It doesn't feel like it's doing anything

I was put on this drug over 2 months ago and upped my does to .5 3 weeks ago but I swear it's not working. I'm still crying multiple times a day and still struggle with extreme suicidal ideation. I stress ate before this drug, but now that I'm on it I feel like I can't stop eating, and I've gained all the weight I've been trying to lose. I also have lost total motivation to go on hikes which used to be a hobby of mine. Is there anyone else who feels like Rexulti does absolutely anything?

Rexulti + Modafinil (or another adjunct) for motivation/drive?

Hi! Has anyone here taken Rexulti with modafinil or another adjunct specifically to help with motivation, drive, energy, or getting things done?

I know Wellbutrin is a common option, but unfortunately I’ve never had much luck with it. I’m curious about other medications people have tried alongside Rexulti, particularly if Rexulti is already helping with depression but you’re still struggling with motivation/drive.

Looking for personal experiences, especially what worked (or didn’t), doses, and any side effects.

Thanks!

Add on to pristiq

Anyone had luck with this combo?
I take 50mg of Pristiq and Concerta as well.
My main problems are sleep and motivation right now. Pristiq helps some but not 100%

I think Rexulti may have ruined my life

Context: I took 2 mg of Rexulti for maybe a decade and only recently found out that it was the cause of my anxiety. Every decision I’ve made over the last decade was made because I was so anxious and worried that I was trying to pre-solve every problem before it occurred. Does the pool have a leak? My brain said it was a crisis so I spent thousands trying to find the leak (which no one ever could) and refused to believe it was just evaporation. It was. Or the crack in the chimney made me believe the house had foundation problems so I spent thousands on engineers trying to prove it. They never could and I would never believe them. So I moved. Now that I’ve reduced my dose to .5 mg I can see that there were no problems. Now I have moved to escape that house and am in an old house with a huge mortgage that I will never be able to sell. I’m not anxious about my finances, I’m depressed. One day I will not be able to keep myself afloat. But now I’m trapped. Well, at least I’m not anxious and trying to pre-solve the problem.

Rexulti for OCD & Anxiety

Has anyone taken Rexulti for OCD that doesn’t respond to SSRIs and maybe just gets worse?
Have you also tried Risperidone, Vraylar, or Latuda?
How did it compare to those in helping your OCD, and which was more tolerable?

I had some bad side effects with Abilify so I’m really hesitant about Rexulti.

Help with side effects please

Hi after trying almost all antipsychotic for my bipolar depression for the last 10 years my doc finally landed me on brexipiperazole. I started on 0.25 for 1 month and now on month 2 am at 1mg. Initially I had a lot of problems sleeping but now things are better. I used to sleep till 10am now I wake at 4am everyday. I just wanted to ask have other people felt really tired in this med? Like I need to take 2-3 tiny 15-20min naps a day. Oh and coffee or tea dosent work anymore this thing is blocking adrenalin so hard…Do these side effects subside because I really need this one to work for me and I know the target dose is higher. So it’s looking like it’s going to take like 3 months to stabilize my brain at the target dose. Which is a ridiculous amount of time to get used to a new med.

Being on Rexulti for years

Hi 22F schizoaffective here, I’ve been on 4mg of Rexulti for years now and it has completely saved my life.

I’m not going to go into my full story with it because that would take hours but I wanted to share how much this medication has helped my psychotic symptoms. I deal with both psychosis and mood symptoms, and I don’t take anything for mood at the moment as I have exhausted my options, but I would love to say that no other medication has EVER worked and made me more clear headed than Rexulti.

I was curious about other people’s experiences with being on it for 3+ years, positive or negative!

Just prescribed

I'm diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and OCD. I was on lexapro 20mg and buspar 10mg for around 10 months, recently buspar became unavailable where i live so i had to stop it, due to that, alot of my symptoms came back. I also changed my psychiatrist for financial reasons and this was my first time going to her. She prescribed me 100mg fluvoxamine (luvox) and 1mg of brexpiprazole (rexulti). After coming to this subreddit, i've started to feel a little scared of starting rexulti. I have a couple of questions. 1- has anyone had good luck with rexulti for anxiety and OCD? 2- what should i expect? 3- any advice?

I was on Rexulti for depression

Rexulti was added to my Lexapro to aid with my passive suicidal thoughts. If anything it made them worse. I don’t think this medication is aiding me anymore. Should I raise it or stop taking it? Thoughts? Thanks.
