Yes, I said it. Love it from start to finish. It’s a beautifully produced album that I can put on and listen to from start to finish without even thinking of moving the needle to the next song.

Definitely one of my favourite movies and moments the song is iconic for a reason this 4k version of Purple Rain is amazing i absolutely love it what other Prince songs or videos should have a 4k version? I also wish there was a full version of the movie for free on YouTube because i would watch it over and over again but it would’ve gotten copyrighted but anyways this is truly amazing Thanks You Prince we miss you 💜

I’ll start I listened to dirty mind, controversy, around the world in a day, Batman, purple rain, chaos and disorder, the gold experience, sign o’ the times, and parade so that’s 9 what about you?

I'm a middle-aged white guy that graduated from high school in the late 80s. MTV, Prince, Madonna, Springsteen, U2, Van Halen, GnR, etc. Was it on MTV from 1984-1991? That's largely "my" music (though I've got pretty wide taste apart from modern country).

I like or love:

Dirty Mind (song), Controversy (song), 1999 (practically the whole album), Purple Rain (the whole album), Around the World in a Day (90% of the album), Parade (90% of the album), Bob George (song - placed in this order since I had a bootleg from the late 80s), Alphabet Street (song), SoTT (95% of the album), Batman (50% of the album), Gett Off (song), My Name is Prince (song), The Most Beautiful Girl in the World (song), Black Sweat (song).

And I'm sure there is an occasional song in there that I've missed that I can tolerate, even if I don't actively pursue listening to it.

In short, I like Prince's rock and pop catalog tremendously but as he moved more and more into horns, funk, and jazz, I liked it less and less.

Considering his incredible output, I'm sure there are some great rock/pop songs in his later catalogue that I'm missing. Can any of you that stuck with him past the mid-90s help me find those? What are the tracks that I'm missing that had he put them out with a video on MTV in 1988 would've been super-popular?

Help me find those more accessible songs of his.

Can anyone recommend some songs that feature his guitar skills aside from Let’s Get Crazy?

Celebrating Madonna’s release of Confessions II (great album) remember the time she visited Prince at Paisley Park a year before his death in 2015? Oh to be a fly on the wall.

I love this interview. Prince is funny and gracious and animated and informative, giving a good bit of explanation and background about what's been going on and what he's planning. And predicting the future of course.

Recently I compiled a selection of tracks for a friend. I tried to choose songs that I think she would like, also i snuck in some tracks that showed his versatility and two of my all time favorites

But then i went back and looked at the tracks (15) and I think its a good introduction to Prince and his music overall.

Do you agree or am I yappin?
