r/RedRobin

Ariana Dzerchenko
I'm reading Robin 1993 and I'm currently at around chapter 45, I know Steph will be the endgame ship but I can't help but find Ari way more endearing than her.
Although she's drawn with light skin I'm pretty sure she's supposed to, at the very least, look a little ethnically ambiguous and with her being Ukrainian it's not unrealistic for her to have a more eastern European complexion, I believe that's the case because of Tims reaction to her dying her hair blonde and saying something along the lines of "they (the popular students) find her pretty now but I always thought she was beautiful" and I thought that was supposed to mean her whitewashing herself to fit in (and because she thinks Tim likes blondes more) and that's why Tim was so upset about it.
Anyway I think she's a little more sympathetic than Stephanie since so far Stephanie has kissed tim a Total of 3 times when he clearly didn't want it while Ari has so far been pretty respectful about his boundaries and accepted it when he didn't want to do something although she does tend to be pretty hot headed and jumps to conclusions quickly which clearly has to do with her family which seems to be a scream first ask questions later/never kind of household and Tim actually had a very good influence on her in that regard being patient and explaining things calm and measured. So I'm kinda worried about what might happen to her once Tim is gone and no longer there to ground her.
So uhm Ari YAY!
I hope she comes back later on and we see what happened to her without Tim

What's up with Absolute Tim Drakes
So I know i'm not the only who's noticed this but what's up with Tim's with the red hand print on his mecha helmet? Like we don't see in Absolute Batman #20, but since it's on a buch of variant covers it's safe to say he'll get hand prints later on. My theory is that Bruce get's injured in fight with the Robins and uses his blood to wipe it on Tim's helement blind him during the fight.
What do you guys think is going with the red hand print?

A survey on the ships YOU like in the Batfam!
This is purely out of curiosity. No personal data is collected, and you’ll be able to see the results at the end! Take it here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfmUdedZlnTCiT-oWC\_uYDA7ZMFSHeJRB7W4dHUEyHQMwkr9Q/viewform?usp=dialog
The entire reason Tim got retired is so DC can bring him back with a new name and mission
Likely when he comes back he’ll have a new vigilante callsign/name. I think that’s the goal by DC. Take Tim away and return him with a non-Robin or “Drake” name to his fans that miss him and they’ll be so grateful that any new name backlash will be minimum and they’ll buy up his return/debut comic. He might have his own mission, kinda like Grayson and Spyral, but that’s less likely.
An idea for Tim Drake
I don't know how many other people have had a problem with the name "Red Robin" it sounds like he's pouting; because he can't be Robin anymore. Plus, there's a chain of restaurants by that name. I've personally, always, believed that he can do better. He's a great character! I love all of the Robin brothers. So, it hurts that Dc comics couldn't come up with something better. So? I'd like to see what all of you think about my choice. GridHawk!
Got this from a local toy fair
Guy said he was selling his deceased father’s collection. Nice guy, only asked $10.
Tim could've gone black ops.
Most interesting thing I discovered while cataloging my nre Tim Drake collection. That Tim could've been a government black ops agent yet decided to stay Robin.
Tim, most iconic look
OK, so cards on the table I am trying to design Tim Drake. And I am struggling deeply.
I’ve seen people mention that he’s actually Asian
Or part Asian . They’ve also said that about Jason and I don’t understand it. (I assume you all will know more than me on this topic. I’m pretty new.)
I always just imagined him as a pale boy .
But I was interested in hearing people’s opinions on how they see Tim Drake. But most importantly what would be iconic looks he would have unlike other robins. I have also come across people saying that every interesting hairstyle he had has been used on another robin later on. Idk.
I’m talking hair , body build, or even talking about why you have a favorite costume he’s worn. Or what you feel he should wear. Or that his eye color should be… something. Does he look like a Bruce clone?
Does he actually like coffee? Have giant bags under his eyes? Has Tumblr warped, my opinions?
I dunno. But I would really appreciate hearing different perspectives and opinions from people that love him. Especially because people keep trying to tell me he’s the blandest Robin. Which I feel is kinda harsh but I don’t know enough to say anything about it.
(also this is not a space for anybody to be mean or racist so please don’t. I will block I mean it!)
