What’s the best way to play League infrequently?

I know the answer might seem obvious, but I’ve been wondering about this because Normal Games have been feeling incredibly unbalanced for solo players lately.

It’s always some guy picking Master Yi ADC on my team, while the enemy team is a full premade squad with a solid Jungler and a duo bot lane BMing in all-chat. There’s nothing I can do when my Yi ADC goes 0/15 in 20 minutes.

Ranked at least has some level of matchmaking balance. From what I’ve noticed, the pattern is usually two good players, one average, and two feeders on both teams—it’s honestly much less stressful.

The problem is that you can’t really test new champs in Ranked, and you need to play frequently to stay consistent and keep your mental in check.

I also saw a discussion where people were saying Normals are only for practicing for Ranked, because once you reach a certain skill level, you’re "forced" to play Ranked so you don't ruin the balance in Normal games.

For those of you who play League but don’t have much time or can only play on weekends: how do you do it? Do you stick to ARAM, Normals, or Ranked?

I’m having a hard time picking a lane and a class to stick with.

I’ve been playing League since Season 8, and I’ve always rotated between ADC, Support, and Jungle. Currently, I play Support because of the variety of subclasses; I don’t mind playing peel, tank, or mages when the team needs AP.

When I started out and was younger, I loved mages because I'm a creative person and I was really drawn to magical powers. But nowadays, I’m pretty flexible—sometimes I’m in the mood for fighters, other times assassins, and so on.

The problem is that I can't settle on one spot and say, "This is my lane." Mid is the one I play the least—not because I don't like the champions, but because I find the lane itself really difficult to manage.

I used to have a bit of a prejudice against "barbarian-style" characters, but lately, I’ve actually started enjoying them because of how aggressive they are.

How do you guys choose your lanes and classes in League (or even in RPGs)? Do you take your personality into account, or do you just go by the gameplay/mechanics?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been playing LoL since Season 8. I took a 2-3 year break and recently came back, but I’ve always struggled with mechanics, especially skill shots. Lately, I’ve been playing Lux, but I find myself missing a lot of abilities—even the easy ones.

I have a physical disability: my pinky finger on my right hand (my mouse hand) is permanently bent in a "trigger finger" shape. I feel like this significantly affects my coordination and precision.

I do relatively well with champions like Janna, Rammus, Nunu, and Maokai, but I struggle with high-intensity or skill-shot-reliant ones like Zyra or Lux.

What tips would you give me to play more efficiently? Are there specific things or champion types I should avoid? Also, do you know anyone who plays at a high level despite having hand or finger disabilities?

Thanks in advance!
