Hello, I have recently received these PSP's for a black c25 mini caviar in SGH. I paid $350 for this bag from Rome Factory. This will be my first purchase from Rome Factory. There are very little review for Rome so I would greatly appreciate your expertise. I picked Rome after comparing their factory photos to the authentic. Their factory photos look very good and the caviar leather did not look dry as compared to these.

I have compared these photos to the Rome factory photos and these are the differences that I have seen. Am I being too critical?

- the caviar looks extremely dry. Is that normal for Rome factory caviar leather?

- the misalignment of the stitching on the side pockets where i have circled. Or is it just the angle that the photos are taken??

- then on the 4th picture. The midline on the bottom of the bag looks very thick? I have checked several QC posts on here and their seems more seamless. If that makes sense? Again, am I being too nitpicky?

Everything else I think looks fairly good and I am happy with it. It's just these few things that I am questioning about.

Can you help me quality check this bag? I just got the pics, it all looks good to me, supposed to be the highest quality and match to authentic. The only thing I was wondering does the auth have little gold feet on the bottom four corners?

Just to be clear, Baobao didn’t ask me to make this post. This is 100% my own because I’d really value input from people who have a lot more experience in the rep world than I do.

This is my first-ever rep, so I’m probably overanalyzing everything. 😂

Factory photo start at #9

I spent weeks researching before buying, but the more I learned, the more I realized how much I didn’t know. At one point I found out a factory I thought was considered mid-tier was actually viewed as low-tier, which made me realize how difficult it can be to judge quality when you’re new. That experience pushed me toward buying from a trusted seller and choosing GF.

I was torn between 187 and GF for quite a while before finally making a decision. I ended up going with GF, and my total was $448USD shipped.
After comparing my PSPs to the factory photos over and over, I’m honestly struggling to find any meaningful differences.

Here’s what stands out to me:
• The overall silhouette looks structured and well-proportioned. I know the authentic flap is a bit straighter, but I don’t think that’ll be noticeable once the bag is actually being used.
• The stitching looks neat and evenly spaced.
• The leather appears slightly dry in the photos, but I plan on conditioning it with Leather Honey after I receive it.
• The logo stamp looks crisp.
• The hardware appears clean and well-finished.
Since I’m still learning, I’d really appreciate honest opinions from those with more experience.

A few questions:
• Is there anything that immediately catches your eye?
• Does the overall shape look accurate?
• Do you notice any stitching, symmetry, or alignment issues that I may have overlooked?
• And most importantly, if this were your bag, would you feel completely confident carrying it out in public?

I hope newbies like myself that purchased or are influenced by IG/tik tok do a bit of googling and come across my posts. The first taste of reps had me in a tizzy and I ended up ordering four bags, two from Hoshi (items coming on Monday) the Amazona 180 from Li Na (from dressyourselfhappy IG) and a Lindy 26 in black from luxuryrepbags.com

Seller: Luxuryrepbags.com (their website boasts their rave reviews from trustpilot and MANY influencer videos)

Factory: “custom handmade” was the answer I got when asked

Price: $490 total

Background:

To preface, I’ve never owned any Hermes products or Chanel so the Lindy and the Maxi Flap were a gamble for me and I let my thirst guide me 🫣 With my newbie “research” I used Fashionphile photos as my auth comparison guide and even then it was very surface level. Now, that I’ve seen many posts and went down many rabbit holes, I can spot differences and became well acquainted with the search bar so can’t be fooled a 4th time right?!

Quality / Materials: 7/10

Per their site “At LuxuryRepBags, we offer 1:1 top-quality designer bags, crafted with same leather materials used in the originals for an authentic look and feel.”

Again, I don’t own any Hermes to compare and I am not leather savvy but this can’t be Taurillon Clemence calfskin leather, now way. It is a pebbled leather and feels sturdy, seems it can take some rough handling. The strap however is what’s knocking it all for me, it feels like a plasticky leather with a rough edging and very flimsy.

Leather Accuracy vs Auth: 6/10

The grain is not consistent through to the corners, it’s giving a rubbed off look which I’ve not seen even in my mid-range pebbled leather bags. As you can see in the photos there is no slouch compared to the auth and from what I’ve read it could be that it’s very dry. ABSOLUTELY this is very dry and almost a chalk like surface feel, this is in the long strap too but worse.

