I'm currently playing on VoS difficulty, and it feels almost impossible to fight off hordes without getting heavily punished. Even on NG+ (without infinite ammo enabled), you really have to carefully consider if a fight is even worth taking, because ammo is extremely limited even if you consistently hit weak points.

​I know this might sound obvious, but I'm bringing it up because the game usually teaches you to play aggressively to earn Lei and upgrade your guns. But if you play aggressively here without infinite ammo, you're almost guaranteed to get hard stuck on a boss later.

​For anyone who beat this mode on a fresh New Game (no NG+): how was the experience, and what strategy did you use to pull it off?

​Is Village of Shadows actually intended for NG+, or am I just overthinking how hard it's supposed to be on a fresh run?

i killed all three daughters and got all 4 masks, and it doesnt let me pick up the dagger. i tried refreshing the save quite a few times, tried chasing lady d closer, walked around most of the map for some cutscenes i might have skipped but still cant start the fight. anyone else experienced this?
