’s going to happen or not. I don’t know. Maybe Formula 1 will decide to schedule a race on the same weekend as Nürburgring.

Host: I can see that happening.

Dani: No, of course, because of all the talks about how successful this [type of racing] is versus Formula 1 with the new regulations. Maybe they will take it as “okay, I will schedule a Formula 1 race weekend at the same time as Nürburgring”, so then what? What happens? Of course, I want to believe it won’t be like that, but yeah. What I want to say is that Max’s top priority is Formula 1 right now, not Nürburgring. Yeah, it is his dream to race and win in Nürburgring, but yeah. I would like to see what would happen if they [F1] do that, what would Max decide? Because I know he wants to race at Nürburgring again. Let’s see. I think that if he decides to race it again, the gang should reunite.

Juncadella on what happened to #3

Dani Juncadella: "I came out of the pits and everything felt normal. After about a third of the lap I saw an ABS fault message that kept flashing on and off. I reset the message and that was fine, but then I realised the ABS wasn't working.

"I was driving without ABS, but it wasn't actually that bad, I could somehow manage it and adjusted the brake balance a bit to prevent the front tyres from locking up. The car was still controllable.

"I had the feeling they wanted me to come in to find the problem. But I thought it was better to keep going and maybe figure out what we could do. Then I started hearing noises. Eventually the car became undrivable, of course. At one point I felt something was going to break."

"I drove slowly back to the pits and we found a problem with the driveshaft. That then caused extra collateral damage to the rest of the car. That probably also caused the issue where the electronics went haywire and the ABS was switched off."

"We have repaired the car and I will drive the last two laps to check if the car is okay and to reach the finish."

"Of course it's heartbreaking, because we had a great race. We had a perfect race. I've been dreaming for a very long time of winning this race, so today it hurts."

"Tomorrow we're just drivers again. We do our sport. We love our sport, but in the end racing is like this."

"There are many things you can't control. It can hurt on a day like this, but it doesn't have to remain a big drama for very long. We'll be back next year."

"I think it was just something unlucky. It's a mechanical problem. The driveshaft was completely new."

"We drove very carefully in the last six or seven hours, because both cars were in a very good position. There was no reason to take extra risks. We didn't abuse the kerbs, we were just careful."

Italian commentators reaction with audible disbelief when Max Verstappen executed a daring and aggressive overtake on the grass during the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. (You don't need to speak Italian to understand 😍)
