[30-Day Song Challenge] Day 18: A song from the year you were born | Mine's Europe's The Final Countdown

Now this is one my favorite exercises because we always end up like "This song is from THAT year?!!!" and it makes the discovery way more entertaining.

I really like The Final Countdown. It encapsulates everything I love from the 80s music.

[30-Day Song Challenge] Day 16: A song that's a classic favorite | Mine's David Bowie's Let's Dance

Okay, covers added familiarity to the mix and things went pretty smooth from there. Can't say that I liked every cover but I certainly liked that you contributed! 💙

Now... What's a Mr Rodgers level song? What's that song that everybody just joins in and enjoys because it has had time to cement as one the few lucky ones to remain in the public consciousness? Think Hoobastank's The Reason or Aerosmith's Crazy or the Eagles' Hotel California.

I'm listening...

Half the cast was underused, here's proof of that. I also hope they fix that next season

With Lorne at the helm and the massive task that it was to mantain the reputation of the original show, we knew the cast couldn't be any shorter than stellar. And we got that. We got mad talented people who produced wonderful material (and I'm not even talking about the writers).

However, I do feel that half the cast played more of a supportive role than the others. It's bound to happen, it's understandable and expected... But this being their first season the expectation was that all of them would've had a fair amount of screen time. And later, over time, depending on their performances some would rise and some would fall behind.

I'm seeing this clip of Larry for the first time because someone posted something about yesterday, it piqued my curiosity and the man is great. Why didn't we see this on the show? (I feel like I need to clarify that I understand the difference between stand-up and sketch comedy).

Anyway, can't wait for next season to come and hopefully this time around everybody gets a fair shot.

[30-Day Song Challenge] Day 15: A song you like that's actually a cover |

Quite the emotional playlist the wedding one turned out to be. I appreciate all the suggestions. Wonderful songs!

Now covers. What I love the most about covers is realizing they're not actually original but a new version and thus opening the door of new material to discover, learn from and maybe fall in love.

Sooo... What's your favorite cover song?

[30-Day Song Challenge] Day 14: A song you'd like to be played on your wedding | Mine's Alicia Keys' Not Even The King

What a ride the 70s playlist was. Thanks a lot for all the recommendations. I had a blast listening to it.

Now a sappy one... This is a song you'd like to be played (or one that played) in your wedding.

For 10 years now I've known that 'Not Even The King' will be THE song of my wedding. What's yours?

[30-Day Song Challenge] Day 13: A song you like from the 70s | Mine's Donna Summer's Dim All The Lights

Hey few words today, I'm having a day but I didn't want to break the streak. The playlist was nostalgic and is great, I'm not.

[30-Day Song Challenge] Day 12: A song from your preteen years | Mine is Spice Girls' Wannabe

Honestly this rollercoaster you call life is a bit more manageable with music and thanks to you now I have more music to get by day by day.

Yesterday I got many recommendations from music I normally wouldn't hit play and I was nicely surprised. Hopefully today keeps the trend. According to the challenge we have to submit songs from our preteen years but I'm seriously asking you not to submit Barney or Sesame Street music. There's no hate or anything against that kind of music but I'm more interested in "Adult" songs that reached you when you were young.

Today was rough. This playlist was not an easy one to listen to, but I pulled through.

Now... We're looking for earworms, the ones that are stuck in your head and you just can't stop. Mine is This Love Isn't Crazy. This song just demands to be played over and over. What's yours?

[30-Day Song Challenge] Day 10: A song that makes you sad | Mine is Kashmir's Rocket Brothers

After a shitty day, a happy playlist was great. I certainly had fun and forgot a bit the dumps I was (still am?) in. But now it's the time for the sad sappy ones. Which ones are the ones you had to repeat because they didn't make you sad enough? Maybe because they remind you of a dark time or a bad moment... What's that sad song you relate to?

Today, more than ever I thank you for sharing songs at least they keep me connected to my human side. Thanks 🤗

[30-Day Song Challenge] Day 09: A song that makes you happy | Mine is Jessie Ware's Beautiful People

Well, that was one rough selection of tracks. Not all songs are mood boosters, that's okay.

Today's list couldn't be any better, I've had a shit day and need some good vibes to decompress and keep looking for a reason to stick around. So... What's that song that makes you happy? Which one puts you in a good mood no matter what? Beautiful People is barely 3 years old but I feel like it's been with me my whole life... Never fails me to make me happy

[30-Day Song Challenge] Day 08: A song about drugs or alcohol | Mine is Justin Timberlake's

Songs to drive to was a surprisingly fun and enjoyable time. More appreciative than usual with these recommendations.

Today is about songs about drugs or alcohol, I chose JT's Losing My Way which is the dark part of the talk, however there's also a very bright selection of alcohol related songs, LMFAO's Shots for example.

This will be interesting for sure...