Construction: 7/10

The stitching is mostly clean and evenly spaced throughout. I did find the blunt thread ends easily but thankfully it’s placed at the bottom, unseen. The shape is a lot boxier and doesn’t have that slight slope compared to their factory/page photo which has very little slouch too. The rolled handles come out a little bit more and not as flushed to the sides but as it slouches hopefully will become less noticeable. I was given advice to ask for close ups of the side panels and I will say those are pretty close and what had me GL.

Hardware & Branding 7/10

When provided the psp I did point out the hardware seemed too yellow so I was provided a new photo in different lighting. It’s not of a brassy yellow in person and I’m happy with the closeness to the auth. The engraving is different on the round clasps where I’m seeing the auth says ‘Hermes Paris’ mine is ‘Hermes.’ Now, here’s where an easy spot the difference could be. Although, the zipper is smooth, the top start does not have the little ‘H’ that I’m now noticing in many of the reps here. Small, but I can’t unsee it 🤣 Lastly, the brand stamp is pretty close and proportionally placed, definitely a pass there for me.

Shape & Structure 6/10

Here’s two parts that I can’t unsee and am trying to convince myself that perhaps it’s the slouch..the boxy shape of it then there’s the looong strap. The reps I’ve been obsessing over on here seem to have the natural slant even in their psp and mine didn’t show that from the get go. I relied on the fact that it had stuffing in the pics. Aaand there’s the strap..as I’ve mentioned it’s flimsy and too long, it’s as if they put the mini Lindy strap instead.

Value: 6/10

If it were truly the same leather as the original I can see the $490 being a fair price…this is another overpriced item for me that could easily have been in the ballpark of $300 (maybe less?!?) 😭😭😭

Customer service: 8/10

Despite the mid tier (low tier?!) quality and overpricing, the associates were always quick to answer and share pictures/videos, and updates with me. Until now, I’m in communication with them because I’ve pointed out the glaring difference with the strap length..

Final thoughts: (rate myself 11/10 for foolery lol)

Take it from me, do your homework and compare quality and prices! Don’t jump at the first low price compared to an auth, take it from this sucker 🫡

Okay, so I started my rep journey a little less than a year ago because I realized I’ve been spending way too much on auths and decided to give reps a try, and as a mom of twins now, my priorities have changed. Anyways, let’s get to it.

The bag I’m comparing is the infamous NF. The auth one was my work bag I got back in 2020. The rep is from OC I got from their sale about 2 months ago.

Price:
Auth: $1500 (2020 before taxes), $2240 (now)
OC: $145 (April 2026)

My thoughts:
Okay, I’m impressed. The canvas feels pretty similar. My auth has a little more texture but if you don’t have it side by side, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. I was genuinely surprised by the hardware. The auth was actually more yellow toned than OC. I know a lot of people here are worried about the yellow tone of the hardware but funny enough, I actually prefer OC hardware color. Also, the pull zippers are matte on the auth and shiny on OC. The glazing is more red on OC but I heard with use over time it will get darker. I’ve seen others use a copic marker (E74) to get it darker as well but do it at your own risk! I honestly don’t remember what my auth glazing looked like when it was new, it’s been 6 years. I think OC is a great option, especially for the price. Unless you constantly have people inspecting your bag side by side with an auth, I think this is a great option. This is my first rep science post and I hope it helps!

Need honest opinions from denim bag lovers…

I may have made an impulse purchase (rookie mistake on my end being that it was my first ever replica purchase) and now I’m second-guessing myself 😅 I bought a Chanel 25 denim bag, but I already own way too many denim bags — an auth LV denim, a Coach denim bag, even an Aldo one.

The thing is… all of those are much smaller. This Chanel is the first denim bag I’ve bought that actually feels like a larger everyday bagg, which makes me wonder if I should just keep it and style it instead of letting it go.

Right now the bag is still with my seller. She was kind enough to offer to hold onto it until it sells to someone else, she said when it does sell I could choose something else instead. She also said if I decide to keep it, I can just give her the GL and she’ll ship it to me.

So now I’m stuck in decision limbo 😅

To make things worse (or funnier), my SIL (hate that B$@!h) just got the exact same bag and I’m pretty sure hers is authentic because she works and is a bit of a luxury snob 🤬 I’m not worried about it getting clocked because I’ve seen the authentic model at the store, saw the PSPs it looks legit.
So now I’m like… great, we might end up twinning and then she’s going to tell everyone I’m copying her. I know I shouldn’t care what she says, but she always looks for a way to talk badly about me, she’s one of those evil SILs .

Part of me really hopes this bag sells so the decision gets made for me… but part of me thinks I might regret letting it go.
