Not going to lie, had x 5 to finish higher up in the star race and this opponent just gives up even though they had a higher score! This happen to anyone else?
Im sorry, but honestly what does any of this actually mean?!?!
Ok, let's start this off by saying this isnt a post about umpiring mistakes or an opportunity to bash the umpires. They have a though job. This is just an opinion on what I feel could help fix a lot of umpiring problems.
First off - Full time umpires. How this isnt a thing is crazy. There isnt enough for them to do - I would argue there would be and this is how
EDIT: I'm not saying all full time umpires just the Head Umpire of the team - The rest could/will still be part time.
There are currently 9 games (eventually 10) a round. I would employ a 'team of field umpires' that would always umpire together. The most senior or head umpire would be full time. The boundary and goal umpires are excluded - Just going field umpires here.
Build the field umpires in teams of 5 - There are 4 currently on the field i would reduce this to 3. The full time umpire umpires the whole game, the other 2 rotate so we keep them fresh.
Umpire 1 - Full time, Full Game
Umpire 2 - Q1, Q2, Q4
Umpire 3 - Q1, Q3, Q4
Umpire 4 - Q2, Q3 - First Reserve for last quarter
Umpire 5 - Emergency/Back up in case of injury
This will set a standard for each umpiring team so when you play matches you know what you're going to get from each umpiring team. The full time Umpire would train the ones below, help develop. This will give more opportunities for pathways as well because you will always have a mentor with you. The full time Umpire would review the games, coach and support the other umpires in the team and highlight what they did well, wrong etc.
If that doesn't take up 40 hours they can do training clinics for lower levels to help younger umpires, even kids develop.
Anyways basically Full Time umpires need to be a thing and group them into teams so we can get a more balanced game from the sets of umpires rather than a random 4 every week.
Just going through a rematch of SG-1 and up to season 5 where the Tollan weapons are not longer effective against the Goa'uld.
They then start making weapons that can pass through matter - Why not use them against the Goa'uld rather than building them for the Enemy to use?
Thanks.
Been re watching SG-1 and have a curious question
In season 5 when the Tollan makes the weapons that can go through things, why not use them on the Goa'uld rather than building them for the Goa'uld to use?
Won a case of Benspoke Big Nut Black IPA
What a delicious beer. Has the balance right - the hoppiness of the IPA blended in perfectly with the roasting of the malts to deliver this amazing beer that i could drink for days.
Not very sessionable at 7.0% so be careful if you stumble upon this beer.

Just a little shout out to these guys - Amazing beer. They have 10 taps that rotate through with a couple of core beers. Can't buy them in bottle shops- Have to go to their taproom in Ringwood, Melbourne but just near Haetherdale station (2minute walk) hence the name
Delicious Haloumi bits as well.
