Hello!! I just started watching this show with my sister and when I told my dad about it, he told me the character is actually based off of him!! My dad’s coworker is married to one of the writers on the show. My dad watched it and reached out to his friend to find out his wife wrote Mike based on my dad!! My dad’s name is Michael Thompson and does have one liners, concerning rants, and a very unique personality. I think the actor does a great job playing someone based on my dad!! I can’t wait to see how the show progresses but I thought it was a fun bit on information I found out and wanted to share with the community!

No matter how many times, I watched this show at my lowest point and can never forget the support it gave me. Today I watched the last episode of last season , I will forever watch this beautiful show. Thanks to reddit , I discovered it.
