I just got into the game and have had a hard time finding cards, yesterday I went to a local shop in a city nearby and was shocked at how much inventory they have with those prices, is this normal?

Guys!!!! I got my first signature card!!!
So I just started collecting TCGs last week as a huge LoL fan. Did my first box last weekend and pulled an OVN. Link on those pulls here-

this weekend (today) I was going to open up my second box ever and I was going to rip this whole box then post a pulls post here. But I just now pulled a signature Jayce! I got so excited! Hands literally shaking haha Had to share my excitement right away!!!
Now, I a soooo new to TCG collecting. So I need some help. I have a binder for my unleashed collection and now bought one for my Vendetta collection. However I don’t want to put the card in the binder for two reasons (unless it’s very recommended by you guys to protect it??!)
1- It looks so good!!!!! I can’t possibly lock it up in a binder can I?
2- I feel there has to be a better way to protect it?
I currently have it upside down in a penny sleeve and right side up in a top loader (Chat GPT told me to do that way. Tell me if I fkd up).

Sorry if these are dumb questions. But this is such a cool card. I’m so excited for it, but also new to TCG and want to know best practices based on your experiences.

I just got into Riftbound, and TCGs in general, last week when I opened my first box and ripped my first pack. It was an Unleashed box my local store had. Well, needless to say I got hooked and bought a couple Vendetta Booster boxes I found at Best Buy. I decided I would rip one today and start my Vendetta collection this weekend. And my luck from last week carried on! My second box in, and I got a Jayce OVN Signature card!!!!!
Anyways, flipping through people’s pulls on this sub is what got me into Riftbound. As someone that’s been playing League (and all its iterations) since 29-4, I thought the cards looked cool. And now I can contribute with my own pull posts 😁
Normally I’m not able to attend Nexus Nights where I live because I have a class that runs during that time, but this day I decided to skip that class so that I could play some riftbound. After a few fun games, including a very fun Vex mirror that took the whole 50 minutes just for us to draw 1-1, I selected 2 vendetta NN packs from the pile that was offered to us and pulled the Mel chase! The art on this card is so cool. I love how long her neck is. I guess that was the right day to skip class.
I am not sure how this sub entered my feed. But I have been a League player since 2014 (Diana/WW Jng main). I saw a post here and thought those cards have sone cool art.
Never been much in collecting, but the cards are easy to store and being a big fan of LoL, I thought it may be fun to pick up.
Anyways, here is the first box or even card I’ve ever bought. Will be opening them tonight! I hear that Diana is the chase card in this set, so I figured it was a good set for me to start with 😁
(Also, didnt realize how hard it was to find these, went to 4 stores, and at the 4th one I found this box.)
Edit: i found interesting that i’ve got both Rengar and Khazix as the guaranteed pulls from the same booster, considering they are deadly enemies according to League lore. Seems like something that was made on purpose rather than something random.

My nephew was born this year and I want to prepare a big bundle with items from 2026. I will offer him this bundle when he turns 18.
I want to buy packs (or other items) from mriftbound but also other tcg.
For riftbound, what item do you think is the best choice for a gift in 18 year ? (he might open it, keep it sealed or just sell it if it has any value in 18 year, it will be his decision)
I want something that represent what was the best in riftbound this year.

Weekly look at what moved in Riftbound singles and sealed. Prices are TCGplayer market prices for near mint cards, compared with the same day last week. Cards under $5 are left out so a few cents of movement doesn't top the list.
The big story: Origins Seals. Seal of Rage nearly tripled this week, and four other Origins Seals went up 18 to 30%. Rage climbed a little every day instead of jumping on one sale, and the cheapest listing ($30) is right around the market price, so this looks like real buying, not one weird sale.
