A series you've developed a newfound appreciation for on a rewatch?

I'll start. Series 6. I've always said it's my least favourite, only ever rewatched it once and that was at least 3 years ago. Reluctantly decided to give it another try last week and oh my god, I have really enjoyed it!

Alice Levine is an underrated gem. Asim Chaudhry is freaking adorable. Liza Tarbuck is a very worthy winner and one I definitely didn't appreciate at the time. Russell Howard is funnier than I remember. And Tim Vine. Oh, Tim Vine, I love you. You might have to be my new flair.

Don't get me wrong, 6 isn't perfect. There are some real dreary and forgettable tasks. But if you don't love some manly Vine Time in a box on the side of the road, something's wrong with you. (Yes, I'm talking to you, younger version of myself.)

S21 E3 Yes, I'm already on a rewatch - don't judge me!

The final summing up where Greg joyously pinches Joels joke about an awkward Wink & awkward Wank to yhe obvious delight of the cast & audience, is imho one of the finest moments in TM history.

Taskmaster Pairs?

I don’t remember the specific details but sometime recently TM posted a YouTube video about a task completed by historical people, one of the ‘contestants’ being a pair. If you were tasked (hehe) with designing a cast of celebrity pairs (not just couples but celebs well known when with the other person), who would you cast?

Phil should’ve had four targets (potential spoiler?)

This really bugged me when watching, because the task was shown that everyone was against Phil, but as he said, if he put too many dots on the target they would join up, however the ‘team’ of four had four targets (one each) to make as many dots as possible! Then for some reason Phil gets 0 points, despite only getting a few less dots with a quarter of the amount of space to do it? This task was impossible from the start for Phil, and it was a miracle that it was so close, and that was only because Jess messed up so hilariously badly. Love everything about the show, but this felt unfair. What do you think?

50th Bday TM Party

Hubby and I had a joint 50th TM party last night and had an absolute ball. My sister couldn’t make it from overseas so I did a filmed task a few months ago so she could be part of it; “get a candle into a cake from the furthest distance”.

The other tasks were: recreating some of our old photos, making something out of play-doh, meeting a stranger and finding out how they connect to us, and a few rounds of “don’t blow the last thing off the table”. SUCH FUN!! I’m still buzzing.

Here’s a shot of the candle task with my sister represented on my phone screen :)

Edited to add: I got the red lace backdrop for $3 from a charity shop and hung it with a black bedsheet. And my school’s Drama department lent me the throne. The other chair is literally a basic chair wearing a red wrap dress backwards!

Patatas por triplicado (Everyone's favourite Taskmaster Cat)

I, being a Patatas superfan, found beloved Patatas a while back.

In recent weeks I have happened upon the chance to get another Patatas and being a superfan, how could I say no?

First picture is my beautiful original Patatas.
Second picture looks to be a Patatas that has had things thrown at it in a tree.
I'm not sure what's happened to third picture Patatas. When he arrives I will try and make him more comfortable.

I'm also thinking of trying to spruce them up as much as I can and may do some sort of giveaway somewhere for TM fans.

TLDR I'm obsessed with Patatas.

Anyone else dislike TMAU Season 5 like I do?

So I'll admit I'm not a Tom Gleeson fan. But I have very much enjoyed TMAU thus far bc I've liked the contestants so much. But this season there is basically only two likable people for me (Rove and Celia). I'm just not getting any charm or joy from the others. The teams have no connection with each other either. Is it just me? Or anyone else super meh about this one?

Taskmaster Crackers

Had an absolute ball with my friends today playing with the Taskmaster crackers

I brought them for Christmas last year and didn't get a chance to use them and can confirm you definitely get your moneys worth and theres so many tasks that you can easily play it again

I think the Taskmaster International youtube channel messed up

It seems like the Taskmaster International youtube channel accidentally put the title for Australia Season 2 Episode 9 as the title for Australia Season 5 Episode 4. According to the Taskmaster wiki episode 4 for Season 5 should be titled "Jesus would've nailed this" but instead they just seem to have copied over "Killed by a nerd" from the Season 2 episode

Update: the title on the season 5 episode is actually fixed and corrected to "Jesus would've nailed this" now

Been watching clips of NZS2 and it's as good as everyone says, but I don't think the cuts to studio reactions add much

I think Alex and the Andys are right about this! It's just shots of people smiling, or chuckling, and I'm sort of keen for them to go back to showing the task.

Anyway it really does live up to the hype, I'm loving it, and I do wish Channel 4/Taskmaster YouTube would sort out and stick to accessibility for UK viewers
