Gotta love that the clowns couldn't even get that right on the first try.

New interview with Londell — and yes, it's yet another car crash

Transcript by someone on the Org:

Angela Davis: Baltimore, Maryland is listening this morning. Max is with us. Hey, Max, what did you want to share with us?

Max on the phone: Hey, I'm a big fan of Prince music. My.. song is by far Sexuality. It was sort of this combination of.. <the line is breaking up>

Angela Davis: Oh, Max, I can't hear you. What is it? What is it again? The song or the album? What is it? Can you?

Max on the phone: I'm sorry. Can you hear me now?

Angela Davis: I can hear you now. So what's your favorite album or song? I couldn't hear you before.

Max on the phone: My favorite song by far is "Sexuality" off of "Controversy",but my favorite album is "Parade" "Under The Cherry Moon", and I'm just curious if Londell, can share, if that is indeed the next deluxe set, and if it will include unreleased Claire Fisher arrangements.

L. Londell McMillan: Ah, you've got a real music fam on on the line, yes.

Angela Davis: And "Under The Cherry Moon", isn't there a screening of that movie (L. Londell McMillan: Yes) during the celebration?

L. Londell McMillan: Yes.

Angela Davis: When and where is that?

L. Londell McMillan: That screening will be on Thursday at the Royalston during our Thursday programming.

Angela Davis: Okay.

L. Londell McMillan: And to the gentleman's question, that is... It is in production and development, and we've got both Bobby Z and Lisa Coleman, among others, who are working with us to curate that Parade project. As you know, they've been working very closely. They worked very closely on that project. It's not the next box set, but we're going to be sending and making and producing and releasing a number of box sets as well as other albums including one later this summer, of music and they all won't be box sets, but you're gonna get a nice <Angela Davis interrupts with a question>

Angela Davis: And help me i'm not.. <L. Londell McMillan interrupts and finishes his sentence>

L. Londell McMillan: release of music.

Angela Davis: Tell me what box set means.

L. Londell McMillan: What he's referring to as a box set was.. which is a box, of cds, both both formally released, remastered, remixed, as well as new songs, <um> And he's asking, is it going to have Claire Fisher, <um um> tracks on it, <um> with the violins, and add it to the music, and so, these are the things that we add to the songs, and the compositions to make them better.

Angela Davis: How do you describe the status of Prince music that has not been released?

L. Londell McMillan: Right. That's a big question. They're in the vault. And some of them are,<um> songs that are either fully complete, partially complete, haven't been really developed enough. And so we're getting an inventory of all of these songs. Because it's very important that we put out music in a way that Prince would have appreciated, rather than just open them up. I'm often <clears his throat>, often the target of many of the fans' desire to want all of the music, and all of it now. And while I don't make all of the decisions for everything in The Prince Vault, I'm certainly agreeable that they should have more music as we can, but we've released over 190 unreleased tracks. And many of these tracks are in the box sets. So people are asking for, so much more unreleased music, but many of them, haven't even bought the box sets to actually access and listen to the unreleased music that has already been released. So, the part of me now starting to speak, is to communicate and educate people, hey, you want unreleased music? There's already over 192 unreleased tracks that's out there. But they want more, and we'll continue to kind of give them more, because many of these folks that are the major fans, they've said things to me such as "We want to hear everything before we die". But we also have an obligation to make sure that it's produced sonically in the right way. So generations of now, are able to hear the music, and hear the production, not as it was done 40 years ago, 30 years ago, but hear the production sonically for the moment so they don't just initially turn off. Because we have to keep younger generations engaged.

Angela Davis:: Right. I understand.
