I have this Denix flintlock replica which does the job, but I'd like to upgrade. Where does anyone get good costume pistols?

After a many year hiatus from reddit, I just stumbled on this subreddit. This was at the southern irwindale ren faire.

I was inspired by a video I saw on YouTube of a guy making my something similar with fabricated metal feathers, although mine is waxed leather and modeled after a Red Tailed Hawk’s wing, aside from the coloring. Just wanted to share it!

So I dont know what costume to wear, ive only been to one ren fair in Ohio, going back this year. But I sweated like a wenches first time, and tryong to avoid that, but also be able to be adaptive incase it gets chilly or something (I dont like the fucking cold). So here's my 5 options. I dont know which one I should focus on, because I really like all them, my choices for what I feel is feasible and would work is the pugilist and Kalinka, cause they both can be broken down and still work. I just need to know which one I need to do before I start doing my crafty work for little bits of armor and the like.

We made mushroom hats and my friend crocheted us each a lavender staff that's everyone called cotton candy but I'm not mad about it lmao 😂

It was 85 degrees out in the blaring sun and the hats offered some much needed shade, but at the expense of being very heavy and uncomfortable to walk around in lol

Definitely some improvement needed for next time! Any tips and tricks and advice is much appreciated! And anything you think we should add let us know!

I made this outfit for Maryland Renn Fest last year……

You can’t see it from this angle but there’s wings in the back. I was a fairy 🧚🏾‍♀️.

I really want to start taking commissions for stuff like this.

Put together and partially crafted by me for the Faire happening today in my area. Inspired by some Romani outfits, I made myself into a rainbow butterfly fairy for the day

Edit: my apologies for anyone who has been offended by the term used in the title. I didn't understand the severity of the treatment of the Romani people and the derogatory use of the term itself towards them. Thank you to those who told me without being rude or aggressive. The use of it was just so widely accepted (at least, in my experience as an American) that I had no idea it was a slur until now. I'm upset that I can't change the title, but if I could, I would.
